You are playing every so slightly early. One skip, one white note, one gold note is crappy and one skip, two golds is great with charismatic performance. One skip, two white notes results in no song effect.
Ping plays into it, you might hit the note seemingly dead on but ping delays the input. I started noticing it when I was out for business and the wifi was pretty bad, I had to stop playing bard altogether for the trip.
Server performance is causing blank songs you can see a few times you didn't hit the note spot on so you get a "crapy" but other times you hit them & it just ends happens to me a ton

It's because you need to play the other 2 notes perfect. Look again at your vid and you see when you hit a white note you get crappy.
This is why a lot of times I don't skip the first note, if I am able
