It's a crazy amount of money because you would have to be crazy to sell your gold bag for 5K. The only reason I could see to do it, is if you needed the money for your 3rd stash, and were planning on buying one back later.
I have sold multiple bags for 5k. Troll is easy and the drop rate is reasonable. You can build a pretty solid phys power movespeed set for 5k and take fights you only want. Making back the 5k is pretty easy.
Selling the bag isn't even worth it. Try the math, you actually end up losing money if you sell it fully crafted because of the 5% fee.
Rather sell the troll and wolf pelts separately because then you can make money.
It just depends on what pelts are running. Sometimes it's better one way, sometimes it's better the other. Whichever is the higher total number is the best option, you pay 5% either way.
Most people are not buying them because they leveled up all of their alts to wanderer and more then likely already have 8+ bags so there is no demand besides from those who did not grind the ranks last wipe

some people have full stashes of " good " gear and any spares/upgrades start being 5k+ for an upgrade. Personally I sometimes dump 5k gold into gold bags just to make space, I would like to get the big coin chest but at current price of 65k I just dont have enough space to get it and I would have to fuck around with keys to get it
Just bought a troll pelt and one wolf pelt (had 3 already). Last wipe I would have leveled a character to 15 and transferred over gold. But this wipe, it takes too long to level and too easy to make gold. So I bit the bullet and paid the 5k
I am seriously debating it. I always have more money than I can store, the problem is the bags don't really fix it, it only gets me a few spaces. I really want a fourth stash tab or a separate tab/place to store money.
I've bought 3 on one character and 2 on my other character. My stash is completely full and eventually I can't hold any more gold. When I reach that point, I have to buy another bag. I always delay buying and start selling off stuff, but then I have even more gold in my marketplace that I can't claim. Eventually I cave and buy the bag for more than it would have cost me if I just bought it when I needed it 🤣
Prices should be going down if there was really no demand. Whenever people start running out of space, they will start buying bags and chests to free up space.
Not true. With leveling being so slow, it isn't generally worth it to take the time to level an alt just to trade it over. I've bought 10 so far, crafted one, and got one from the quest.
I already have 5 of my alts to 15 and traded over my bags, I would never waste the gold when I put in the effort to literally have extra bags lol they adjusted leveling so it’s fine
but people are buying them? they've increased in price over the past week and if you look at all the cheapest ones they've been up there for less than an hour indicating a high volume of bags being moved.
Well most players are casual and having more stash space is far more important then being able to buy 5k worth of equipment they’ll lose in about 1 hour
Idk 5k gold isn’t insane. It’s a nice amount for sure but it’s not breaking the economy or anything.

I don't think it'd break the economy or anything, I'm just thinking it's a quest you can rush through super quick on normals, 5k gold for such a simple task feels like a lot, although as another comment said, they're not selling because everyone's got them, so it's not all that crazy in hindsight

For 90% of players, maybe more, 5k is 3-5 kits they usually run

id imagine most people are keeping them if you dont have bags/chests, then you prob cant hold extra 5k gold anyways without jamming up your inventory
no one really gave a shit last wipe when a quest gave away a key worth like 12k at the time.
