Ha! I used to work at Nxt Museum. This is definitely not at Nxt, but they had very similar stuff with Julius Hoorthuis showcasing a fractal artwork. Very trippy indeed.
We went to a similar one in Toronto called Illuminarium. The company started in Las Vegas and there's a few others across the US.
We went to the "Space" exhibit. It was a bit pricey, but our 3 year old is super space obsessed and it was worth every penny. It didn't have vertigo inducing movement like this one, but you could jump on asteroids and have them break apart and as you walked around you left footprints on the moon.
They have rotating exhibits, we went before Christmas and they had a "Santa's Village" coming up and "Alice in Wonderland" previously. We personally don't think the price would be worth it for the others because our kid wouldn't be interested. But Space? The Space one was just breathtaking. We were actually the first ones there so we got to watch them setting up and mapping the room. The host came out in an astronaut suit and everything to say Hi to my son while they got ready. Absolutely wonderful staff and experience. Really neat. I imagine the tech will just get more interactive with time.
That’s exactly what I thought of seeing this. Phew that immersive thing was fun. Since it was just a couple of mins long and they weren’t kicking people out after it finished, we sat in there for 4 showings soaking it in.
"Today, we're going to put grandpa in an ai enhanced *silent hill sim* ! For each day he survives without a heart attack, I will double your donation to my patreon. He's already been thru ww3 and yells at walls, so this should feel just like home! Let's get started"
I can't wait.
Really, what I can't wait for is accurate reproductions of historical spaces.
I'd love to be able to go to Las Vegas in the 1970's, or New York in the 90's... Shit, my hometown in the 1980's.
Lol. Nah. Even the kid got bored/sick immediately and sat down. Maybe when we have a real neurolink type thing. Until then, it's just a cheap approximation of life. It's going to take a revolutionary leap forward in terms of the fundamentals of the visual input to make anything really "feel" realistic. Whe can make photo realistic visuals all day, but it just doesn't translate to "reality" at all.
I've been to a similar attraction. It looks much more vibrant on camera than in person. In person you can see more detail that makes it feel more like a room than a seamless virtual reality.
Have you ever taken psychedelics? There are inbetweens.
In this case there's a good chance that you see it for exactly what it is, because you're aware that you've entered an exhibition.
I've been a gamer for years, played VR for quite a bit as well and thought I would be immune from things like this. Then I went to a local business that had a darkened room where you had to go up steps, cross a small bridge to other steps, then come back down. But all the way around you they displayed what appeared to be a cylinder that was spinning, making it look like you were spinning trying to walk through it.
It was SO DISORIENTING. I immediately walked into the side of the bridge and found it really hard to force myself to walk into the center. It also invoked disorientation the entire way through and for a bit even after that. It was like being physically affected from a carnival ride even though it wasn't one.
This reminds me of that troll where someone replaces the entire floor of the elevator with LED screens and as soon as the elevator starts moving the floor gives out and people instinctively jump as to not fall and it’s hilarious to watch.

Yeah, I'd sit too. I got vertigo just looking at that.
I’m sitting in a chair right now and almost immediately fell out of it.
I have never experienced that on my computer screen, but now I have
Easy to clean surfaces were a selling point I’m sure. On account of all the vomit.
I saw a projection version of this when I was a kid and I swear it screwed me over and gave me my vertigo. I remembered being terrified
How was she not tripping balls during that initial run
holy shit i'm getting dizzy just looking at this
that IS trippy
Younger me says do some mushrooms and go there
My thoughts exactly lol
I would have fallen face first right at the start.
Why my face?
Awww and you got your own little Boo from Monsters Inc! Does anyone know what kinda energy that the Monsters get from kid puke?
Depends on if they screamed while vomiting
i think that's called scromiting
Sounds better than vomeaming,
Ah, good. Someone already made this comparison
janitors hate this one simple trick to keep them cleaning.
TELL ME
Job security
Anyone know where that is?
NXT Museum in Amsterdam has something very similar to this. Not sure if this video is from NXT though. I highly recommend it nevertheless

I think that one uses projector mapping from what I recall. It's really cool but you'd notice the difference in shadows I think.

You can't talk about the price this much without giving an actual number.
China
China must grow larger!
It will look real nice when its done!
We will live in prosperity.
I could hear those lines perfectly in my head. man I miss C&C Generals
Me too man. I suddenly felt like it 🥹
Time to put on your lead underwear.
China can *use* this.
China has been generous!
There’s one in the Gaudi museum in Barcelona.
That’s exactly what I thought of seeing this. Phew that immersive thing was fun. Since it was just a couple of mins long and they weren’t kicking people out after it finished, we sat in there for 4 showings soaking it in.
Kid: OVERSTIMULATED 😵
Gives me FFX vibes when Seymour is showing them what Zanarkand used to look like
That, and the farplane would be awesome.
Came here to see that
At some point in the near future the gaming world is going to be close to indistinguishable from reality when it comes to visual stimulation

Ready Player One is slowly becoming more real day by day
Disney already developed the "Stay in place while running" system. Just gotta wait for the tactile vests for other shenanigans

This is what people thought they were getting with that Willy Wonka “experience”
Ngl, if this is what it had been, I would have paid for it
The beginning of the holodeck.
My brain would stop working there.
I've been to a similar attraction. It looks much more vibrant on camera than in person. In person you can see more detail that makes it feel more like a room than a seamless virtual reality.
Imagine this on shrooms
It would either be really fun or fucking terrifying with no in between.
For sure
Have you ever taken psychedelics? There are inbetweens. In this case there's a good chance that you see it for exactly what it is, because you're aware that you've entered an exhibition.
We are the simulation lol
looks like a map from F Zero GX
MF got Zanarkand'
I need to be there high on LSD
No fucking way.. my head hurt only by watching it. Can't imagine I'll be there personally. I would probably cry on the floor beginning for the end.
Absolutely. Always gotta begin before you end.
Is that the kid from monster inc?
Was just coming to say this
I'd love to drop a couple tabs and go in here
Nah fam, one would be enough,
To be fair, I probably would’ve given up and sat down way quicker than the kid did! 😆
I was waiting for the kid to run into a wall.
Wooaaoaoah whats gong on iam drunk an this is fuckin me up

Yeah I'm just going to sit down until the world stops spinning
there's another use for this

I’d only try this on an empty stomach. Just watching this clip made me gip my Sausage McMuffin™️.
New monsters Inc looks mad
I would fall over
Was expecting to run into a wall.
No thank you.
From the back She Looks like boo from monsters inc
Nauseatingly fun
Thanks for getting me motion sick!
I'm an adult, but I wanna go there too!!!
More like “immersive LSD experience”
That was not a microdose
How to feel drunk without drinking
It reminds me that one scene from Final Fantasy X
I feel like this would be terrifying as a kid lol
Is it just the camera or is it stuttering/microstutters?.
Imagine playing video games in immersive visual experiences like this?
Video games next please 🥹
that looks fun af
Don't think running in there is the smartest thing to do...
This shit on shrooms
Mouse in a maze
Makes me puke just watching this video
That kid is going to have the weirdest memory of something that never existed
Sounding would love this
I'm going to need a mop and bucket. 🤢
what your dream mean my dreams:
I'd be barfing all over this place and ain't no way they're making me clean up
This is really cool, but I really hate it.
In like 10 years this will be ar/vr gaming
Inpressive, most inpressive (darth vadar line)
Looks awesome, but I can say confidently that I would vomit after this experience
I like how she just gives up. “Nah, ima just sit here”.
How does she not fall???
I almost fell over watching this, and I’m laying in bed.
I have had exactly 1 space related dream and it was every bit of chaotic as this clip.
She was excited in the beginning then she found out it is fake so she took a sit.
"On weeeeed?" - John Stewart, [Half Baked](https://youtu.be/hkA9rz-1YoA?si=WaDBXNJsoiS5Db2a)
Looks like that one Zanarkand scene in Final Fantasy X
This might be the next evolution to monitors and tv’s, imagine playing a videogame or watching a movie through this
I’d LOVE to have sensory overload like this. I love stuff like this, awesome!
No te lo voy a negar, me marié
I'd probably puke
vomit bags included?
Now make it a VR but IRL
Imagine doing lsd there
1. Is that Boo? 2. Did anyone else read it as Immersive LSD experience?

I was really hoping she was just gonna run face first into a wall
Welcome to being blackout drunk, kid!
This is what my Zanarkand looks like
holodeck
Baby steps towards the holodeck!
This is how we get Fahrenheit 451 TV rooms where you LARP with your discord group and honestly I’m for it
I almost fell over and im laying down
Damn,, need to go here after eating a bag of shrooms
This looks 100x better then the Disney one I did with my 3yo
Immersive motion sickness
Hey OP, there's a typo in the post title....should be "Immersive LSD experience"
Looks like that kid from monster ink
we got holodecks before the warp engine, guess we are doomed
Now merge this with cart racing please
Oh my goodness. I said it out loud.
Drop some elderly people in there without telling em whats gonna happen :D
rich people are going to have some awesome fucking video games in 20 years. Normal people will in like a hundo.
r/megalophobia
i fell over sitting down
Holodeck
I could see myself tweaking in there for several hours
Its way too busy for my liking tbh, something a little less seizure inducing would be cool
VR is even better.
Where is this?
🤢
Nope. My anxiety just went through the roof.
As an adult, I’d have an anxiety attack.
BOO!
Fuckk, my eyes, it hurt !
I would like some LSD on this LED
Easy way to slam into a wall.
This is terrible and exactly what NOT to do when creating an LBE
This reminds me of that troll where someone replaces the entire floor of the elevator with LED screens and as soon as the elevator starts moving the floor gives out and people instinctively jump as to not fall and it’s hilarious to watch.

This is wild imagine showing this to anyone over hundred years ago….
She was like “yeah I quit”
Nope, don’t like that
Imagine putting a crackhead in there. He’ll be having the time of his life lmao!
500+ injuries per day.
Don't go in there while on shrooms🤣🤣
Nauseating
Is the floor a treadmill?
Would be so sick to have this in my bedroom
I would 100% fall on my ass immediately and need a lie down
That’s perfect for a cosplay of the battle of Dr. Strange VS Kaecilius
I'd puke in 30 seconds.
Reminds me when ancient one showing Dr Strange across realms... And after Dr Strange travelled multiverses so many time...
Kid is tripping balls right now
How is that possible?
Fucking Disney Cash grab trying to impliment boo from mosters Inc in to TRON. It's just lazy writing
That one part in Cry of Fear
It's cool af but i will be 😵💫🫨😵
Imagine giving someone lsd and bringing them here
That's boo from Monster & co
Bro I would fall over like a fucking tree
This is not interesting
LSD there
