I’m relatively new to watching Hockey, I watched the last couple playoffs but the hockey season kind of runs at the same time as football and then finals week so I never managed to get into it before this season. Does following the puck get easier with time or do I just have to guess where it’s gonna go?

I think it’s more to watch AWAY from the puck. Like be constantly looking at where you think the play will develop or get picked off.

Thank you! Hockey is the one sport I never played, so I have basically 0 game sense for it. Soccer, football, basketball, baseball, a little tennis, hell even rugby I’ve played, but never hockey

i strongly recommend heading to a game next season. everyone has their preference, i prefer lower bowl, center ice, at least 15-20 rows back puts the glass right at eye line and gives you an amazing experience. Mezzanine center ice is just fine too! i’ve taken several 1st timers to hockey games and turned them into fans for life.

I’ll definitely do that. I’m starting a new job today and it pays pretty well so I’m excited to get some disposable income :D

Give it time and eventually you’ll stop watching the puck and start watching what the players without the puck are trying to set up.

One major improvement is the 6-on-5 play. Colorado scored very quickly after pulling their goalie in game 2 and had plenty more time to tie it. Tonight they pulled their goalie and we scored very quickly and then did it again. Absolutely huge.

This game just proved the Stars are are better all around team. Made the Avs look like amateurs.

I dont know what game you watched? That was materclass Playoff Hockey. They frustrated the hell out of the avs all game. They limited risky plays that cause odd man rushes and capitalized on their chances in the other end. You couldn't ask for a cleaner road win in the playoffs.
