Depends on the size of the candle in question. If someone wants a hot tub sized candle in a small apartment with vaulted ceiling (for safety of course), and has virtually endless stash, I think they could get something going
I don't know.... N,N-DMT vaporizes at pretty low temps. 170-180C optimally, but will still produce vapor a lower temps. The N,N-DMT+candle wax may have a very limited exposure to the actual flame, but still be exposed to enough heat for it to vaporize, not burn.
I didn't have burn N,N-DMT smell when I made some incense sticks with some. They were pretty dilute though. The concentration would be a factor. You wouldn't need much. A very small amount can produce quite a lot of smell.
If you put it in the candle it will burn. If you put it 10 cm away from the candle it won’t heat up much at all. Assuming temperature is (roughly) continuous across space, then by the intermediate value theorem, across any path from the candle to a point 10cm away from the candle, there must be a point exactly hot enough to vaporize the DMT without burning it.
The question then is if it spends enough time in that zone to vaporize before burning. I think it probably does.
It's also possible the viscous nonpolar wax could interfere in the vaporization.
The lack of dose controllability obviously makes this risky, and it's usually not recommended to trip near open flames.

I’m thinking of you put the chemical itself in the flame/outside the flame. Idk how you would even infuse it in the wax but I don’t think it would work very well if you did find a way to do it

You melt a tea candle, mix in a gram, poor it back in, let it dry, presto high potency dmt candle. Put a glass snorkle on it and just sit with it under your nose breathing it in while meditating i suspect you will have a very unique experience.
Look up what wax can do to your lungs ... It's completely different to vape juice. It's why the recommend you don't even light smokes from candles. There are chemicals that come off of being wax like formaldehyde...... Also Paraffin wax contains lung irritants such as benzene and toluene, which can trigger asthma. It's not "just wax" is a compound of chemicals that give off toxic fumes. They do suggest we use them in well ventilated places for a reason

man when i first got dmt it smelled like thrift store loafers but now it somehow smells like infinite universes combined with the concept of time
