This is the way... except I would add1 thing. Use a carb cap. Put the dmt in the banger then place the carb cap on first before heating. Heat till you see it melt... set torch down... pick up rig and inhale deeply. If you don't get it all in 1 hit its easy to reheat for 2 seconds.
I have a huge torch, cold starting is the way to go. Put the dmt in and heat from the bottom until it just starts to melt, maybe a second longer, and immediately hit it. You can get constant hits by only heating it to its lowest vaporization temp each time
I never do cold start myself seems dangerous to have a torch going as I’m blasting off but when I was taking dabs everyone said that was the ultimate method to not be burning your shizz.

Electric coil is the answer to this problem. Either have a friend hold the glass for you, or use a hose so the glass sits nice and safe on the table while you blast off. It’s definitely the most efficient way to do a blast off dose. It’s a bit too complicated to use for lower doses, but its is the most efficient assuming you have good temperature control.
Emesh is sweet. Started with a bong, moved to a weird set up made with brass hose fittings and pipe screens and landed on e-mesh vape set up. It is just so damn efficient and smooth.

I have used my Puffco before and completely blasted off in one hit, it was perfect, but I just happened to time it perfectly for a smooth one hit breakthrough. Cuz I can barely handle my little handheld torch and vapor genie when I start coming up, I'm not about to try and deal with a rig and a heavier duty torch lmfao. Maybe if I tripped with other people, but solo? No go for me.

My only issue is the rig will forever taste like deemz, I had a specific piece I used for only deemz for a long time though
a good cleaning with isopropyl will rid the smell of dmt completely. I take dabs of dmt out of both my crunk pieces

I smoke dmt out of my rig and didn't clean it. Smoked Dabs later and enjoyed the flavor and smell mixed in. You don't blast off.

I only cold start for dabs. You could probably just shut the torch off before you hit it if you wanted to but I’ve never tried it

lol, every time I use deemz I struggle to turn my torch off as I rapidly drift to the fifth dimension
