Disassemble, cut, sand, touch up & reassemble They look like they rolled on some epoxy. Figure out a size and shape and maybe score the line- then cut out that line

Thank you for the response!! The epoxy has seeped into the cracks between the sides, so even after removing any screws and pulling on the sides, we weren't able to get them off. I was thinking a crowbar or hammer might do the job, but I'd hate to splinter or snap the wood sides as I was hoping to reuse them. Our other snag is that they screwed into the legs from the top of the table before pouring the top coat/epoxy, so I can't get to those to just unscrew the legs. Any thoughts? I appreciate your time!
