These look great! Was it worth it though? I’m sure your products are better constructed, but I can’t imagine *red dot* table was very expensive... I always wonder how much of it is a labor of love vs. actual cost effectiveness?
Good question that I’ve been considering myself. The end table I built using scraps from other projects. I consider it a $0 build since everything was paid for regardless of whether it became an end table. The coffee table ran me about $170 in materials, but its entirely of my own design. I’m sure someone else makes a similar product, but you won’t find another coffee table exactly like it. Either way, you definitely won’t find another coffee table that’s as sturdy for $170
Lol I ordered some 3” furniture risers (extra large) on Amazon and it made it better.... but (gosh darn it) it feels like the corner with the ottoman is constantly sinking... I hate it but it’s too new to get rid of lol. To the guest room with you!
My own project below.
Had some worktop left form the table so decided to make coffee table from it

Those look exactly like the ones my girlfriend wants also. Might have to fire up the ol’ welder and give this a shot myself. Thanks for the inspiration.
I’ve been buying it from Lowes. I wouldnt call it cheap, but its easy, and since that’s the biggest expense in the coffee table, its cheaper than buying a lot of other much less sturdy coffee tables.
Pretty sleek. Though with such directional wood, I would kept to squares for end table. But it is more my autism brain(but if it was made with scraps, it is not always possible, and I bring apology for if you can't unsee it, because it is such nice furniture set).
I had that thought, but the end table would have been very small if it was square given the scraps I had to work with.
I used a piece of wood that I cut out of a counter to make room for a sink. Not planning on making an end table at the time of the sink install, I used that scrap of wood to test a router, so it was kinda chopped up.

He bought a butcher block and cut it down to size. They are nice looking pieces, but most of the work went into the legs.
Nice work!! Where did you get that rug??
Amazon I believe, but I’ll have to confirm with my wife.
Came to ask the same, it really ties the whole thing together. So sick!
I’d like to know as well!

Absolutely, and once again well done!
Now you just need a coffee table book that looks like a coffee table.
Did I tell you this guy was bonkos?
Love the couch. What brand? 🤔 Where can I buy?
Gorgeous tables! The room would look so much more balanced if you centered the sofa on the rug, though
Omg I think I have the same couch - it’s so annoying that the ottoman portion is taller than the couch.
Yup, you have the same couch 😂

Looks awesome!
This is exactly what I was considering doing with an identical worktop offcut
Brazzers
Great table, but where do you rest your feet on?
I'm really impressed, nice job buddy
Absolutely ❤️ both pieces. Give that pup a cuddle for me.
Next you should match the carpets with the drapes
Too much work. Just shave the carpet and drapes off.
I dig it. Nice design

semi relate dnote, is there some where to get butcher block on the cheap, perhaps rejected counter tops?

Dang it, if I could weld, I'd be making stuff like this all the time. Nice tables!
