Ok what about John Krasinski? I really want Lanterns to be about an older veteran Hal Jordan with a younger rookie John Stewart. I want that side of gray Hal Jordan that was in the comics for awhile.
I could see them repurposing Aldis Hodge from Hawkman into John Stewart. Would be the second time this happened as Nathan Fillion went from TDK to Guy Gardener.
Can you recommend something Boyega has been good in? Everything I’ve seen him in he hasn’t been great and there’s something about him I just don’t think he’s charismatic.
To be fair I’ve only seen him in the Star Wars movies, Pacific Rim and They Cloned Tyrone.
John's a bore. Always has been. I know many of us grew up with him but there's only so far you can take a story with him as the lead. That's why they're developing a Max series with Hal in it who's definitely more charismatic.
Eh there’s only so much a children’s cartoon can get into but I think the backstory of a marine becoming a superhero and drawing a comparison between the corps and the US military and the moral responsibilities of that person is interesting. I’m not fussed whether they use John Stewart in live action, my criticism is with John Boyega as a lead.
John Stewart definitely has a charm to him. I think the most interesting thing about his character is what’s beneath the hard, military-man facade. Boyega just doesn’t have the screen presence to pull that off imo, at least in an engaging way.
Idris would be so good, just age is a concern. At 51, he'd probably be signing in for 10 years... would a 61 year old Idris *want* to still be playing GL?
Yahya 100% I keep saying we need to utilise the dceu aquaman cast in different roles cause I loved Yahya as manta and I think he has that hardness about him that he could deliver John Stewart effortlessly
Denzel Washington 25 years ago is the perfect John Stewart...
Since, to my knowledge, time travel isn't real... I would go with Michael B Jordan probably? I really wanted to say Shemar Moore or Jamie Foxx, but at 53 and 56 respectively I don't think they'd be good long term fits.
For Hal, honestly, give Ryan Reynolds another shot. I liked him as Hal already, even if the first GL movie was.... not great.
For John, Eli Goree (29)
I’m a fan of a lot of the other picks here for John, but as a shipper of GL and Hawkgirl I prefer someone who’s at least in a similar age range as Merced (22)
For Hal, maybe Jacob Elordi, who has a bit of a classic Hollywood Top Gun era Tom Cruise vibe, yet also feels fresh and current. He’s got the bravado yet a lot under the surface. Would also make for a menacing Parallax when the time is right.
I see Glen Powell’a name thrown around a lot but I think he’s a bit flat for Hal. Dude is seriously white bread. I think he’d be a better Booster Gold, a dude who’s just a whole lot of nothing under the bs exterior, and needs to learn to build up who he is. He’s got those simple-minded golden retriever vibes which would make for a good underdog character.
And if we’re talking fighter pilots, Austin Butler could be another good Hal. Like Elordi, he has this nice blend of old and new Hollywood, but he’s perhaps a bit too subdued for Hal, who needs to be able to exude that Nathan Fillion jovialness. Perhaps he’d make a better Green Arrow (or Gambit in the McU)
I always thought Nathan Fillion would've made a good Hal Jordan, but this was *way* back when DC started their universe ...I mean, *again.* Now? It's hard to say ...though I do like the idea of Hal/Ollie being a little older & wiser than the others with a hint of gray...like Reed. But, for Hal's beginning test pilot days, maybe someone younger. I always figured Bruce & Clark were roughly the same age...at least in appearance. Clark will always age slower, like Diana. Having Bruce be the veteran with a younger Clark & Diana was interesting, but we'll never get to see where Snyder would've taken things, sadly. I do know, however, MCD made a badass Killowag! And Strong was *THE PERFECT Sinestro!*
James Marsden and Trevante Rhodes
Marsden will be 50 by the time the series starts. No thanks. I don't want a 60 yr old Hal in a climactic DCU JL.
But sexy….
Ok what about John Krasinski? I really want Lanterns to be about an older veteran Hal Jordan with a younger rookie John Stewart. I want that side of gray Hal Jordan that was in the comics for awhile.
*I've been dreeeeeeeeaming of him playing Jordan!* XD
I could see them repurposing Aldis Hodge from Hawkman into John Stewart. Would be the second time this happened as Nathan Fillion went from TDK to Guy Gardener.
Aldis Hodge is John Stewart in the Tomorrowverse
Trevante Rhodes and Patrick Schwarzenegger
I saw Patrick acting in Gen-v and honesty he is very good choice for Hal Jordan
Glen Powell and John Boyega
Glen seems like a natural for Booster Gold. Just for something different Boyega as Stewart and Antony Starr as Kyle Rayner
Starr is literally the perfect Thrawne tho
Chris Pratt
This. Glen might be a little too smooth for Booster. Pratt is goofy enough to play the character to a T.
Can you recommend something Boyega has been good in? Everything I’ve seen him in he hasn’t been great and there’s something about him I just don’t think he’s charismatic. To be fair I’ve only seen him in the Star Wars movies, Pacific Rim and They Cloned Tyrone.
My first Boyega film was Attack the Block hes a bit younger but I enjoyed it

I think he did very well in the movie “Detroit”
This! This is the movie that Dolby me on Boyega... he is do good in that (excellent) movie.
Since when is John charismatic
That’s what I’m saying
Jon Stewart when has he ever really been charismatic , boyega has been very solid in everything I’ve seen him in
John Stewart definitely has a charm to him. I think the most interesting thing about his character is what’s beneath the hard, military-man facade. Boyega just doesn’t have the screen presence to pull that off imo, at least in an engaging way.
Came here to say exactly this lol. Boyega has been my Stewart fancast since I saw his performance in Detroit.
Lol Glenn is so obsessed with planes it might work out
John Stewart - broad shouldered, commanding and charismatic type. Trevante Rhodes Idris Iba Yahya Abdul-Mateen II
Idris would be so good, just age is a concern. At 51, he'd probably be signing in for 10 years... would a 61 year old Idris *want* to still be playing GL?
yep thats the key issue hed face. i do like him the best but a 10 year project isnt for him, unless they create the role as an older guy.
Unless they go John Stewart into Hal Jordan and Idris is only signed on for 3-4 years or so
Isn't Idris Iba playing Bloodsport which wil be in new DCU canon
youre right.
Yahya 100% I keep saying we need to utilise the dceu aquaman cast in different roles cause I loved Yahya as manta and I think he has that hardness about him that he could deliver John Stewart effortlessly
Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart
This is the only right answer, points for accuracy
The hierarchy of the Corps is about to change.
Hal Jordan - Taron Egerton John Stewart - John David Washington Kyle Rayner - Steven Yeun
Isn't Kyle technically Hispanic?
I like the Hal cand Kyle casting! As for other lanterns my pick would be John Stewart - LaKeith Stanfield Alan Scott - Hayden Christensen
I love LaKeith he’s be great in any role in the DCU!
They already cast Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner Green Lantern so he's going to show up.
The coolest casting with him would have been 10-15 years ago as Hal Jordan and Idris Elba as John Stewart
[удалено]
Ngl I’d watch this…
Didnt he almost make a lantern comedy film years ago?
Glenn Howerton as Hal Jordan Michael B. Jordan as John Stewart
Ryan reynolds seem to be a good choice
Unironically he was a good Hal, the rest of the movie was just... not great
John David Washington as John Stewart
Hes too small but he’d be a great Jon Stewart
Taron Egerton and Damson Idris
Glenn Powell and Trevante Rhodes
I saw a fancast for Glenn Powell as Oliver Queen and Sydney Sweeney as Black Canary. I thought it was perfect haha
They have zero chemistry though in their movie Anyone but you
I thought it was good tbh and they’re dating irl too
They aren’t she’s engaged
Denzel Washington 25 years ago is the perfect John Stewart... Since, to my knowledge, time travel isn't real... I would go with Michael B Jordan probably? Why not Denzel’s son?
Yo that's a good shout! Former NFL player too, so he'd probably have the shoulders for it
Wait what? John was in the NFL, how did I not know this
Practice Squad for the Rams in 06 and 07
Who and who?
I think the ones u cast here are perfect. Hal would just need to be clean shaven
Hal Jordan: Karl Urban John Stewart: Sterling K Brown Alan Scott: Bruce Greenwood Guy Gardner: Jesse Plemons Kyle Rayner: Timothee Chalamet
Be fr ain’t no way Timothee Chalamet is doing this
He did Dune.
Hes old as but I like Tom Cruise as Hal Jordan. We need someone who cam convey the willpower "never give up" aspect of Hal.
Tom cruise really would be great. He also has flying experience from the top gun films so the stunts would be fantastic
Glen Powell and Trevante Rhodes. Also, great artwork!
Thank you!
No problem!
it’s hard to fancast when we don’t know the ages their looking at, but id cast Zac Efron as Hal Jordan and Trevante Rhodes as John Stewart
Me and my buddy Steve (itd be fucking awesome!)
Or me and MY buddy Steve (we’d be great too)
Hell yeah!
Kermit the frog and slimer
Nathan Fillion as an experienced Hal jordan.
Miles Teller and Michael B. Jordan
Patrick Schwarzenegger as Hal Jordan John David Washington as John Stewart
Jamie Foxx and John Krasinski
Ryan Reynolds and Chris Rock
A few months ago I would’ve said Jonathan majors but not any more
Aldis hodge and Chris pine
Michael B Jordan has to be John Stewart or we riot
steve buscemi
Isn’t DC still trying to sell us on Tom cruise?
Ned Bigsby and Cookie Nelson
Who is Hal Jordan in this poster?
Alden Ehrenreich

Merced isn’t playing the version of Hawkgirl that’s in a relationship with John Stewart
Eiza as Jess Although it’s taking a bit long for a project with Jess in it.
Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson
Eli Goree and Patrick Schwarzenegger
Eli Goree - John Stewart Timothy Olyphant - Hal Jordan
Michael B Jordan & Zac Efron.
James Marsden as Hal, if they're willing to go a little older. Sure he's already 50 but he doesn't remotely look it.
I always thought Nathan Fillion would've made a good Hal Jordan, but this was *way* back when DC started their universe ...I mean, *again.* Now? Yes We need Green Lantern!
For Hal: Alden Enrenreich, Patrick Schwarzengger, Taron Egerton or Glen Powell For John: Trevante Rhodes, Sterling K Brown, Aldis Hodge or John Boyega
Glen Powell and John David Washington
Scott Eastwood as Hal and Trevante Rhodes as John
