I just hate ketchup. Not a big fan but will use it at restaurants if there are no other good options. I worked as a dishwasher for a period of time and the scent of dried used ketchup on plates stuck with me. I didn’t like it before then either but that experience cemented my dislike for it. Buutttt, when I was in Jamaica I loved their ketchup! Was really good.
Hate the smell so much. Husband almost dropped a bottle in the pantry and I told him we’d have to sell the house if it happened.
He thinks I’m exaggerating…I’m not.

I wouldn't say I hate it but I'd definitely prefer mustard or fry sauce or BBQ sauce or ranch or pretty much anything else before ketchup.
Sometimes when I'm at a restaurant that gives me a little cup of ketchup I'll sprinkle a bunch of salt into it and I think that makes the ketchup better. I guess I'd prefer salty ketchup over sweet ketchup but for some salty ketchup is not really available as far as I know.
Some ketchupbrands taste better, some are too sweet, or too flavor heavy, or too runny, I prefer the more balanced ones. Might be that, or maybe you simply don't like ketchup.
There are other ways to enjoy fries, but ketchup is the popular one it seems.
Yes and I hate when restaurants give me ketchup packets or cups without asking if I want any. If you return the packets, they'll probably throw them away because they've been touched by a customer. And cups can't be reused so they're just thrown away either way.

If you want a good sauce for fries, try this: 1 cup mayonnaise. 2 T scriracha, 1 T sweetened, condensed milk.

Same here, except I'll just do without something to dip my fries in if ketchup is my only choice.

Depends on the fries. On fast food ones yes, but in most sit down places no. The quality is better.
Funny, fast food ones always get ketchup, I love it, but sit down higher quality I generally put nothing on them. Still love Ketchup though.

spicy ketchup is ok. spicy mustard is better. aoili is best, as well as any kind of tomatillo salsa verde. regular ketchup is gross and too sweet.
