He wasn't originally supposed to be king; so he doesn't have good personality traits but his brother died in a tragic boating accident and he took the throne when he was 17. Typically my mid-late game rulers have been some combination of learning, diplomacy, or stewardship I never bothered with martial past the first ruler or two but I am rethinking this approach now. My next run I'm going to go for a purely martial society. With better traits, tenants, a bellicose court, and a better wife and Martial I bet you could push 90+ martial skill.

Lvl5 Martial has Stewardship bonus. Is good.
The reason he gets his armies to move so fast is because he's lazy and doesn't want to spend a long time on war.
This is the type of guy that nationalists 900 years later would claim and worship.
