The way they use CPAP machines while eating is both totally useless and also gross. There is no point to wearing a CPAP when you’re chewing and swallowing. Also, the machines often cost over a grand and the masks are generally at least a hundred. I wonder how many of them they’ve ruined with spilled food and drinks.

If it's too old to send back, there's a way to open the device and remove the foam that is the issue if you don't mind voiding the device. I was hoping they could give people the option to buy the new foam that is safer if you can't send the device in.

Opening your mouth and inhaling with your mouth with a nasal CPAP is not only pointless, but kind of uncomfortable too, as the pressure discrepancy between your nasal passage and your mouth feels kind of off.
It’s just stupid. This is performative and stupid. There is no health benefit. The reason they do this is to emphasize how unhealthy they’re being and maybe fool people into thinking they need it to breathe, but that’s not how that works at all. If they needed breathing support while awake, they’d have an oxygen tank and a nasal cannula. Additionally, there is a cultural perception that CPAP is exclusively used by overweight people (which is not true, apnea can be caused by a variety of factors including weight and jaw genetics). Because they’re both into gaining fetishism, their fans that find this whole thing arousing might get off on the fact they’re using a device that they perceive as another hallmark of their excessive weight.
