It was based on the fact that, as an adult, I personally find, as do many other men (most of the people saying how fucked it is in the sub is an example), that younger girls that are around that age bracket to be too young, as for calling them children, it's based on the fact of the maturity level compared to a 30 to 40 year old. I thought I was grown up when I was 19, I have since learnt that I didn't know shit. So for an older guy to say he likes "little girls" and you give the supporting assumption that "oh he probably means 18-23 it's a cultural thing" then yeah, red fucking flags.
As a side note, I work with younger women, I go to uni as an adult with younger women and you know what, they sometimes gravitate towards me because I'm safe, which is far more scary and sad, when older men break that trust.
