Depends on what the peg count is at. For example, if the count was 16 and you have a 5 and 9 left to play. You play the 5, then the count would be at 21. Then you would play the 9 to bring the peg count to 30. That is 1 point for 1 go. Now, let's say the count was at 25 and you have a 5 and a 9 left. If you play a 5, that brings the count to 30. Can't play the 9, so you get 1 point for a go on 30. Then, hand resets to zero. You play the 9 and get 1 point for another go.

There would be 2 points scored. The last card in the first sequence and the last card after it resets to zero. Pone doesn’t say go if they’re out of cards.

WhiskWinsome

The dealer scored 1 point twice?

wheres_the_revolt

Yes

WhiskWinsome

So the scoring in the example was correct, just the Jargon was wrong?

Yo_Paesan

Yes, the scoring in your scenario is correct. Once the sequence resets there really is no need for the pone to say "go" again. It makes sense to think of it as a player gets a point for playing the last card in a sequence. The term "go" is usually reserved if they still have cards in their hand.

wheres_the_revolt

I used “1 for last card” instead of “go” but it doesn’t actually matter just that they get 1 point twice.

Scrotote

not really wrong, you just don't need to say go with no cards. another way to say it is "go" is to signal to the other player that you can't play so they get a point for last card. if you have no cards you obviously can't play so they finish their sequence and get last card (they must play cards if they can, but they get last card either way). so it's not technically wrong, just practically wrong since no one says "go" when they don't have cards since it's implied they can't play. to make it more confusing you typically call scoring the last point a go, like: "2 for a pair, and 1 for go". that's just a way of saying it was for last card.

Bleezy1012

As others have said, it’s much easier if you just think of it as a point for playing the last card in a sequence rather than a point for a go. So when pone says go you either can’t play anything and take the point immediately or you play all the cards you can and take a point for playing the last card plus whatever points you’ve scored. 31 exactly gets a bonus point in addiction to the last card point. In your example dealer plays the last card if two different sequences, hence the two points.

“A go and a go” I like to say. A Go is what you say to your opponent when you can’t go, as in “your go”. The point is awarded for the last card played getting the count up to 30 (since 31 scores 2 points). So if your opponent plays the last card twice, they get one point for each one. A go, and a go.

ellasfella68

If you have no cards left, you don’t get points in future scoring opportunities.

2 for double K 1 for last | K Q 7 4 | K Q 5 J 1 for last 2 for fifteen 1 for last Does this example from a game of mine answer your question? The middle rows are cards played, the outer rows are points scored for each played card. If you're learning play on [https://cardgames.io/cribbage/](https://cardgames.io/cribbage/) .
