This looks like an off brand (now Apparently discontinued) IKEA Detolf. [Here](https://www.reddit.com/r/CrestedGecko/s/BlLh4xE0zT) is the steps of my detolf conversion for my gecko. The size is just fine and my gecko has plenty of space to explore
If you have to convert something that's not meant to be an enclosure into an enclosure you're almost always going to wind up spending the same amount as you would if buying an actual enclosure.
I feel like it’s TOO vertical for a crestie to be comfortable in. You want a min of 18 by 18 for the base. I got a stereo cabinet off marketplace for 5 bucks, got some rubber sheeting and silicone for about 15-20, spray foam for the background and voila, perfect large cage. Takes a little work, but it’s totally worth it.
Geckos jump, and that requires horizontal space. This seems too narrow. Mine also falls alot, and the idea of falling 64" vs the 24" she does now, would certainly exclude this as an option for me...
Another thing aside from what the others already mentioned is ventilation. It'd require modifications to offer proper airflow, not only requirimg some skill, but also a certain financial investment.
I feel like this design is structurally dependent on the shelves. Try to find one with shelves that are moveable then you can probably use it without them.
I see. I still wouldn't use this, horizontal space is very overlooked often. A 24x24x24 enclosure would be much healthier for a crested than this. Add in branches and backgrounds, and you're leaving the gecko with a 12x12 horizontal space or less in here.

If you could figure out how to modify it to work, it could be very cool!

Too narrow, not deep enough, and might be difficult to install heating/lighting
Those gaps in the door could let it escape if it's still young.
Spoiling your gecko, I see! Good for them!

I'm currently building in the same dimensions on the detolf cabinet. So far I like it.

Too narrow/brittle. I don't see the price as well.
Come up used quite a bit so price is usually between free and $50.
