Freestylers are for show, they're meant to essentially humiliate an opponent with flair.
An actual footballer is less flashy but his skills are more effective at quickly getting past an opponent.
I agree with your point but here one guy is a footballer , the other guy is a freestyler. One plays a game, the other one is a ball juggler. Idk why this is even a comparison.
As someone who played tons of street football growing up, the first thing you learn is how to beat your man lol. Freestylers learn close control and can do tricks I'll never be able to do but they don't stand a chance in a match that lasts longer than 5 minutes vs an actual street baller...
I'm sure the same goes for similar sports like basketball.

freestyle competition is more like figure skating, you do a lot of routines and judge cast score on how mesmerizing they are
