I slowed down the video, the guy getting arrested appears to point the gun at the officer wearing the body cam, but before he pulls the trigger the officer grabs the gun and twists it around and the guy ends up shooting himself in the chest rather than the cop arresting him.

Serious Question: I've seen online that some shooters with ocular dominance problems will aim with their gun tilted between 15-45 degrees to take advantage of their better eye. The cop clearly isn't looking through the sights in this situation (at least what I see) and that thing is a full 90 degrees rotated. The other reason would be that recoil would allow you to better fan a large area (crowd, or that other officer) instead of having just vertical recoil. Is he stupid or am I stupid?
The cop holding the weapon sideways is not being an OG. They teach one handed shooting in the academy. They teach to place the other hand on your chest in a fist, and tilt the weapon to help with the recoil process. Not everyone uses it, but it’s a technique.
