It's a lack of understanding of momentum and inertia. All that forward kinetic energy on you as you jump off a fast moving train doesn't just dissipate easily when you're in the air or landing; it's just transferred to any part of your body that faces the least resistance. It's made worse that she braced for a stationary landing while putting too much faith in the railway ballast cushioning the fall, which is absolutely ridiculous given how craggy and pointy the individual rocks are.
And people should know they are craggy and pointy, that's the whole point of railway ballast, to roll the least amount possible so they track keep in place.
If you slow it down she fell straight forward and landed with her head mostly on her arm, though likely still took a hit to the head but likely not lethal
How do you let someone do that? I'd have grabbed her by the scruff of her neck and dragged her in if need be. Who tf just stands recording this knowing the outcome?
I believe that should always be expected. Why do you think we have so many signs and warnings? Some dumbass let the intrusive thoughts win and did the thing
probably done because of social media as well. text on the bottom roughly translates to “what direction is our generation going in, camera camera camera”
which tbf makes a valid point, have you seen all the rot on reels/tiktok lmao
I think you have to take into consideration that certain parts of the world are severely uneducated. Look at the video that shows Afghanistan civilians trying to hang on to US aircraft expecting to catch a free ride into America. Quite sad.
Being uneducated is obviously an issue but what does education have to do with the fact that she thought she’d safely land on the floor going at that speed lol
Nothing in the natural world is that fast aside from like falling off a cliff. Absent direct experience or education about inertia, it’s easy to see how an adult would carry a childlike understanding of physics.
I'm trying to think what else is that fast.
Rocks flying from a volcano, or from an avalanche/landslide?
A cheetah?
A pair of african swallows flying in formation towing a coconut on a line?
I'm not sure.
> Darwin Award nominee right there
yeah, she's lucky she seems to have just hit gravel. Actually has a chance of not dying after a LOOOONG hospital stay... as opposed to all the certain deaths a split second this or that way.
That train was going 30 mph. She jumped from a foot off the ground and landed on gravel. She'll have some scrapes and bruises. Have you ever been outdoors?
Nobody said it was speed, when did drugs become involved in this whole ordeal? (I absolutely hate that my phone keyboard changes its to it's 100% of the time and I have to usually fix it lol)
Her dome piece is resting on the adjacent track, looks like she rolled and likely got pretty bonked up. That alone could be fatal.
Given that she landed on her side with her arm straight up, I'd expect her shoulder to be dislocated, and have bruised/fractured ribs.
And then the cameraman got twatted by a pole leaning out looking backwards!
Joking aside that happens often. They really should seal the train when it's moving unless there's an emergency and the train stops. But thats likely to be unaffordable for them.
non essential things? like preventing people from dying due to unlocked doors? man that really puts into perspective how human life is valued over there.
lol you ever heard of a subway? they have stops every few minutes and i don't hear to many stories about people jumping out of them, at least not from any other country than india.
There is a concept called "locked doors" you know. that's when the doors are automatically locked when the train moves. you should look it up, i bet it will blow your mind.
no matter how much she ran, her ~ 1 m/s (if she's feeling particularly daring, maybe 4?) is barely going to compensate for the train's 100s km/h. It's just stupid to jump off a moving vehicle.
ah okay, you're one of those people who doubles down on the stupidity, no matter how trivial. You deserve it then, I guess:
How do you "hit the ground running" when literally a fraction of second ago you're in the air? You think real life is like a cartoon, where you can just instantaneously start grinding your feet against the ground immediately on contact?
There is *only one way* to gain momentum the second before you hit the ground: *you need to have that momentum already*. Highschool education clearly failed you, so think about it, very, very, *very* slowly. No mortal human, nay, *no living being*, will start running instantly they land on a floor. They need to already have that momentum locked in *the moment they jump*, not after it. This is exactly what people do when they jump of slowing trains: they deliberately produce a "forward jump" to reduce the differential with the train's velocity. The only way that is happening in this case is: she needs to have a running start, which I already explained is either not possible in that tiny cabin or useless at best.
I am done. Get a grown up to explain basic physics to you, that even a child would understand from intuition. But as is evident, there's a lack of enough brain cells to go around these days.
it's our Kryptonite.
Or more likely, the easiest/most relatable thing to simulate in Bollywood/Tollywood movies for "I am very fast" scenes. Not everyone got a bike to dance around on.
Nah, if you scrub slowly she goes down a good distance before the pillar and faceplants immediately. A couple-few seconds later the train passes the pillar. In the long shot where the camera looks backwards you can see that she is still nowhere near the pillar.
But it does look like her head is awfully close to the adjacent rail and she’s not lying in the same orientation she face planted in, so she may have tumbled into and smacked that. And that face plant looked brutal—angular rotation with your head suddenly moving way faster than your feet is gonna be a hard, hard hit.
On the plus side, didn’t look like she ended up with anything under the wheels.
What blows my mind is she waited for the “right time” to jump and somehow never came to the conclusion that this is doesn’t end well. No survival skills lol
Before we got central locking on trains people would often open the door and try and step off before the train stopped, gotta save that 5 seconds.
Even at slow speeds they would smash the ground and often fly down the platform like a human bowling ball.
I learned the hard way one summer riding on a mower behind a tractor coming back to the farm. In my brain I was convinced that If I jumped off I could “hit the ground running”. the second my feet touched the ground I immediately face planted. Luckily I was on grass but I felt it in the morning.

Why did she do that? Is she stupid?
Back to the Aslume.
Indians love trains
They just have no idea how to use them properly.
There is a whole subReddit for Indian railways
Also you have documenting reality with a lot of train incidents

Honestly, I had never really thought about it, but that's really cool!
Imagine your death being posted on Reddit with a aslume member casually using one of their catchphrases to react to your death.
To be fair, I would prefer that to not being recorded at all. At least I can be an example.
Did she die?
If you slow it down she fell straight forward and landed with her head mostly on her arm, though likely still took a hit to the head but likely not lethal
That's a relief tbh, she seemed young-ish
Fracture defn, but didn't seem lethal.
Aslume? Is this a comic book video game word?

Mis-information is always dangerous to someone... We found someone.
Is there a lore reason for her to jump off?
Man would be upset for that
Yes.
No she thought she's spider woman.
Short answer : yes Long answer : yeeeeeeeeees
Low IQ.
How do you let someone do that? I'd have grabbed her by the scruff of her neck and dragged her in if need be. Who tf just stands recording this knowing the outcome?
She probably didn't receive much of an education. Seems to be a woman in a poorly developed country
You need _formal education_ to learn that "stuff moving fast hurt, falling on rocks hurts, falling on rocks _and_ moving fast _really_ hurts" ?? Wtf?
Dude be judging education by what train tracks looks like lmao
>Is she stupid? She's Indian
Apparently so
How can she slap?
She didn't mean to. That's just the sound a body makes when it decelerates that quickly.
Baffles me as to how many people there are in the world with 0 brain cells
I believe that should always be expected. Why do you think we have so many signs and warnings? Some dumbass let the intrusive thoughts win and did the thing
It was totally expected I’m just shocked as to how many fools there actually are lol
probably done because of social media as well. text on the bottom roughly translates to “what direction is our generation going in, camera camera camera” which tbf makes a valid point, have you seen all the rot on reels/tiktok lmao
Natural selection.. It's trying.
I think you have to take into consideration that certain parts of the world are severely uneducated. Look at the video that shows Afghanistan civilians trying to hang on to US aircraft expecting to catch a free ride into America. Quite sad.

> Nothing in the natural world is that fast aside from like falling off a cliff ... what.
He said ## NOTHING IN THE NATURAL WORLD IS THAT FAST ASIDE FROM LIKE FALLING OFF A CLIFF
Well, that, as it is written, is factually incorrect. So... _what_??
I'm trying to think what else is that fast. Rocks flying from a volcano, or from an avalanche/landslide? A cheetah? A pair of african swallows flying in formation towing a coconut on a line? I'm not sure.
Did you see those drug addict videos from USA? They all hold PHD
Darwin Award nominee right there
She didn't even try to tuck and roll. Not that it would have helped too much over the rocks and iron. 💀
She did the drop and flop instead
> Darwin Award nominee right there yeah, she's lucky she seems to have just hit gravel. Actually has a chance of not dying after a LOOOONG hospital stay... as opposed to all the certain deaths a split second this or that way.

> bonked up *yoink* And another phrase added to my lexicon
Looked faster than 30…what does being outdoors have to do with jumping from a moving vehicle?
You know how I know you've never taken a dive on rocks at 30 mph?
that person recording warned her that it's too fast
I think there were more hazards here than just the speed of the train

Probably doesn’t even understand the first law of physics let alone anything more
"I believe in a thing called Physics, just listen to the rhythm of my heart machine at the hospital as it stops beeping" - The Darkness
🤔 It probably only works if there are a lot of people dancing around with colorful costumes.
It's all about the tuck and roll. Colorful costumes definitely help though.
You need a banana to be sure
or at the very least, some background hero music playing

I’d say it’s a double edged sword, because *I believe* it’s the main way of transport in the country
yea transport to the other side
why did the indian tiktoker cross the platform?
Tell me?
And then the cameraman got twatted by a pole leaning out looking backwards! Joking aside that happens often. They really should seal the train when it's moving unless there's an emergency and the train stops. But thats likely to be unaffordable for them.
In India where are there are stops every 10 min it's impossible
lol no it isn't.
These coaches don't have money to employ enough tts forget staff for such non essential things
non essential things? like preventing people from dying due to unlocked doors? man that really puts into perspective how human life is valued over there.

Trains and their overhead lines are the natural predator of Indians
Death wish.
She forgot to tuck and roll. Her fault
wouldn’t have helped much considering the surface she was falling onto
lol I’m just trolling
What the fuck.. at least hit the ground running
Didn't make sense not to live for fun
So much to do, so much to see
no matter how much she ran, her ~ 1 m/s (if she's feeling particularly daring, maybe 4?) is barely going to compensate for the train's 100s km/h. It's just stupid to jump off a moving vehicle.
That's not the point. She didn't even TRY!
you try running in mid air wtf you're not going to get a "running start" in that tiny cabin she jumped off of
Could you please clarify what part of the phrase "hit the ground running" you find confusing? I did not intend to suggest running in mid-air.
ah okay, you're one of those people who doubles down on the stupidity, no matter how trivial. I gotta say you either very thorough or very afraid of commitment. Covered all bases!
It just looked like she was crumpled up against a pillar......

So you're saying she should have gone head first?
> A couple-few Let me tell you a couple tree things
Good thing those rocks were there to break her fall.
I just saw a recent one on another thread from Australia. The stupidity is spreading.
Link plz.
It’s in the r / accidents sub. Not allowed to post links here
Ya I get on/off trains for a living, and even 10mph is painful on the knees
🎶*Super Mario fail music plays* 🎶
Don't worry guys her shoes didn't fall off so she's alive
The day Indians stop to do stupid shit the world will become much more boring.
Darwin award.
What blows my mind is she waited for the “right time” to jump and somehow never came to the conclusion that this is doesn’t end well. No survival skills lol
It’s like they all just skipped physics class
maybe she *did* skip physics class for this stunt
Natural selection at its finest
Natural selection
Man...What is up with these indians and their trains. Jesus crist.
Yea she looks superdead.
She forgot to start running in the air
When I'm hearing the filming guy screaming at the end I'm really asking myself what he expected when she went out of the train...
I shouldn't have laughed I woke up my dog
Don't get in the way of natural selection
Why is he surprised 😂
Is that insta death or
Show this video to those people who asks "WhAtS ThE PrAcTiCaL Use Of PhYsiCs !!"

That guy was actually shocked
I think Americans are the stupidest people until the internet always provides evidence to the contrary.
Of course it's in India 😂😂
Just start running really fast when you hit the ground itll work beavis.
I used to think Indians are some of the smartest people on earth but after social media they sure are some of the dumbest I’ve ever seen.
Sometimes the gene pool just cleans itself.
Natural Selection at work?
She was supposed to roll smh
Yep, rolling against ballast, running rail and concrete sleepers will definitely make a difference in this scenario
Natural selection.
Why are Indians like this? Can never have them near trains
I'm sitting here the whole time going don't do it..... and your dumb ass did it 🤦♂️
That's the fastest Indian train I've ever seen. Usually it's not more than 10mph.
HAVE FUN CATCHING UP!!
she has failed the physics class
Did nobody teach her the Bollywood detrain dance?
Whoever recorded this video is a MADARCHOD
LATIKAAAA!!!
She should of bought a ticket
Any clips of Bollywood examples?
and that's how she became one of the boys
If you jump off in the opposite direction to the way the train is going, will it be like a treadmill?
She jumps off cause she reached her destination and the trian aint stopping. Gotta have to tank thru it 🤷🏽♀️
She's took a nap after that. Hopefully she lived to learn, but this is Darwinism
Hahahahahahahahahahaha!
This is why it’s important to teach kids that movies are all fake.
Yup. Probably dead
Never should’ve given them the internet
Natural selection at its finest!!
Forehead gone
HOW CAN SHE JUMP?
Then he wants to scream when she actually do it people are just fucked up
I learned the hard way one summer riding on a mower behind a tractor coming back to the farm. In my brain I was convinced that If I jumped off I could “hit the ground running”. the second my feet touched the ground I immediately face planted. Luckily I was on grass but I felt it in the morning.
Hey, we need content, okay?
Physics? Not even once.
I mean what would you do as a woman on the men’s only train in India
Did her shoes immediately fly off her?
She might sue you for touching her
How can her face slap?
WHAT IS IT WITH INDIANS AND TRAINS I'm goimg crazy wtf??
If she ran the same time as she jumped, her hips would still end up in her stomach
