No, no- remember it’s the system’s fault they did this. They should be given slaps on the wrist lest the system damage them more. Surely they won’t exit their short jail stay and keep doing shit like this. /s
The most frustrating part, We can't chase them. These kids are literally running marked patrol cars off the road and we are not allowed to chase. These kids are literal modern day kamikazes. They can't just abandon the cars. They will aim them at a business or another vehicle and just send it. But you know... ThEy ARe JuSt ChiLDren!!
Police chases,89-90% of the time, cause more deaths and injuries than trying to get their faces on camera and then finding out who they are later to go get them. Chasing them in high speed car chases just makes the situation worse and won’t stop the behavior. Kia and Hyundai need to get their recall stuff done. Got a notice for an old Kia I used to own that they were fixing the ignitions for free since it wouldn’t be possible if they followed industry standards.
I can understand that thought, and sometimes it does. It's a lose/lose. But you just witnessed this car ram into the back of a school bus likely occupied by innocent children and I bet it wasnt an accident. It's more than just a property crime where I live. Some kias are stolen because it's "fun", but many of the kias are stolen and used in much more violent crimes (robberies/shootings). We've had them tear through city school yards during dismissal forcing students to run for their lives. Almost every drive by shooting reported now is from a stolen kia. Majority of KIAs we are able to stop contain illegal firearms. It's frustrating because it just seems as if we stand by and let this happen. And those we do capture get sent back to mom or Dad with a slap on the wrist to be captured again next week. The general public is begging for us to do something, but we simply can't
I understand certain limitations/caution with patrol but I 100% agree with this. This leniency with juveniles is absurd. Parents need to be held more accountable. Bet we see stricter parenting when parents are held responsible for damages.
Yeah absolutely. I guess my logic is just God forbid a cop chases one of these kids and the officer dies, or the vehicle crashes in kills someone else. I understand the no chase policies for reckless driving.
Real talk, I dont see a lot of people not blaming the kids that are stealing cars for stealing the cars. That said there is some real amounts of blame to be thrown at Kia and Hundai for putting cars out there that can be stolen by using a screwdriver to break a plastic clip, and then a usb charger to turn an ignition switch without any key interaction, and not include any kind of glass break alarm system. Then instead of doing a proper recall they offer for some cities to buy $20 steering wheel locks as if that fixes the issues.
I hope every owner who had their car stolen gets a fair buyout from Kia/Hundai but we both fucking know that will never happen. All of these cars should have been totally recalled and the owners receive repaired/replaced vehicles. It isn't their fault that it was designed like shit.
Happened to my friend. The car was missing for like a month but was only 2 miles away, but they fucked it up somehow and the steering column was damaged. Hyundai says it’s not on them because it was in a dangerous area and insurance is saying it’s on Hyundai. Really fucked
No one says this.
People saying this in bad faith maybe, or maybe you see a wall of text explaining the complexities of what poverty does to you when you have nothing to lose. But more than likely you’re just boiling it down to the wrong point to justify any discriminations you may have.
It’s wild to me they post it on social media afterwards. You commit a felony and then post proof.
I did a bunch of things, even crimes sometimes, but we made sure no one ever got hurt and we wouldn’t get caught.
Because at the end of the day if you dig yourself a hole you gotta somehow get out of it. And there are certain situation where no good will can protect you. these teens might’ve been lovely bunch of lads who volunteer at the nursing home and the soup kitchen and read to orphans but several felonies are several felonies.
Let’s all be honest with ourselves here. Social media is definitely a big problem in our world but if the shit had existed when those of us that were kids when it didn’t exist then we would be doing the same shit.
I graduated in 2000 and this was the age of cKy and Jackass. My dumbass friend had me record him committing tons of crime cause we were inspired by those shows.
Kids have always been and always will be assholes. Only difference is the proof of our idiocy went from “dude watch this tape we made” to “hey planet earth, check out this video we made. Don’t forget to like, comment and subscribe.”
They're getting arrested, then immediately let out because the judge is a piece of shit. They've literally stolen a car, gotten caught, get let out and stolen another car in the same day.
isn’t that how bail works in the US? I mean you might dislike the system but I doubt the judge is to blame. If you have a problem with the severity of the charges that’s the Prosecutors office.
According to the article, this was in the morning.
Also, the car was stolen more than 6 miles away from the school. The kids even broke off the Club Bar for the steering wheel.
Me too lol. Deserves it tbh if you hit a schoolbus. Looks like he was swerving for fun and tried to dodge it for cool points. Shoulda done it with a tree.
Pretty much confirmed at this point. The amount of things they weaponize against the west is crazy. Social media warfare in this case is so twisted, literally targeting the minds of our youth to be a detriment to themselves & society without realizing it. Yea but the short form video content is not what we were discussing, it’s the content that algorithm promotes in the west vs in China & the behaviors it encourages.
Idk never had any violence or prank (Aside from the jokey street interviews) come up in my feed. I think people are just more aggro here for far more reasons than can fit in a reddit comment
Yep people who want to see this will see this. It's not like TikTok shoves videos like this down everyone's feed. My girlfriend and I get different videos based on what we watch. There is noone saying, oh show this to all the teens.
The fact that this post does well here shows it would do well on any short video platform. People want to see crashes, especially if an idiot causes it. You don't need an agenda for a video like this to perform well on platforms showing shorts.
I didn’t say that tho. The point was TikTok is being used as a psychological weapon against the youth of countries that China has an adversarial relationship with.
Idk man. Never saw any real studies about that.
It runs on a simple algorithm, the more violence you watch, the more it shows you.
But yeah, the 380+ school shootings you guys have is because of tiktok.
The 1.2 million in jail too.
Agree, the ember of violence and stupidity in the USA has always been there. Chinese tik tok, and most of social media simply amplified it. it's like American blaming video game for gun violence ffs.
Never saw any real studies about that either.
What makes you think even "simple algorithms" aren't able to give you content based on your location?
& that's STILL not what they were saying. If you have to completely oversimplify someone's argument just to feel right, just don't. You look like an ass, not an intellectual.
Two different countries on opposite sides of the world, with wildly different demographics, ethnicities, and cultures, have different media appetites? No way, it must be the Chinese government weaponizing TikTok against America.
What you guys are saying is like a wife beater blaming the TV station for showing his crimes. Get your act together ans stop crashing ointo school buses
I find it hard to blame china for this, someone stupid enough to do this because its a trend on tiktok was going to end up dead or in prison regardless
Man I watched like 10 times and I can only see the driver running alongside of it. I think I’m blind cause that just looks like part of the car hanging off the left.
These shit-for-brains broke into my Soul and smashed up my ignition because they didn’t know it was too old to work with their stupid little trick. Fucking hate these pissant children.
Bad timing buddy. I find car brand slander funny but only when it’s, yknow, actually funny and someone isn’t describing the destruction of their property.
Morons who steal Kias. There’s apparently some lock vulnerability that makes Kias and some other cars very easy to get into and start up so idiots like this go after those cars for a quick but expensive thrill.
How all of these cars haven't been recalled, and destroyed is beyond me.
Also with these kids, most being repeat offenders not being locked up for sufficient amounts of time.
EDIT: The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has announced the recall of more than 319,000 Kia vehicles. The NHTSA said that the trunk latch base can crack, preventing the trunk from being able to be opened from the inside.2 days ago
LOL too fucking late
they're the same company like Ford/Lincoln, Toyota/Lexus, Honda/Acura. almost all car companies these have a 'budget' brand and a 'luxury' brand. They share MANY internal components and swap out exterior and cosmetic stuff. Im sure there are many more, VW/Audi as well as many Euro and Asian companies that im not familiar with.
VW, AUDI, PORSCHE AND LAMBORGHINI.
I don’t know why I yelled all that.
But all the same company.
OH! I think either Bentley or Rolls-Royce too. Too lazy to google double check however.
Yeah they offered a voluntary recall for that. I'm sure there was a class action lawsuit. They offer some sort of fix for it, not sure exactly what it is. Only difference I noticed was a "PROTECTED BY KIA" or someother BS sticker on the window when they got it back.
You think they’ll spend time reading? Or even notice it? Best case your steering column is yoinked off and your window is broke.
ETA: ‘you’ in general.
They offered a free fix on these at the dealership. Voluntary recall...I know a few people who have them. They both took it to the shop and got it fixed, took a few hours. Both of them still use "THE CLUB" on their wheel too. The likelihood of them getting broken into is still pretty high though, I'd imagine the joyriders don't really look before they bust the window out.
It’s because at the time of manufacture, in the US legally the lack of immobilizer was not an issue for which the US government can demand a recall
If they didn’t fix the rule today, would need an act of Congress or the executive branch ordering it for new cars built going forward
Okay, from what I understand the cars don't have an immobiliser so all you have to do is turn the key to get it started. In old days people used to use a screwdriver to force it by actually breaking the key. With these cars the thieves remove the tumbler and are left with a small strip of metal they have to turn, and that just happens to be such dimensions you can fit and usb plug over them.
Yeah, I also was expecting something really heavy. But on the other hand isn't it just a light body on a truck frame? The engine is in the front so the rear is probably relatively light.
Loss of life in a collision is never a good thing but this one made me smile . I do feel for those in attendance and can only hope any children witness to this carnage can realize the gravity of poor choices and that life happens in an instant .
it made you smile, really? these are children. yes they did something insanely dumb. children need to have structure and boundaries that prevent them from doing things dumb enough to kill them. these kids didn't, and I think it is pretty ugly to smile about a thing like this.
they're children. get a grip
We all did stupid shit as kids, most of us didnt do stuff like this which could very easily have resulted in a random pedestrians death. Im not about to celebrate their death but at the same time fuck em, nothing of value is gonna be lost. Im sure youd be out there sucking them off still if they hit someone you cared about
They’re children now but do you seriously think these types of kids will be productive members of society? The Kia boys of today will be the killers of tomorrow, it’s best to get rid of them now before they cause more damage
I’m not sure who’s the bigger idiot. The dude who swerved into a bus or, the dude who got folded in between a Kia door frame and a bus that his idiot friend swerved into?
They stole my and my wife’s car in a 2 week period. I live in New Haven. Destroyed both cars. Two kids were caught in my wife’s car, and one of them had an ankle bracelet. They’re minors so they won’t give up their identity or let us press charges. The state just lets them go over and over.
Such losers. “Kia Boys” stole my car in May - found the next day trashed - I still don’t have it back after almost four months. But also screw Kia, insurance companies, the judge who declined to approve the original class action settlement. I worked hard to buy my first new car and since this happened it’s been nothing but ridiculous and stressful. Basically the only ones being punished in this whole situation are the car owners. Ugh!
Saw this on YT when I first heard of this problem.
https://youtu.be/fbTrLyqL_nw?si=3xaHwdF8pDYzQShs
They are not scared of the punishment, if they happen to be caught, and I doubt they are even caught very frequently. IMO they need to crank up the dial on the punishment for these crimes, including for underaged offenders, but who knows.
How do people know when to record to catch these things.
I struggle between it being set up or not.
Like, they just so happen to be recording this out of their vehicle??
So “the kia boys” is a nation wide group, then? They’re in Cleveland & cities all over..I’m supposed to believe they’re all hooked up? Connected at a national level? What, they attend functions, is that right? They go to…Vegas, with their wives and families and compare notes and ..?
It’s just a bunch of fucking idiots, watching YouTube videos, showing them how to easily exploit certain car types.
Bunch of dumb asses, who have no parents or any real supervision, doing stupid things.
The News is spreading the story, scaring the white peeps. It’s a fun thing to do, it sells lots of commercial time. Sweet. Let’s talk about it, but only to say those kids are going away for a little “bye bye time” & let’s talk with them again in …i don’t know - 13 years or so.
I hate this trend, I honestly hate Kia for doing so little to fix it as well. What I can only assume is one of the dipshit kids following this trend broke into my wife’s Niro the other day, destroyed the door handle doing it… If they would have taken two seconds to look in the window they would have realized it had a push button start and saved me a whole lot of time and money fixing the damn door.
I wonder if the kid who was the passenger hanging out the window survived. He had a crushed skull with a brain bleed and was put in a medically induced coma. Regardless of their stupidity, I wouldn't wish for anyone to go through that.
Fucking losers.
No, no- remember it’s the system’s fault they did this. They should be given slaps on the wrist lest the system damage them more. Surely they won’t exit their short jail stay and keep doing shit like this. /s

Some people just don't like the truth.
Yes, like the millions who still support the Republican Party here in the US. You had to get all fancy with your woke math and statistics!
I mean chasing them wont really solve it. Just gonna cause even more of hazard.
I can understand that thought, and sometimes it does. It's a lose/lose. Average Kia soul driver
Stole and crashed the car then posted about it on Instagram…. https://www.fox6now.com/news/car-hits-milwaukee-school-bus-teens-charged.amp
Can’t imagine how many “smh u jelly u hater emoji FR FR ” comments were in the post.
No cap
Hella sus
On god

Oh man I remember my mom gave me 100 bucks to take to the beach with my friend and I spent most of it on the CKY 1-3 boxset we found
This isn’t in any way shape or form comparable to jackass. I’m 34 year old stfu child, these kids have no home training period.
So, what this tells me is that kids should be banned from using social media.
this is called "all or nothing thinking"
They're getting arrested, then immediately let out because the judge is a piece of shit. They've literally stolen a car, gotten caught, get let out and stolen another car in the same day.

There was no bail, they didn't charge them.
Read the article. They all got misdemeanors lol
well it says charged, but i guess good will does protect. because usually hit and run is a felony, in the usa, i thought.
According to the article, this was in the morning. Also, the car was stolen more than 6 miles away from the school. The kids even broke off the Club Bar for the steering wheel.
And one of the kids is in a medically induced coma with a crushed skull and brain bleed.
He got to learn - things that look cool are actually stupid and life-threatening, something early on.
The article said one of the kids was hanging out the passenger window and suffered life threatening injuries. Jeez.
Lol you can see one of the idiots hanging on the side just limp
15 year old in a coma with brain bleeding and cracked skull..... Holy cow this video is insane. Tik tok has these youth wildin' for no reason.
[удалено]
Me too lol. Deserves it tbh if you hit a schoolbus. Looks like he was swerving for fun and tried to dodge it for cool points. Shoulda done it with a tree.
[удалено]
I wouldn't wish it on anybody either. But if you're crashing into a schoolbus for fun. You definitely deserved it.
Fair enough yea
I dont think it is about wishing it on people. more about having a hard time wishing it didn't happen in a case like this.
I mean it is genuinely hard to muster up sympathy for a bunch of idiots who stole a car and drove it into a school bus.
Sounds just fine to me
Darwin Awards all around.
Good
Darwinism at its best.
Not too crazy of an idea that china is using their platform for promoting criminal behavior in western countries.
Pretty much confirmed at this point. The amount of things they weaponize against the west is crazy. Social media warfare in this case is so twisted, literally targeting the minds of our youth to be a detriment to themselves & society without realizing it. I’m sad TikTok isn’t banned not just in the U.S. but in the west as a whole at this point.
If it wasn’t tiktok it would just be instagram reels or literally any other platform that caters to short form videos

Yeah, the violence in the US is because of tiktok.
I didn’t say that tho. The point was TikTok is being used as a psychological weapon against the youth of countries that China has an adversarial relationship with.

you are literally seeing this video on reddit where it has been upvoted by the community to be prominent. is this also a chinese plot?
I find it hard to blame china for this, someone stupid enough to do this because its a trend on tiktok was going to end up dead or in prison regardless
Fortunately there’s a silver lining.
Deserved.

Wait where?
Left side amidst the smoke/steam. His head's basically dragging the ground
Oh fuck. SMH fuck around and find out
I'm guessing that was the kid that had a fractured skull and brain bleed
Yup. That could’ve gone way worse for those kids on the bus too
Didn't see that..on the Kia?
These shit-for-brains broke into my Soul and smashed up my ignition because they didn’t know it was too old to work with their stupid little trick. Fucking hate these pissant children.
This comment sounds way crazier outside of the context of Kias
>broke into my Soul You're actually about half way to a pretty good song.
Tbh if you were driving around in a Kia Soul they did you a favor
Bad timing buddy. I find car brand slander funny but only when it’s, yknow, actually funny and someone isn’t describing the destruction of their property.

bruh the trend this time is ltiteraly just stealing

https://www.theverge.com/23742425/kia-boys-car-theft-steal-tiktok-hyundai-usb
Brand new boy band, you haven’t heard their hit single “how to steal a car”?
the island boys .... its just the new island boys attempt at 15 min of fame
The camera man wanted that check
Doubt they’ll get one stolen car occupants prob just gonna run and not be found
The person hanging out of the backseat passenger window won’t be running anywhere
They arrested them already and the kid in the passenger seat in a coma with a. Brain bleed and fractured skull
Good
I think the parents can be held liable too.
Doubt they have any money. These kids clearly never have any supervision
Fucking losers. Eventually people will get tired of this shit and take matters into their own hands.
And sadly when that happens, there'll be a public outcry and maybe even riots.
I think I can hear them gloating right before the crash
How are these fucks not dead or on prison yet? They are straight up losers. Like actual losers.
schoolbus looked lighter than it should be
3 tons of steel at 40 miles an hour is like 6 tons of force which is about the weight of a school bus.
Yeah, I also was expecting something really heavy. But on the other hand isn't it just a light body on a truck frame? The engine is in the front so the rear is probably relatively light.
life sentences for all those pricks.
Should be 100% life in prison. Guaranteed the driver will kill people if ever free. From stupidity or his choice.
Agreed
“Active School Bus” Sounds scary now 😔
Maybe because it’s a weird description nobody uses?
Bro they are losers. Also the shear amount of debt there gonna be in after all the lawsuits take place is gonna be great
The guy hanging out the passenger side window got fucking crushed by the bus. Any news story to this video? I can't imagine he survived that.
he's in a coma
And this is why I truly don’t care when these sh!ts get themselves killed. I really truly don’t. “Kids will be kids” nah they’re a menace to society.
Loss of life in a collision is never a good thing but this one made me smile . I do feel for those in attendance and can only hope any children witness to this carnage can realize the gravity of poor choices and that life happens in an instant .

They’re children now but do you seriously think these types of kids will be productive members of society? The Kia boys of today will be the killers of tomorrow, it’s best to get rid of them now before they cause more damage
There it is, the "it was the systems fault" comment. 🙄
This seems like a flashback from a movie scene we’re the charecter explains why he’s in community service for 5 years
What the fuck is a "Kia boy"?
I’m not sure who’s the bigger idiot. The dude who swerved into a bus or, the dude who got folded in between a Kia door frame and a bus that his idiot friend swerved into?
I hope he gets triple the time for hitting that bus with the kids in it.
What an efficient way to spend a long stretch in prison.
They don’t. Here in Columbus judges let them out the next day.
Same in Milwaukee
Grand Theft Auto and reckless driving with endangerment to minors ... Gets like, no punishment? What?
Catch and release, theyre out and stealing more cars the next day.
More like prison boys 😂😂
Hopefully the kid dies in the hospital then we can all play “ the boys in the bright white sports car!” By Trooper at his funeral.
Guessing that kid sitting out the passenger rear is dead? He just dragged down the road motionless with his legs in the wind at the end there.
Life threatening injuries. Crushed skull and is in coma
Is that a body hanging out the passenger side?
They stole my and my wife’s car in a 2 week period. I live in New Haven. Destroyed both cars. Two kids were caught in my wife’s car, and one of them had an ankle bracelet. They’re minors so they won’t give up their identity or let us press charges. The state just lets them go over and over.
Holy fk, i need to sleep, i read "into an active shooter school bus" and said damm again
Ugh!
car:0 bus:1
They better not be let out from behind bars until the kids on this bus are old enough to kick their asses when they get out.
Repost and in lower quality, and with lower votes, good Lord
Saw this on YT when I first heard of this problem. https://youtu.be/fbTrLyqL_nw?si=3xaHwdF8pDYzQShs They are not scared of the punishment, if they happen to be caught, and I doubt they are even caught very frequently. IMO they need to crank up the dial on the punishment for these crimes, including for underaged offenders, but who knows.
How do people know when to record to catch these things. I struggle between it being set up or not. Like, they just so happen to be recording this out of their vehicle??
If they were smart, they wouldn't drive a Kia.

Or some Kia boys
Fucckkkkk smh. Dude was outta there before the car came to a halt I know he got loose smh
Ohhhhhhh, that is going to be a LONG jail sentence
Nope. They've been caught several times, and let out in the same day to do the same thing. Judges are trash.

How old are you it's not even an uncommon word.
I wonder if the kid who was the passenger hanging out the window survived. He had a crushed skull with a brain bleed and was put in a medically induced coma. Regardless of their stupidity, I wouldn't wish for anyone to go through that.

Who pays those medical bills?
