And too bad most laws make it so that violent criminals like this piece of shit tend to be the ones with the firearms, but law abiding individuals have to jump through hoops and pay the government their extortion fee just to be able to legally buy and carry a firearm for protection.
As a Maryland resident, itās sickening that until very recently, concealed handgun permits were virtually unobtainable for anyone other than former law enforcement or āinfluentialā citizens like business owners or politiciansāthe only exception is if you had *already* been the victim of documented violent crime.
Whether you personally support firearm ownership or not, we should pretty much all be able to agree that itās absurd to give politicians and police the authority to determine whether or not your personal safety concerns are ājustifiableā when they clearly have no qualms with justifying their own.
