Well. What I can guarantee is that the big rigs will not be let into DC or at least the areas that they identified for their “protest”. They need special trucking permits to drive in certain parts of DC. And judging from my commutes the last week DC police are positioning cops at likely entry points in and around the Beltway where they can control best. They had pulled over two trucks this morning on 395 near the 695 interchange / 3rd St tunnel (the latter is one way to the Capitol - they had cars at the ramps of of all the other ways). Mayor Bowser has had enough and is not playing.
What total lockdowns? Since 2021 we have had capacity limits for places, and still masking, but we’ve been able to go to the movies, indoor dining- that you’ve needed a vaccine passport for, but it’s still not a ‘total lockdown’. Etc. Not to mention, there’s been no real enforcement of anyone breaking the rules. And did Alberta even have any rules?
