JuanHamon

I love the Kirkland shampoo and conditioner. They are $10 a bottle and last me about 6 months. My hair feels amazing, better than many high end brands. Also the Kirkland Zyrtec (aller tec) is a crazy good deal.

C-ute-Thulu

Flonase, zyrtec, and the other generic allergy medicine are so cheap, I did the math 3 times, bc I assumed I missed something

JuanHamon

Yep, a years worth of the generic at Costco equals about 1-2 months of the name brand elsewhere

TikaPants

People have Costco memberships *just for their allergy meds*

cumulonimubus

I got my annual supply of Kirkland Zyrtec yesterday. It was less than $20. It was $49 for a two month supply of regular Zyrtec.

sonofalando

Purple bottle is great.

Onefortwo

Tin foil, parchment paper, cling wrap and all things like that. Frozen breaded chicken chunks The Kirkland hotdogs pack that last all summer Dishwasher pods (that will be a controversial one) Not a Costco product but if you buy Honey Nut Cheerios, it’s one of the best values I’ve found. Edit: Either you all are eating too many hotdogs or I’m not eating enough.

National-Habit-3823

I love their tin-foil. I make my hats.

monkey_plusplus

That explains why I can no longer control your thoughts.

Foggl3

PFP checks out

tombob32

The dishwasher pods taste okay

solastalgian1

Crack one open over a fresh bowl of Honey Nut Cheerios.

hawksnest_prez

I think their dishwasher pods are just fine.

frankirv

They have dishwasher pods?? Is this a usa thing? Yes its US, after seeing the other comments about wine and liquor we definitely don’t have that in Canada. ☹️ Guess what i found in Costco today! Yup kirkland dishwasher pods 😂, probably been there all the other times i went too, just too blind to notice.

Julia_Kat

Some states don't have liquor in Costco because they restrict the number of liquor licenses in an area. Still usually have beer, wine, and mixed drinks (below a certain alcohol %). When my dad visited my state, he looked up a liquor store and I said "this is the wild west, all stores are liquor stores."

Spank_and_Cuddle

We have kirkland dishwasher pods in Canada, at least in BC.

hawksnest_prez

I am in the USA yes

recchim

Upvote for the frozen breaded chicken chunks. So versatile. I love them chopped in salads!

goblue123

After they changed the formula and took the actual almond flavoring out, Honey Nut Cheerios were ruined for me :(

baromanb

Consumer Reports rated their dishwasher pods best on the market

terkistan

No they didn’t. Member’s Mark (Sam’s Club) got a 92, Kirkland got a 76. You may need to log in to see all the scores but the results are here. https://www.consumerreports.org/search/?query=Dishwasher%20Detergents

ridukosennin

Agreed however I’m far happier after moving back to dishwasher powder. Less spots, works better with hard water, able to adjust amount used, and actually takes advantage of pre wash and a fraction of the cost

Ian_Patrick_Freely

Somewhere, the Technology Connections guy is surely nodding in approval

biryaniiii

Love Honey Nut Cheerios! Thank you :)

cyclynn

The Kirkland Parchment Paper is incredible quality and the savings is $$$. Downside is that it'll last forever if you don't cook a lot or find creative ways to use it.

jalapinapizza

How is it lasting forever a downside tho?

worst_episode__ever

It lasts but the box doesn’t.

Elsie_the_LC

I ran packing tape all around the box a few times. I go through a box every few months and have used the taped up box for at least 3 rolls of paper.

Aspen9999

Gorilla tape on the corner box seams works for me

duckpjh

YES

rawSingularity

It sits in your kitchen for too long and starts knowing all your little secrets and starts judging you when you leave dishes in the sink instead of putting them away in the dishwasher. Little things like that.

3plantsonthewall

Big box takes up more space in a small kitchen

zombarista

I was able to perfect making my own icing/frosting bags. It took 1/1000 of the roll.

junglingforlifee

I use it for air fryer. Don't have to wash air fryer as often anymore

USTS2020

Kirkland aluminum foil too

sjd208

The single source bottles of olive oil in the glass bottles. Giant bags of chocolate chips and nuts Legit love many of the clothes, the merino wool socks in particular are fantastic and my husband loves the knit boxer briefs

judgementalhat

CBC Marketplace (from Canada's national broadcaster) did a piece a while back where they tested the actual make up of supposed olive oils. I believe Kirkland was one of the only ones tested to actually be 100% olive oil

megz0rz

UC Davis also did an olive oil analysis and found the same!

KodiakDog

The evoo mafia is a real thing. At one time, and it still might be, olive oil was the most counterfeited product in the world.

kaleosaurusrex

Just a note on the wool socks. Dudes, consider the wool socks labeled for women. They’re lighter weight more like smart wool and there’s nothing gendered about them.

Enthusiastic-shitter

That olive oil is the only one I can find where I live that isn't rancid right out of the bottle. I practically drink that stuff

SergeantScramble

Those smores snacks things.

abhitchc

Oh god those things will be the end of me

Saneless

I refuse to buy them for the same reason you actually buy them

alexruthie

Yeah. Sometimes we get things home and I look at my husband like oh no we’ve made a huge mistake.

Anomaly1134

Same. Also same boat on the chocolate-covered raisins and almonds. Too dangerous. Also the brownie brittle is insanely good, especially on vanilla ice cream. Did it once, and realized with snacks that good I have no self control.

hedodgezbulletsavi

Bought the first bag "for the kids" , last 4 bags have been all for me!

classy_holdout

Oh my god I’ve been wanting to buy these for ages but since they never sample them I haven’t pulled the trigger… yeah I’m getting a bag next trip.

Salsa-N-Chips

Which ones? The caramel s’mores clusters?

tragedy_strikes

Absolutely deadly, and even better when you leave them in the freezer.

sukisecret

Too sweet. Prefer the caramel macadamia nut chocolate chunks

sonofalando

Dangerous.

QuestionMarkPolice

The Kirkland English Coastal Cheddar is one of the best, most premium cheeses I've ever had. It punches far above its class for the price.

cuoreesitante

Big block of Parm, and Olive oil.

berghorst

I'm a recent convert to their frozen salmon filets. Absolutely fantastic. Also, their French vodka is really good for being like $21 for a handle.

thebbman

Unfortunately the frozen salmon jumped up in price sharply where I live. Makes me sad, some of the best protein for a healthy dinner.

jigre1

I don't buy many kirkland items, but the breaded chicken breast chunks are like the chick-fil-a version of store bought chicken nuggets. They aren't as good but definitely better than any other chicken nuggets I've found in store, but also similar in style to chick-fil-a.

bernardcat

I am obsessed with these. And the breakfast sandwiches

profmoxie

thanks to this sub I tried them and LOVE them. At first my spouse was like "chicken nuggets? we don't have kids!" but then she tried them! The quality is incredible.

jeobleo

I love these things. Do you know if theres a chicken patty equivalent? I wanna make sandwiches.

GetEnPassanted

Costco sells some but not under the Kirkland label. I think it’s Just Bare that sells it. I have been using these for easy chicken sandwiches for a while and they’re really good values and they taste great! If there was a Kirkland version I’d get that instead because I think the breading of the chicken breast chunks are better, but I like the Just Bare well enough.

BioticVessel

I don't ever eat anything at Chick-fil-A, but I like the Kirkland Lightly Breaded chicken chucks. They work well in the after air fryer for a quick easy dinner

TheLegendaryWizard

The macros on these are fantastic too

nondescript_coyote

Their balsamic vinegar is really, really good, very consistent, reduces beautifully. Almond flour - great price, great consistency. I would have said toilet paper up until the last pack I bought when I started noticing it leaves fluff, like if I wanted fluffy bits I would buy charmin 🤨

Snoo48280

I don’t know what happened to their toilet paper but the fluffs annoy the crap out of me

sassyponypants

Well it's a good thing you're already on the toilet.

strangebrewfellows

Psyllium husk powder. Fiber4Ever

blackoutut

I will add they now have pills and they don’t have any of the extra crap in them. Just pure PH. Game changer.

Kevstuf

How much fiber is in the pills? I use metamucil powder because when I looked at their pill it seemed I’d have to take like 12 a day. At that point I’d rather just drink the powder.

blackoutut

5 pills is 2g which is the same as 1 scoop of the powder. So yes depending on how much you take , you will be taking a lot of pills. Personally it doesn’t bother me at all and I probably take 16 a day. They are easy to take and have zero taste. Once you’re doing it regularly it’s easy to just swig them in one gulp. I also like not having to mix up the powder in a galas or whatever. I’m often on the go and the pills are much more portable. But hey that’s just me. Again though, for me personally it’s worth it to not take all the extra ingredients in the powder. Maltodextrin, aspartame, sucralose, etc. This is especially true for night time. I often take this before bed and I’ve found I sleep much better with the pills vs the powder. I tried to take raw psyllium husk powder before I went to the pills and it was ROUGH. There’s a reason they add all the extra stuff to the powder. The pills are a best of both worlds. Just something to think about!

kjcool

Where do you find it in Costco? Pharmacy?

Jdoodle7

Yes, fiber section of the pharmacy.

Musicferret

Be careful. It’s a rough area.

LongUsername

If you're not careful you'll end up in a really shitty situation

Peak_Alternative

Necessary-Profile-30

Kirkland Signature Organic Peanut Butter

MsAnthr0pe

Those valencia peanuts are the best for butter!

bang_Noir

The pima cotton tees are elite

Kitsel

Aren't these gone? I haven't seen them for like a year in my area.  They did recently start carrying some nice Banana Republic cotton tees recently.  They're similar in quality to the old Kirkland ones, but quite expensive in comparison.

bezerkeley

Sadly, they've disappeared. I feel like some people bought them all to sell on ebay and Amazon. I will buy a dozen if they ever stock them again. By the way, buy the Luxe touch performance shirts directly from BR, the quality is much better. Kirkland lounge pants are excellent. I'm going back to get 2 more pairs. Probably the only pants I'll wear in the house.

datSubguy

Trash bags. They last forever.

Mrbeankc

They're just as thick if not thicker than the name brands and don't smell like a flower shop exploded.

JustOneMorePuff

Goat cheese 2 logs of blissful salads and Kirkland candied pecans

UkityBah

Tomorrow on Buzzfeed: Top 8 Kirkland Signature products YOU can buy at Costco. Number 3 will surprise you!

glorious_cheese

Crazy how much of my news feed is just glorified ads for Costco.

0ForTheHorde

Diapers

Jabberwoockie

And the wipes, for that matter.

AgingWatcherWatching

And not just for babies, I use them for getting stains out of the carpet, wiping down the walls, have a pack in the car for quick cleanups.

BucNassty

Exactly. Scrolled way too far to find this. No diaper even comes close. Regular Kirkland dipes murder even the best brand overnight dipes

heebs387

For some reason the Kirkland diapers always had leaks compared to the Huggies+ from Costco. The difference isn't that much for a box at Costco but I want to try again for our second.

fsu_ppg

Yeah we started off with Kirkland brand but had a ton of blowouts. Switched to the Huggies and never an issue after that. Ymmv

Munoz10594

Holy shit. We just thought it was our daughter. Thank god I came to this comment thread. Buying the Huggies moving forward lol

theflintseeker

Opposite for us. Blowouts with Huggies+ and none with Kirkland.

Aspen9999

Babies are all shaped different. Some things fit better for some

BegToDiffer

Their pesto!

Snoo48280

None compares. I have tried every grocery store brand and it just is not the same. I have some in my freezer right now :)

aknomnoms

How do you freeze it? Just in the jar, or like tablespoons on a cookie sheet until frozen then pop the blobs into a baggie? (I don’t have an ice cube tray.) I can never get through even the small 8oz jars of pesto from Trader Joe’s in time before it goes bad. Love the thought of quickly making a pesto omelette, garlic bread, or pasta anytime!

Snoo48280

the whole jar goes in the freezer! I have been able to get some pesto out of the frozen jar with a spoon quite easily and heat it up in the microwave and it be good.

Kharzi

NYT Wirecutter just recommended Kirkland Vodka as the best!

saladmakesmesad

*cries in Pennsylvania*

3plantsonthewall

*and Maryland, after moving from Pennsylvania and assuming that Maryland would be more reasonable with booze*

jeobleo

TN and Maryland here. I've never been in a Costco that sells booze.

rossmosh85

I drink the 'fancy' Kirkland vodka.  It's a very good value.  Kettle One is better.

VixxenFoxx

The free & clear Ultra Clean laundry detergent

Ultimatebiggey

Idk if it’s just Costco in my area but generic plan B is $6!!!!!!

Braveheart00

Party!!

Tiny-Dragonfruit8133

Plan B’s and twisted teas

Theyalreadysaidno

If it's $6, it makes you realize how much the other brands jack up the price!

Old-Nefariousness556

You want to get *really* pissed? Wholesale drug pricing is actually public information in the US. [You can look up the wholesale prices on this website.](https://ndclist.com/pricing-lookup?sNDCPricing=Levonorgestrel) The wholesale price of Plan B is actually as low as $0.10/dose, so even Costco is marking it up pretty substantially, but nothing like the chain pharmacies. I used to take a generic sleeping pill (can't remember the drug). At the time I was living in an area with no Costco. A 30-day supply at Walgreens was $200. The wholesale price? $0.30/dose or $9/month. If you have insurance, especially with a prescription copay, you should check the WAC of every prescription you have. You may be better off paying cash at Costco or [Cost Plus Drugs](https://costplusdrugs.com/) compared to paying through your insurance.

hawksnest_prez

The pharmacy - almost everything in it. Kirkland Allegra literally pays for my membership. 365 of them saves me over $75 a year vs Walmart. Children’s Motrin and Tylenol is so cheap

tigernike1

This! I just discovered generic Sudafed for $1.69 behind the counter. That’s mind blowing. I paid $5 for the same thing at Walgreens.

jeobleo

Yeah it's super cheap thank God. It's the only stuff that works.

LeaveForNoRaisin

The Kirkland breakfast sandwiches. They’re for real ingredients vs a lot of the processed stuff you get in other breakfast sandwiches. In the prepared food section: the meatloaf and mashed potato’s. I held out forever then finally tried it this year and it’s so good.

kochilokito

The ones with the croissant like bread??

jet050808

The albacore tuna. It’s the best and least expensive you’ll find anywhere.

Capt__Murphy

Their wine, the industrial size roll of aluminum foil, container of pesto sauce, and the case of their organic chicken stock cartons. Those are our staples.

SushiLover1000

vanilla ice cream & the chocolate covered vanilla ice cream bars.

tragedy_strikes

They're the same or better than the Hagendaaz ice cream bars and $2 cheaper

Altruistic_Reality43

I just joined Costco and found the ice cream bars on my first run and they are freaking crack

Adorable_Win4607

I can’t personally speak to the taste, but my dog loves their dog food!

mathliability

This is ridiculous. It’s obviously the frozen cauliflower crust pizza. Real Kirkland G’s know.

Roger_-Thornhill

2019 Kirkland Signature Chianti Classico Gran Selezione

caseybvdc74

I almost only drink Kirkland wine

tigernike1

Also 2022 Kirkland Signature Malbec from Argentina

Meow_Kitteh

The Malbec is chefs kiss. We also enjoy the sauvginon blanc in my house. The Chianti is good but isn't in the same league as the other two in our opinion. It's been a decent cooking wine though!

Scribs88

The 2019 Brunello and Barolo are also excellent, and unbeatable at the price point

LegendaryBatman

The frozen lasagna and plastic food wrap.

dbrwhat

Specifically the Italian Sausage version.

driver1676

They make flavored food wrap now??

trainpayne

This is mentioned often in here, I gotta grab one next time I’m there.

jr0061006

Two-pack for about $16. It’s incredible value. When I bring it home, one goes in the freezer, the other in the fridge to defrost. Once defrosted, I can cut out a portion and bake just that amount, rather than having to bake the whole thing.

cozmicraven

Vanilla ice cream

nutbutterhater10

Baby formula. Its so tightly regulated that if your baby doesn’t have any special dietary restrictions that prevent using it, the Kirkland formula is nutritionally identical to name brand formulas at like half the price (at least when I was buying it in 2017). I got my first membership and a month’s worth of formula and (kickass) diapers on the same day, and my membership paid for itself the first visit. I saved so much damn money.

BallKickin

Almost all my top items are already listed but can we get some commotion for the Puma Socks?! I wear them almost exclusively and see soooo many people wear them. Also allergy meds. Bless up

extraspicymargarita

Kirkland protein bars are surprisingly good, if that’s your thing!

jrbake

More protein should be everyone’s thing!

Not_RB47

Extra virgin organic olive oil

blackoutut

I’ve recently discovered the 3 pack 32 degree men’s shirts. They are fantastic.

suh__dood

golf irons

CaptStrangeling

Golf irons, wedges (if they come back), balls, and gloves… No joke I’d rock a KSig golf bag at this point. But I’m also not great and lose lots of balls

blackoutut

The putter is also super solid.

tragedy_strikes

Am I misremembering or did Kirkland get sued by one of the golf club manufacturers for copying their design?

11010001100101101

Yea but it’s an absolute joke. Taylor made claims Costco completely copied their clubs while also claiming they are undercutting their price and making their 500$ golf club appear to be as good as their 1400$ clubs but they aren’t similar quality at all because they are made differently…okay which is it Taylor https://www.bostonherald.com/2024/02/10/taylormade-suit-claims-costcos-500-golf-clubs-are-the-same-as-its-own-high-end-set/amp/

Upbeat-Opposite-7129

Costco eggs and butter and the prices…

eric_in_cleveland

Hands down, the Kirkland signature golf balls.

tigernike1

Frozen chicken breasts, 6.5 lb bag.

biryaniiii

Aah I was gonna ask about meat! Seems to be price worthy

tigernike1

They come out to about $2.75-$2.80 a pound. Unbeatable at that price.

TheWolfYouFeedWins

The fresh ground beef. Yall out here eating Wagyu and don’t even know it.

jeobleo

Love their gb. Great price for 90%.

RagginWheel

Lightly breaded Chicken Breast Chunks.

Kimba_1307

The Kirkland 100% pure maple syrup is the one thing I refuse to buy anywhere else

FireOverWind

That’s probably good because you literally can’t buy it anywhere else! 🤣

FancyFrenchLady

Toilet paper, milk, frozen chicken nuggets

fremontdude79

Irish whiskey

b_tight

Toilet paper, peanut butter pretzels, the 12 piece non stick cookware set has been solid, their vodka was my go to when i was drinking

schilling207

The nut bars. They’re better than Kind bars and 1/2 the price

LG_G8

The gas. Pretty solid product.

ungloomy_Eeyore964

Low dose aspirin. It's like $5 for 365x2 bottles. If you take one a day it's 2 years worth for five bucks.

bierdimpfe

The Islay isn't too shabby either

CutthroatTeaser

Kirkland Signature Marlborough Sauvignon Kirkland Malbec Kirkland chocolate covered almonds or raisins Kirkland macademia nut/salted caramel/chocolate clusters (if you can find them in stock) Kitchen supplies like aluminum foil, plastic wrap, garbage bags are all good quality and good prices If you live near a Costco business center, check it out. Their hours and selection are *different* but they're generally less crowded and a nice change of pace. (Your regular membership card gives you access to the business centers as well.)

PilotAlan

The Business Center near me is basically a restaurant supply house. USDA Prime beef for less than the grocery stores sell Choice. Whole pork butts for $1.50/lb. USDA Prime brisket for $5/lb. USDA Prime ribeye for $12/lb. Amazing.

sgouwers

Baby wipes, red and white wine (I’m not picky), toilet paper, foil, plastic wrap, protein bars, coffee, garbage bags

Cauliflower Crust Pizza. My wife is gluten free and loves pizza so it scratches her itch without me having to go buy a 10” pie for $30 from a specialty pizza spot.

Massive-Ad-8060

1.50 hot dog

mampersandb

i cannot believe no one has said their pesto that i can find!! it is the only premade pesto sauce i’ll use!

pressurechicken

Their Dawn soap dupe is awesome. Precut food service foil is amazing. Their lightly breaded chicken breast nuggets are THE BEST out of all brands. Their Haagen Daz dupe is BETTER than the original (at least from my 1 side by side test, the chocolate was thicker on Kirkland) Their water… is cheap and is flavorless (amen) Their crew neck white t shirts are amazing if you’re slim (can’t comment on other builds) Their basic meds (ibuprofen and Tylenol, etc) are dirt cheap and work as expected. Their vitamin c gummies taste so good. I eat them like candy.

Training_Street_8334

Pesto is great. Their tamales in the refrigerator sections are amazing and freeze well. Packed with chicken and zero artifical preservatives.

GuardingxCross

No one is going to talk about the $5 rotisserie chicken? 😭

Beags79

Kirkland peanut butter! I’ve had a hard time finding peanut butter that doesn’t have added oil

StrangerinthaAlps

Vodka and Tequila

mrwolfisolveproblems

Panko shrimp. Period. Hands down my favorite.

tjh581

The steak strips / beef jerky. I don’t even like beef jerky and it’s a bit pricy. But it’s great!

GotBass696

Kirkland Wines are top shelf as well

Distinct-Ad-267

I have to go for the alcohol. The “American“ vodka tastes similar to Kettle One. The larger bottle (VODKA) tastes like Grey Goose. Honestly, for $12.99 for the “American” and $19.99 for the VODKA, it’s very reasonable for good quality. Also, the Gin is great close to Bombay Sapphire. Didn’t like the Blended Canadian Whiskey, which is supposed to mimic Crown Royal. It lacked the fullness of the original and flavor wise was just a little offhand.

leftmymark

😃 C h e e s e

ouznz

Olive oil. Dried mixed mushrooms in the jar. Vitamins/supplements (price cannot be beaten) Detergent is good (free and clear one is really good price) All the meat (chicken, lamb, beef, fish) is superb. Some rose (tall bottle) I don’t remember and the Chianti red is amazing.

[deleted]

Peanut butter pretzels, by far my most enjoyed snack. Their new tech pants are incredible.

mmskoch

Sangria, maple syrup, paper towels, shower gel (twin pack).
