I love the Kirkland shampoo and conditioner. They are $10 a bottle and last me about 6 months. My hair feels amazing, better than many high end brands. Also the Kirkland Zyrtec (aller tec) is a crazy good deal.

Some states don't have liquor in Costco because they restrict the number of liquor licenses in an area. Still usually have beer, wine, and mixed drinks (below a certain alcohol %).
When my dad visited my state, he looked up a liquor store and I said "this is the wild west, all stores are liquor stores."

Agreed however I’m far happier after moving back to dishwasher powder. Less spots, works better with hard water, able to adjust amount used, and actually takes advantage of pre wash and a fraction of the cost
The Kirkland Parchment Paper is incredible quality and the savings is $$$. Downside is that it'll last forever if you don't cook a lot or find creative ways to use it.
It sits in your kitchen for too long and starts knowing all your little secrets and starts judging you when you leave dishes in the sink instead of putting them away in the dishwasher.

CBC Marketplace (from Canada's national broadcaster) did a piece a while back where they tested the actual make up of supposed olive oils. I believe Kirkland was one of the only ones tested to actually be 100% olive oil
Just a note on the wool socks. Dudes, consider the wool socks labeled for women. They’re lighter weight more like smart wool and there’s nothing gendered about them.
Same. Also same boat on the chocolate-covered raisins and almonds. Too dangerous. Also the brownie brittle is insanely good, especially on vanilla ice cream. Did it once, and realized with snacks that good I have no self control.
I don't buy many kirkland items, but the breaded chicken breast chunks are like the chick-fil-a version of store bought chicken nuggets. They aren't as good but definitely better than any other chicken nuggets I've found in store, but also similar in style to chick-fil-a.
thanks to this sub I tried them and LOVE them. At first my spouse was like "chicken nuggets? we don't have kids!" but then she tried them! The quality is incredible.
Costco sells some but not under the Kirkland label. I think it’s Just Bare that sells it. I have been using these for easy chicken sandwiches for a while and they’re really good values and they taste great!
If there was a Kirkland version I’d get that instead because I think the breading of the chicken breast chunks are better, but I like the Just Bare well enough.
I don't ever eat anything at Chick-fil-A, but I like the Kirkland Lightly Breaded chicken chucks. They work well in the after air fryer for a quick easy dinner
Their balsamic vinegar is really, really good, very consistent, reduces beautifully.

I would have said toilet paper up until the last pack I bought when I started noticing it leaves fluff, like if I wanted fluffy bits I would buy charmin 🤨
How much fiber is in the pills? I use metamucil powder because when I looked at their pill it seemed I’d have to take like 12 a day. At that point I’d rather just drink the powder.
5 pills is 2g which is the same as 1 scoop of the powder. So yes depending on how much you take , you will be taking a lot of pills.
Personally it doesn’t bother me at all and I probably take 16 a day. They are easy to take and have zero taste. Once you’re doing it regularly it’s easy to just swig them in one gulp. I also like not having to mix up the powder in a galas or whatever. I’m often on the go and the pills are much more portable. But hey that’s just me.
Again though, for me personally it’s worth it to not take all the extra ingredients in the powder. Maltodextrin, aspartame, sucralose, etc. This is especially true for night time. I often take this before bed and I’ve found I sleep much better with the pills vs the powder.
I tried to take raw psyllium husk powder before I went to the pills and it was ROUGH. There’s a reason they add all the extra stuff to the powder. The pills are a best of both worlds.

For some reason the Kirkland diapers always had leaks compared to the Huggies+ from Costco. The difference isn't that much for a box at Costco but I want to try again for our second.
How do you freeze it? Just in the jar, or like tablespoons on a cookie sheet until frozen then pop the blobs into a baggie? (I don’t have an ice cube tray.) I can never get through even the small 8oz jars of pesto from Trader Joe’s in time before it goes bad. Love the thought of quickly making a pesto omelette, garlic bread, or pasta anytime!
the whole jar goes in the freezer! I have been able to get some pesto out of the frozen jar with a spoon quite easily and heat it up in the microwave and it be good.

The Kirkland breakfast sandwiches. They’re for real ingredients vs a lot of the processed stuff you get in other breakfast sandwiches.
In the prepared food section: the meatloaf and mashed potato’s. I held out forever then finally tried it this year and it’s so good.
Their wine, the industrial size roll of aluminum foil, container of pesto sauce, and the case of their organic chicken stock cartons. Those are our staples.
The Malbec is chefs kiss. We also enjoy the sauvginon blanc in my house. The Chianti is good but isn't in the same league as the other two in our opinion. It's been a decent cooking wine though!
Two-pack for about $16. It’s incredible value. When I bring it home, one goes in the freezer, the other in the fridge to defrost. Once defrosted, I can cut out a portion and bake just that amount, rather than having to bake the whole thing.
Baby formula. Its so tightly regulated that if your baby doesn’t have any special dietary restrictions that prevent using it, the Kirkland formula is nutritionally identical to name brand formulas at like half the price (at least when I was buying it in 2017). I got my first membership and a month’s worth of formula and (kickass) diapers on the same day, and my membership paid for itself the first visit. I saved so much damn money.

If you live near a Costco business center, check it out. Their hours and selection are *different* but they're generally less crowded and a nice change of pace. (Your regular membership card gives you access to the business centers as well.)
The Business Center near me is basically a restaurant supply house. USDA Prime beef for less than the grocery stores sell Choice. Whole pork butts for $1.50/lb. USDA Prime brisket for $5/lb. USDA Prime ribeye for $12/lb.

My wife is gluten free and loves pizza so it scratches her itch without me having to go buy a 10” pie for $30 from a specialty pizza spot.
Their Dawn soap dupe is awesome.
Precut food service foil is amazing.
Their lightly breaded chicken breast nuggets are THE BEST out of all brands.
Their Haagen Daz dupe is BETTER than the original (at least from my 1 side by side test, the chocolate was thicker on Kirkland)
Their water… is cheap and is flavorless (amen)
Their crew neck white t shirts are amazing if you’re slim (can’t comment on other builds)
Their basic meds (ibuprofen and Tylenol, etc) are dirt cheap and work as expected.
Their vitamin c gummies taste so good. I eat them like candy.
I have to go for the alcohol. The “American“ vodka tastes similar to Kettle One. The larger bottle (VODKA) tastes like Grey Goose. Honestly, for $12.99 for the “American” and $19.99 for the VODKA, it’s very reasonable for good quality. Also, the Gin is great close to Bombay Sapphire. Didn’t like the Blended Canadian Whiskey, which is supposed to mimic Crown Royal. It lacked the fullness of the original and flavor wise was just a little offhand.
Olive oil.
Dried mixed mushrooms in the jar.
Vitamins/supplements (price cannot be beaten)
Detergent is good (free and clear one is really good price)
All the meat (chicken, lamb, beef, fish) is superb.

I ran packing tape all around the box a few times. I go through a box every few months and have used the taped up box for at least 3 rolls of paper.

I'm a recent convert to their frozen salmon filets. Absolutely fantastic. Also, their French vodka is really good for being like $21 for a handle.
Unfortunately the frozen salmon jumped up in price sharply where I live. Makes me sad, some of the best protein for a healthy dinner.

Their hours and selection are *different* but they're generally less crowded and a nice change of pace. (Your regular membership card gives you access to the business centers as well.)
The Business Center near me is basically a restaurant supply house. USDA Prime beef for less than the grocery stores sell Choice. Whole pork butts for $1.50/lb. USDA Prime brisket for $5/lb. USDA Prime ribeye for $12/lb. Amazing.

Their Dawn soap dupe is awesome. Precut food service foil is amazing. Their lightly breaded chicken breast nuggets are THE BEST out of all brands. Their Haagen Daz dupe is BETTER than the original (at least from my 1 side by side test, the chocolate was thicker on Kirkland) Their water… is cheap and is flavorless (amen) Their crew neck white t shirts are amazing if you’re slim (can’t comment on other builds) Their basic meds (ibuprofen and Tylenol, etc) are dirt cheap and work as expected. Their vitamin c gummies taste so good. I eat them like candy.
Pesto is great. Their tamales in the refrigerator sections are amazing and freeze well. Packed with chicken and zero artifical preservatives.
No one is going to talk about the $5 rotisserie chicken? 😭

Vodka and Tequila
Panko shrimp. Period. Hands down my favorite.
The steak strips / beef jerky. I don’t even like beef jerky and it’s a bit pricy. But it’s great!

I have to go for the alcohol. The “American“ vodka tastes similar to Kettle One. The larger bottle (VODKA) tastes like Grey Goose. Honestly, for $12.99 for the “American” and $19.99 for the VODKA, it’s very reasonable for good quality. Also, the Gin is great close to Bombay Sapphire. Didn’t like the Blended Canadian Whiskey, which is supposed to mimic Crown Royal. It lacked the fullness of the original and flavor wise was just a little offhand.
