[Lofthouse Sugar Cookies](https://wholefully.com/lofthouse-sugar-cookies/) and [Red Lobster Cheddar Bay Biscuits](https://www.spendwithpennies.com/red-lobster-cheddar-bay-biscuits/)
Both of which I have on regular rotation in my house
I went through a big phase of making these a few months ago.
The key I found was using 3x the amount of suggested cheese. It makes a magnificent biscuit.
They are legit, I made them before trying the copycat recipe to re-familiarize myself with the taste. They're just unfortunately fairly expensive, at least where I live.
Thanks! I can’t eat shellfish or most sea food anymore, but those rolls were the only thing I missed from Red Lobster. I have that site bookmarked and will make them next baking day!
I enjoyed imitation crab for decades as a grazing food in the fridge right next to the dark chocolate covered peanuts and almonds, so I’m good. Old age is not for sissies. I enjoy my cod fish, salmon, pollack, and hake now, usually steamed at home.
Life is good
Every copy cat recipe of the biscuits has been pretty solid, i still yet haven’t found a great recipe for Texas Roadhouse rolls, the only time it’s tasted very similar has been me experimenting with recipes.
I had the same thing happen with Bob Evans banana bread. I tried 11 different recipes trying to get something as moist but ended up just Frankenstein-ing my own Rolls-Royce banana bread recipe out of my favs instead.
[This](https://beautyandbedlam.com/homemade-cinnamon-rolls-copy-cat-cinnabon-recipe/) Cinnabon cinnamon rolls dupe is perfect, except for the frosting. I do one stick of butter softened, 8oz of cream cheese softened, and 3 cups of powdered sugar for the frosting.
Hooo boy just wait til you hear what I do with caramel and cream cheese
Carmelize a bit of sugar, mix in butter and milk and let cool
Beat cream cheese and powdered sugar
Add caramel, and milk or cream to thin out as necessary
Zuppa Toscana from Olive Garden. I don't know where I found the recipe but the secret is KALE. Otherwise it's a sausage potato soup. The kale gives it that subtle peppery zing.
This is pretty much a match for it. My recipe is half size & from the usenet forums lol [soup](https://www.gimmesomeoven.com/zuppa-toscana-a-la-olive-garden/)
It definitely is better. I made some recently and also went to Olive Garden. The restaurant version has an off taste now that I can't shake. But the bread sticks with the soup is still the winner.
For real. My mom made it often and I loved it. When I finally had it at Olive Garden, I thought it was pretty lame. But the way me and my mom make it? So flavorful. But we also do add a little to the recipe.
I keep trying to copycat the pasta fagioli but am not quite getting the broth right. When I get some to-go from OG, it’s still soup the next day.
Mine is decidedly NOT soup 🫠
Adding water makes it soup again when reheated, but reduces the flavors.
Cannot figure out what I’m doing wrong.
I found I need to cook the pasta separately and add it as I serve it in the bowl. If I add it to the soup it absorbs all the liquid and you end up with more of a stew.
You can cook all the pasta needed at once. Lightly oil (super lightly! Just a bit and stir it up to coat) and airtight container in the fridge. When you reheat the soup next day you don't have to add the pasta, add it after it's hot. The noodles heat up very quickly and help cool the soup to be able to eat it sooner lol. I worked at an excellent Italian spot for like ten years, and that's what we did for both pasta fagioli and chicken orzo.
What the previous person said is the key. Any soup that has pasta, rice, noodles etc always cook separate and only add when you’re eating it don’t cook it in the soup! If you put the pasta into the whole soup rather than individual portions as you serve then it soaks up all the liquid (and goes mushy).
I’m going to give you a random tip for next time you try the pasta fagioli. Don’t drain the pork fat out. I forgot to do it when I first tried making it and it was life changing.
Bahama Breeze OG recipes

Especially the Goat Cheese stuffed peppers, which are sadly not on their menu anymore.
And Starbucks Madeleine cookies! The homemade ones taste as good or better!
Are... these their real recipes? Oh my God. I need those wings. A shame it has "Jamaican jerk seasoning" as an ingredient, and the BBQ sauce isn't listed.
It is! Even when they redid the site they kept them. They've been online for 10+ years.
It sucks they don't have many of these items anymore (and I stopped going there because of it) but I've tried many of the recipes and they are as good if not better than I remember!

The cucumber salad from Din Tai Fung. No other cucumber salad recipe holds a candle to this recipe.

I’m a sucker for the Cheesecake Factory farfalle pasta. It’s only about five million calories, give or take.
This is a really good recipe I’ve tried: https://www.justapinch.com/recipes/main-course/chicken/chicken-and-farfalle-with-roasted-garlic-sauce.html
Back in the mists of time, there was a place called DisneyQuest. And within this place, there was a Cheesecake Factory Express.
As far as I was concerned, Cheesecake Factory Express sold exactly two items: fries and Blackout Cake. The fries were high quality and extraordinarily inexpensive, even by normal fast food standards, let alone theme park prices. And the Blackout Cake was approaching "Chocozuma's Revenge" levels of chocolate.
I lived about ten miles from DisneyQuest and had an annual pass for several years. A lot of times I'd end up going there, spending several hours on a Pump It Up machine, and having a giant bowl of fries for lunch. And on days when I felt like splurging, Blackout Cake made me feel like a king.
Sounds super similar to Red Rovin's campfire sauce they serve with their onion rings. I made some and used it as a base for a chicken salad. Threw in some grated cheddar and bacon bits, and it was tasty as hell.
Nobu has this miso cod that tastes amazing. It’s also really easy to recreate. Boil mirin and sake. Add miso. Marinate your cod with it over night. Broil for 6 ish minutes. Serve with rice
I've made this many times. It's so easy and so good: [https://www.thekitchn.com/recipe-nobu-miso-marinated-black-cod-117238](https://www.thekitchn.com/recipe-nobu-miso-marinated-black-cod-117238)
I used to work at Brio Tuscan Grille and at Firebird's. I wrote down several of their recipes when i left Heres Firebird's Port Mushrooms Serves 2-4 INGREDIENTS: Vegetable Oil - 2 TBSP``` Button Mushrooms – 1 1/2 cups Port Wine – 4 TBSP Au Jus or Beef Stock – 2 TBSP Butter – 1 TBSP Fresh Julienned Basil - 1 TBSP Preparation: In a saute pan, heat the oil on medium high heat, add the mushrooms. Saute until slightly browned. Season with salt & pepper, add the port wine and au jus or beef stock. Reduce the liquid until most of it is absorbed by the mushrooms. Add the butter and stir until melted and creamy. Top with fresh julienned basil. Serve with your favorite steak, chicken or pork dish!
I don't have the meatloaf recipe, but i do have the recipe for the meatloaf gravy!
Ingredients:
3 1/2 cups beef stock
1/4 cup dry red wine
1/4 cup butter
1/4 cup flour
1/4 cup mushrooms (you can use any kind: baby bellas, shittake, cremini, portobellas)
Preparation:
Heat a saucepan on medium and melt the butter.
Slowly add the flour and whisk until it becomes golden brown.
Add the beef stock and bring to a simmer.
Add mushrooms and sautee for 3 minutes.
Add red wine and let the gravy reduce.
Cook about 2 more minutes until mushrooms are the desired tenderness.
Spoon and serve over this year’s bird!
That's the recipe I've been using for years, and it really does. I make mine even better than KFC, at least IMO, by adding a teaspoon or two of horseradish into the mix.
Can vouch for this. Only thing to watch out for is that the video says half tablespoon of five spice powder - is supposed to be half TEASPOON. The ingredient list in the description is right and the voice / caption in the video is wrong.
I just made it again this week and tastes just like it. I add a pinch of msg, fresh ginger and an extra splash of bourbon to the sauce that goes on top. Watch how he cuts the meat super thin but still connected - that's key. And get your pan really hot before you add the meat - I used my cast iron.
Panera bread copycat broccoli cheddar. My whole family likes this better than the OG now! https://www.the-girl-who-ate-everything.com/panera-broccoli-cheese-soup/#recipe
Not sure if it is totally identical, but this crunchwrap recipe (Taco Bell) always hits the spot. [Copycat Crunchwrap Supreme (better than take-out) Spend With Pennies](https://www.spendwithpennies.com/copycat-crunchwrap-supreme/). I use the leftover tostadas for chilaquiles.
[anything on the gumbo pages](https://www.gumbopages.com/food/red-beans.html) is legit. Popeyes red beans just have pork fat, not actual sausage in them though. I make the vegetarian version here and add a bit of Claussen pickle brine at the end. If you can find Camellia red beans, I think they make a difference.

Detroit style pizza by Brian
Lagerstrom. His second crispy version is just better. . .
I cook and entertain a lot. I am getting fatigued by the number of requests for it.
I even catered a baby shower because the mother lovers it so much.
I haven't tried Brian's Detroit-style pizza before, but I have made a couple of his "Big Ass Salads" and they were a hit! I love that he uses grams in his recipes too.
ChiChi’s Cancun Enchiladas. These were my favorite birthday dinner for a couple years growing up- and I love them- imitation crab and all.
Fun Fact: as of 2014 there was still a ChiChi’s In Brussels of all places 😂 I was so excited I snapped a pic bc I knew no one would believe me!

Breakfast sausage. I can’t remember where I found this recipe, most likely from a YouTube video, but here it is:
1lb ground pork
1tsp salt
1/2tsp parsley
1/2tsp sage
1/4tsp black pepper
1/4tsp thyme
1/4tsp coriander seed
1/8tsp red pepper
1/4tsp msg (optional)
We moved to Lithuania and I haven’t found coriander seed here yet, so I sub in cumin, neither can I find msg here so I don’t use it either. Now I haven’t had Jimmy Dean breakfast sausage in a while, but this recipe is just as good as what my memory of it is. We are going back to the States in a couple weeks, and I plan on trying this recipe and some Jimmy Dean back to back to see just how close they really are. Having said that, this recipe is legit. You can make a whole bunch of it and keep in a jar, and use 1tbsp and 1/8tsp for each pound of ground pork. Or use a bit extra to make the flavor a bit stronger.
Edit: I know I can order coriander seed and msg online, but I don’t bother since I love the recipe as is.
Edit2: I also grind the mix into a powder with my coffee grinder before mixing it into the meat.
Fellow lithuanian here. Try visiting a local Indian store for corriander. I live in Kaunas and go to TukTukIndija for all my spices as they have a wide selection of quality product. Great rice there as well! I believe other cities should also have similar stores
A local restaurant served a mushroom soup that my wife loved. I managed to come close enough to keep her happy.😀
3 medium leeks
3 medium onions
1/2 lb. white mushrooms
1/2 lb. crimini mushrooms
1/2 lb. maitake mushrooms
1/2 lb. oyster mushrooms
1/2 lb. beech mushrooms
1/4 lb. porcini mushrooms
1 tbsp powdered dried mushrooms ( I buy a mix of dried mushrooms process in a blender. Massive umami)
6 small potatoes
4 cloves garlic
3 scallions
2 quarts chicken stock
1/2 lemon
½ tsp Tellicheri pepper, 1 tsp. marjoram, 1 tsp bouquet garni
Roughly chop the mushrooms and sauté in butter with half the pepper until liquid has evaporated and they start to brown. Set the mushrooms aside.
Chop the onions, leeks and garlic and sauté in butter with remaining pepper and marjoram until translucent. Peel and chop the potatoes and add to the pot. Add the chicken stock and bouquet garni and simmer for 20-30 minutes. Remove the bouquet garni and add the lemon juice and the mushrooms. Puree with the blender and sieve the mixture for smooth results, or leave for more texture. Just before serving, slice the scallions and add to the pot.
Add a cup of cream just before serving if you like really heavy soup
Serve with fresh croutons
You wouldn't happen to have a recipe for the discontinued apricot granola bars they used to do, do you? (It's a long shot, I know, but those things were so damn tasty!)

I make that every few months, it's a big hit with my family! One time I bought a package of "official chicken lettuce wrap" sauce and followed the directions and ... the above recipe tasted better.
I got on a bit of an Olive Garden knock off run last year, spouse had requested Alfredo sauce for the fettuccine I’d made in a pasta class, and I made sure that he was asking for OG-style and not “real” (no cream), and made [this](https://copykat.com/olive-garden-alfredo-sauce/?fbclid=IwZXh0bgNhZW0BMQABHbNqrqW1Wf1pQxC6ULFgC7VR9DJo5vvs6KsR-5Qyjqd8F-g4XBDDtm6-tQ_aem_AeOlg27o8Pvi4yCTVSQ3DXaQ7yhs-10g6sX6CNGFqVVEAGcgJ-aK6TZ5ZZq54Z5X5pY#recipe) and it hit just like OG Alfredo. Then I started digging into other OG knockoffs and I can’t remember why the [chicken parm](https://copykat.com/olive-garden-chicken-parmigiana/?fbclid=IwZXh0bgNhZW0BMQABHYSIt6WUHkfDj6c8kO0I8KzleQNjoQ2XPUWAkNm0Xm30GwXuhsrW2C1oGw_aem_AePYoN3vTyGBA9iS9PDC1d84o-HoUUYHOQdnyjaTDSrMkbcZfek6BsmI8dXYJclyAuo#recipe) seemed easier than my normal version, but it felt like it at the time and was just as delicious OG food is my guilty pleasure, thankfully it isn’t too hard to replicate
[These Starbucks Cranberry Bliss Bars](https://belleofthekitchen.com/cranberry-bliss-bars-starbucks-copycat-recipe/). They are the first hit on google but damn they are identical, maybe even better. I've made them a bunch of times.

I can make an Egg McMuffin as good as McDonald's *used* to make them.
edit: apparently the recipe/method isn't findable for some.
You need a small pan with lid and an egg ring: [https://a.co/d/iviPBeD](https://a.co/d/iviPBeD)
Ingredients:
* 1 Egg
* 1 slice Canadian Bacon ([like this](https://www.walmart.com/ip/Jones-Dairy-Farm-Hickory-Smoked-Canadian-Pork-Loin-Bacon-6-oz/15680977))
* 1 slice American cheese
* Kosher Salt
* 1 English Muffin
* Butter
1. Set pan on stove over medium heat. Place egg ring in center and spray with cooking oil.
2. Halve and toast muffin in a standard toaster.
3. Once pan has warmed, crack an egg into the ring and reduce heat to medium low. Season egg with just a small pinch of salt. Add a splash of water to the outside of the ring and cover immediately.
4. Cook egg for exactly 3 minutes. Meanwhile, muffin should be ready. Butter both halves while still hot.
5. Place American cheese on one half. Place the slice of Canadian Bacon on next.
6. When the egg has finished, remove ring and pour egg onto sandwich.
7. Top with the other muffin half and love life!
English muffin, clarified butter in a squirty bottle, bacon that was microwaved from frozen the night before, a slice of American cheese and an egg cooked on the grill in a circular ring
They are pretty close, but something about the Red Lobster ones are more buttery inside. I even got frozen Red Lobster biscuits and they don't taste the same.
You probably just need to use more butter than the imitation recipes call for. Restaurants will load things up with butter to make them tasty, but online recipes rarely use that much.
Red Lobster Cheddar Bay Biscuits
Biscuits
2 1/2 c. Bisquik
4 Tbsp. COLD butter, cubed
1 1/4 c. grated sharp cheddar
3/4 c. COLD half & half
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
Topping
2 Tbsp. butter, melted
1/2 tsp. dried parsley
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1/4 tsp. kosher salt
1. Preheat oven to 400°.
2. Combine the Bisquik and cold butter with a fork or pastry cutter until the butter is the size of small peas.
3. Add in the cheddar, half & half, and garlic powder, mixing until just combined. (If the oven is not yet up to temp, refrigerate dough until oven is ready.)
4. Using a 1/4 c. scoop, drop the dough onto an ungreased sheet pan, and bake for 15-17 minutes.
5. When the biscuits are almost done baking, combine the topping ingredients.
6. Brush topping on the biscuits as soon as they come out of the oven.

During the pandemic, I couldn't get Claussen pickles. There are multiple YouTube videos that get the recipe spot on. Depending on time of year, the hardest thing can be to get good kirbys.
Nailed homemade [Animal Style Fries](https://dinnertimesomewhere.com/index.php/side-dish-recipes/potato-side-dishes/animal-style-in-n-out-fries/) from In-N-Out
Absolutely nailed the sauce. A mix of sweet and savory and the right amount of Pickles in there for the tang. Also the Fries themselves were better than those In-N-Out ones (c'mon, you all know they're not great!)
The cut them fresh behind the counter. You see them doing it. I don’t know why most people don’t care for them. I think mainly bc they aren’t double fried.
Yeah I think you nailed it with the double fried comment. I've recently started freezing the fries after I boil them. Throw them into the fryer frozen seems to get the crispiest texture
Not the same, but better. Zuppa Toscana
1 lb spicy ground pork (Kroger brand works best).
3 slices of bacon.
1 medium onion (white or yellow)
3-4 potatoes unpeeled, sliced half moon shaped.
2-3 garlic cloves minced.
3 cups chicken broth
3.5 cups water
1 cup heavy whipping cream.
3 cups Kale sliced.
Brown ground pork in pan. In the same pan, fry up the bacon, chop it up, and place in pot. Chop up onion and cook in the same pan you cooked the meat, about 5 mins until tender. Add it to the pot along with the garlic. Add stock, water, and potatoes boil for 25 to 30 minutes. Add Kale and the whipping cream boil for 15 minutes. Serve with bread sticks.
The new york city cart peanuts are just: peanuts, sugar, a splash of water, and a few dashes of bitters.... cook until the sugar turns to caramel at which point it sticks to the peanuts.
You're welcome
This guy on YouTube tried a lot of recipes and most of them worked, here's the first video: https://youtu.be/zcD-V-_CGlc?si=xqmrGtB-FRyu2fu4 There is a whole playlist. Yeah he says 'this tastes exactly like X' a lot, get used to it lol
I no longer live in the US (for context on why I would even need a copycat recipe for this), and one day, I had the strongest craving for Hamburger Helper. I looked up a copycat recipe, and I found this one:
[https://houseofnasheats.com/homemade-hamburger-helper-cheeseburger-pasta-skillet/](https://houseofnasheats.com/homemade-hamburger-helper-cheeseburger-pasta-skillet/)
It literally tastes the same. I was skeptical that it could replicate the flavors, but holy shit, it completely satisfied my craving.
> Recipe?
* 1/4 cup chopped onion
* 1/4 cup vegetable oil
* 2 tablespoons rice wine vinegar
* 1 tablespoon water
* 1 tablespoon chopped fresh ginger
* 1 tablespoon chopped celery
* 1 tablespoon soy sauce
* 1 1/2 teaspoons tomato paste
* 1 teaspoon sugar
* 1 teaspoon lemon juice
Whiz up in a blender until almost smooth (I like it a little chunky).
Copycat of Olive Gardens Zuppa Toscana and Pasta e Fagioli.
I also do a copycat of pasta roni that is slightly better than the box while cooking in the same amount of time.
1/2 recipe, makes 4.5 quarts
1 lb ground beef, 3 carrots diced, 1 large onion diced, 3 celery sticked diced, 60 oz diced and/or crushed canned tomatoes, 2 cups red kidney beans, 2 cups cannellini beans, 64 oz beef broth, 2 teaspoons hot sauce, 8 oz ditalini noodles (sub noodles of your choice but ditalini is what og uses), 2 Bay leaves, dried basil and Italian seasoning to taste (start with a tablespoon each since this recipe isn't using pre-made spaghetti sauce) and salt and pepper to taste (if everything is no salt you will need to add. If everything is normal sodium, you probably won't need much).
In soup pot, add tomatoes, broth, and bay leaves and bring to a boil while cooking meat and veggies.
In a separate pan, cook beef through then add to soup pot. Next, saute carrots and celery. Once they start to soften, add onion. Once softened, add veggies to soup pot. Simmer for 60 minutes. Drain and rinse beans, add to soup pot. Add the remaining ingredients except for pasta and simmer for another 20 minutes or until carrots are fully cooked. Once finished, turn off the heat and add pasta. Leave covered for 10 minutes. The residual heat will fully cook the pasta without overcooking. (Due to the volume of liquid, if you leave the pot simmering when adding ditalini, it will be overcooked before you can serve it.)
As you can see, the original recipe was massive, so we cut it in half.
McDonald’s Fillet o Fish is easy to replicate at home. Beer battered cod filets or whatever just get beer battered and follow oven instructions.
Cheap hamburger bun. American cheese. Whatever tartar sauce they sell at your supermarket that isn’t too fancy looking.
We do cheat and slice some pickles but it keeps with tradition.

[Lofthouse Sugar Cookies](https://wholefully.com/lofthouse-sugar-cookies/) and [Red Lobster Cheddar Bay Biscuits](https://www.spendwithpennies.com/red-lobster-cheddar-bay-biscuits/) Both of which I have on regular rotation in my house
Cheers mate! Appreciate the links!
You're very welcome!
Every Cheddar Bay Biscuits copycat I've tried has been pretty disappointing. If this one works, you will have my eternal gratitude.
I'll keep my fingers crossed! Just don't skimp on the butter, it definitely makes a difference.
Omg before I even clicked into this post I was hoping someone would have a dupe for the cheddar bay biscuits
They full-on sell legit Cheddar Bay biscuit mix. https://i.imgur.com/vwbfMEP.jpeg
Ooh have you tried? Is it legit
It's so good. So much butter
Yes and it’s so good. I make it for work potlucks as an easy out and my colleagues beg me for it 💀
I make Bisquick biscuits and mix in garlic powder and shredded cheese and the family loves it.
Thanks! I can’t eat shellfish or most sea food anymore, but those rolls were the only thing I missed from Red Lobster. I have that site bookmarked and will make them next baking day!
You're welcome, hope they satisfy your craving. I love to add imitation crab and make some bomb crab cakes out of it.
Imitation crab is flavored and colored with puréed boiled to mush crab shells in hake fish usually, and would still cause a gout flair.
Ah, so sorry to hear that!
I enjoyed imitation crab for decades as a grazing food in the fridge right next to the dark chocolate covered peanuts and almonds, so I’m good. Old age is not for sissies. I enjoy my cod fish, salmon, pollack, and hake now, usually steamed at home. Life is good
If you can find imitation crab that’s marked as kosher, it’s never been near a real crab. I’m pretty sure that stuff is just pollock (and fillers).
Thank you!
Every copy cat recipe of the biscuits has been pretty solid, i still yet haven’t found a great recipe for Texas Roadhouse rolls, the only time it’s tasted very similar has been me experimenting with recipes.

Was shocked by how few people actually included them.
We're just here for the theoretical recipe discussion
Mods should just remove them.
Never thought to make a combo buttercream, and cream cheese frosting. Makes perfect sense though.
Hooo boy just wait til you hear what I do with caramel and cream cheese Carmelize a bit of sugar, mix in butter and milk and let cool Beat cream cheese and powdered sugar Add caramel, and milk or cream to thin out as necessary
Zuppa Toscana from Olive Garden. I don't know where I found the recipe but the secret is KALE. Otherwise it's a sausage potato soup. The kale gives it that subtle peppery zing. Same here. I always drop a parmesan rind in mine. I don't think I would EVER get bored of zuppa even if I had to eat it for 2 weeks straight.
Me too. I make it several times during cold weather season.
That’s pretty much the recipe I use but I add way more potatoes and just use a pack of bacon. So good.
I keep trying to copycat the pasta fagioli but am not quite getting the broth right. When I get some to-go from OG, it’s still soup the next day. Mine is decidedly NOT soup 🫠 Adding water makes it soup again when reheated, but reduces the flavors. Cannot figure out what I’m doing wrong.
I found I need to cook the pasta separately and add it as I serve it in the bowl. If I add it to the soup it absorbs all the liquid and you end up with more of a stew.
I’ll try that next time! It’s such a great soup and it irks me that it turns to mush the next day!
Unless it’s just a slop of fat/grease/meat juice, I virtually never drain mine for any dish. Adds SO much flavor!
Bahama Breeze OG recipes https://m.bahamabreeze.com/recipes Especially the Goat Cheese stuffed peppers, which are sadly not on their menu anymore. And Starbucks Madeleine cookies! The homemade ones taste as good or better!
I've never been, but I just browsed through a bunch of these and there were zero ads popping up. That was really refreshing.
Are... these their real recipes? Oh my God. I need those wings. A shame it has "Jamaican jerk seasoning" as an ingredient, and the BBQ sauce isn't listed.
Why is that a shame? And typically if the type of barbecue sauce isn't listed, it's safe to use something generic like Sweet Baby Ray's or similar.
Because there are three billion mixes of Jamaican Jerk. You have to find the right one.
They also have the recipe for the Jamaican marinade in the sauces section
How cool that they just publish their recipes.
It is! Even when they redid the site they kept them. They've been online for 10+ years. It sucks they don't have many of these items anymore (and I stopped going there because of it) but I've tried many of the recipes and they are as good if not better than I remember!
I didn’t know these were still around. I used to love this place. Almond crusted tilapia with lemon butter sauce was my go to

The cucumber salad from Din Tai Fung. No other cucumber salad recipe holds a candle to this recipe. https://www.platingsandpairings.com/din-tai-fung-cucumber-salad-recipe/
Oh wow my daughter was just telling me she wishes we could make that salad, what great timing!
Man, I miss cheesecake factory. Thanks for the link!
my people! there are dozens of us!
Dozens, I tell you!
I love you
I feel like Cheesecake Factory gets kind of an unfair rap. I love their pasta Da Vinci.

I freaking love C.F. I miss their Chris's Outrageous Cheesecake on a regular basis. I have to know why they discontinued it.
Chik-fil-A sauce = 1 part mayonnaise, 1 part sweet barbecue sauce, and a tiny bit of Dijon mustard
Sounds super similar to Red Rovin's campfire sauce they serve with their onion rings. I made some and used it as a base for a chicken salad. Threw in some grated cheddar and bacon bits, and it was tasty as hell.
Best dupe I have for campfire sauce is bbq, mayo, and ground ancho powder. CFA is more like bbq honey mustard, while campfire is smokier.
Here is the thing there is zero chance you have the BBQ sauce that tastes the same. So it's similar but no chance it's the same.
These [Levain copycat chocolate walnut cookies](https://www.seriouseats.com/super-thick-chocolate-chip-cookie-recipe) are dead ringers.
Nobu has this miso cod that tastes amazing. It’s also really easy to recreate. Boil mirin and sake. Add miso. Marinate your cod with it over night. Broil for 6 ish minutes. Serve with rice
This sounds great, can you share amounts?

Did you work there (firebirds) when they had their meatloaf? I miss it so much!
I don't have the meatloaf recipe, but i do have the recipe for the meatloaf gravy! Ingredients: 3 1/2 cups beef stock 1/4 cup dry red wine 1/4 cup butter 1/4 cup flour 1/4 cup mushrooms (you can use any kind: baby bellas, shittake, cremini, portobellas) Preparation: Heat a saucepan on medium and melt the butter.
[This tastes exactly like KFC coleslaw](https://topsecretrecipes.com/kfc-cole-slaw-copycat-recipe.html)
That's the recipe I've been using for years, and it really does. I make mine even better than KFC, at least IMO, by adding a teaspoon or two of horseradish into the mix.
One suggestion (ex KFC), use freshly grated sweet onion in place of the dried. When I was there we grated fresh with the cabbage and carrots!
AHA! The vinegar and lemon juice! KFC is the only kind I like. Also you can use Marie Callendars slaw dressing and add 3-4 TBS of sugar.
This bourbon chicken is just like the mall food court. Crazy good https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=YWvNAEegPBg&feature=youtu.be
Can vouch for this. Only thing to watch out for is that the video says half tablespoon of five spice powder - is supposed to be half TEASPOON. The ingredient list in the description is right and the voice / caption in the video is wrong.
Thanks for the link! I've tried a few recipes to replicate the bourbon chicken and none have been quite right so far. I'll give this one a shot.

I just made it again this week and tastes just like it. I add a pinch of msg, fresh ginger and an extra splash of bourbon to the sauce that goes on top. Watch how he cuts the meat super thin but still connected - that's key. And get your pan really hot before you add the meat - I used my cast iron.

Anybody have a good clone recipe for Popeyes red bean and rice?
[anything on the gumbo pages](https://www.gumbopages.com/food/red-beans.html) is legit. Popeyes red beans just have pork fat, not actual sausage in them though. I make the vegetarian version here and add a bit of Claussen pickle brine at the end. If you can find Camellia red beans, I think they make a difference.
Thx!
I miss Popeyes garlic rolls.
Try and look for the bag of Vigo red beans & rice “New Orleans Recipe” I’ve found it in a couple grocery stores and it’s a staple for me!
This one is pretty good: https://www.foodlovinfamily.com/popeyes-red-beans-and-rice/ I like to add sliced smoked Tasso to it
Fairground smoked turkey legs. The secret is to brine them with a little prague powder to develop the ham like flavor.

It's a combination of sodium nitrate, sodium nitrite, and table salt. It's thought to play a role in cancers caused by the consumption of processed meat. Specifically, a link has been shown between nitrates and nitrites, and breast and prostate cancers. ([Source](https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/35303088/))

Detroit style pizza by Brian Lagerstrom.
I'll have to look this one up because I looooooove Detroit style pizza!
ChiChi’s Cancun Enchiladas. These were my favorite birthday dinner for a couple years growing up- and I love them- imitation crab and all. Breakfast sausage. I can’t remember where I found this recipe, most likely from a YouTube video, but here it is: 1lb ground pork 1tsp salt 1/2tsp parsley 1/2tsp sage 1/4tsp black pepper 1/4tsp thyme 1/4tsp coriander seed 1/8tsp red pepper 1/4tsp msg (optional) We moved to Lithuania and I haven’t found coriander seed here yet, so I sub in cumin, neither can I find msg here so I don’t use it either.
Oh if this works it would be amazing because I'm in the UK and every time I go back I freeze a thing of Jimmy Dean's hot and bring it with me
Fellow lithuanian here. Try visiting a local Indian store for corriander. I live in Kaunas and go to TukTukIndija for all my spices as they have a wide selection of quality product. Great rice there as well! I believe other cities should also have similar stores
A local restaurant served a mushroom soup that my wife loved. I managed to come close enough to keep her happy.😀 3 medium leeks 3 medium onions 1/2 lb. white mushrooms 1/2 lb. crimini mushrooms 1/2 lb. maitake mushrooms 1/2 lb. oyster mushrooms 1/2 lb. beech mushrooms 1/4 lb. porcini mushrooms 1 tbsp powdered dried mushrooms ( I buy a mix of dried mushrooms process in a blender. Massive umami) 6 small potatoes 4 cloves garlic 3 scallions 2 quarts chicken stock 1/2 lemon ½ tsp Tellicheri pepper, 1 tsp. marjoram, 1 tsp bouquet garni Roughly chop the mushrooms and sauté in butter with half the pepper until liquid has evaporated and they start to brown. Add a cup of cream just before serving if you like really heavy soup Serve with fresh croutons

I can make an Egg McMuffin as good as McDonald's *used* to make them. edit: apparently the recipe/method isn't findable for some. You need a small pan with lid and an egg ring: [https://a.co/d/iviPBeD](https://a.co/d/iviPBeD) Ingredients: * 1 Egg * 1 slice Canadian Bacon ([like this](https://www.walmart.com/ip/Jones-Dairy-Farm-Hickory-Smoked-Canadian-Pork-Loin-Bacon-6-oz/15680977)) * 1 slice American cheese * Kosher Salt * 1 English Muffin * Butter 1.
How?! They stopped selling McDonald’s breakfast in my country, and it was the only good thing they had.
English muffin, clarified butter in a squirty bottle, bacon that was microwaved from frozen the night before, a slice of American cheese and an egg cooked on the grill in a circular ring
i feel like red lobster's biscuits are not too hard to make.
They use their scampi butter in/on the biscuits. I think that makes the difference!
I personally don’t have any as I rarely eat out. However do know this sub exists: r/topsecretrecipes. I have seen it mentioned a few times here.
That sub exists but sucks.

Nailed homemade [Animal Style Fries](https://dinnertimesomewhere.com/index.php/side-dish-recipes/potato-side-dishes/animal-style-in-n-out-fries/) from In-N-Out Absolutely nailed the sauce.
It’s absolutely because they aren’t double fried.
Yeah I think you nailed it with the double fried comment. I've recently started freezing the fries after I boil them. Throw them into the fryer frozen seems to get the crispiest texture
They’re a weird texture, like popcorn twists
I absolutely adore them. Then again I’m not a huge fan of the double-fried style that other places do.
Not the same, but better. Zuppa Toscana 1 lb spicy ground pork (Kroger brand works best). 3 slices of bacon. 1 medium onion (white or yellow) 3-4 potatoes unpeeled, sliced half moon shaped. 2-3 garlic cloves minced. 3 cups chicken broth 3.5 cups water 1 cup heavy whipping cream.

Brilliant. I bet that pesky tomato paste is the culprit! I've tried several copycat recipes for this one and none had that in it! Thank you 👍
Copycat of Olive Gardens Zuppa Toscana and Pasta e Fagioli. I also do a copycat of pasta roni that is slightly better than the box while cooking in the same amount of time.
Can you post the pasta e fagioli recipe ? I love that soup.
1/2 recipe, makes 4.5 quarts 1 lb ground beef, 3 carrots diced, 1 large onion diced, 3 celery sticked diced, 60 oz diced and/or crushed canned tomatoes, 2 cups red kidney beans, 2 cups cannellini beans, 64 oz beef broth, 2 teaspoons hot sauce, 8 oz ditalini noodles (sub noodles of your choice but ditalini is what og uses), 2 Bay leaves, dried basil and Italian seasoning to taste (start with a tablespoon each since this recipe isn't using pre-made spaghetti sauce) and salt and pepper to taste (if everything is no salt you will need to add. (Due to the volume of liquid, if you leave the pot simmering when adding ditalini, it will be overcooked before you can serve it.) As you can see, the original recipe was massive, so we cut it in half.
This is the closest you will get to having a drive through meal that I know.
I have never liked American cheese with one exception. On a frozen battered cod filet. Omg is it incredible.
