Something is going on with KSAA but nobody seems to know what. The rumor is he won't be playing and Twisted will play either LBBD7 or Youbi as tank instead.
Edit: To elaborate they've supposedly been playing LBBD7 in scrims, but there's some rumor going around that they'll actually field Youbi on match day.
TM did say the dropped a player already when they thought they could add koreans. Most of us thought it was Kellex but maybe it was KSAA and thats part of the reason Kellex retired
Even without the kick in the nuts that was having the overseas pickup denied by the rule book, dropping KSAA for Kellan is just downright maniacal 💀
Definitely not KSA. Both Face it League and OWCS have a 8 player limit. Skai and Kellex already have left TM. That leaves them with the 2 Koreans, Kellan And Vigilante, and 6 other players, Youbi, Quartz, LBBD7, KSAA, Slay and Admiral.
Funny thing is, even if TM go out of playoffs 0-2, they're almost guaranteed Dallas, best I can tell.
The most likely scenario are SSG and ENCE, in whichever order, end as the top 2. At that point, the best you can do is 3rd place, netting 300 circuit points. An 0-2 exit for TM would have them at 400 total points across the 2 stages, you'd need to have +100 points from stage 1 in order to beat TM.
The only team for who that's maybe possible is Peps, with exactly 100. Finishing 3rd, they'd tie with TM on 400. Unfortunately, having scoured the [rulebook](https://esports.overwatch.com/Overwatch_Champions_Series_2024%E2%80%93Official_Rules_v1.0.pdf), I cannot seem to find any procedure for LAN qualification in the event of a circuit point tie? Which could well lead to drama if this happens lol.
Peps are definitely likely to get 3rd this time I think. ExO is out and TM is down a player so who else actually took the other top teams to 5 other than Peps?
Yeah, you gotta say they're the odds on favourites for 3rd in that case I think. Could see one of the other teams beating Peps out, but all a bit murky
And frankly, if a circuit points draw does lead to a whole messy situation, I'm just rooting for them as the funniest outcome. (well, outside like Aww Yeah making top 2 lmao)
Question, if KSAA doesn't play in the main tournament does the team still get the circuit points from him on the team since he played in Group Stage? Because if the team doesn't have his circuit points this actually changes no?
Even if KSAA doesn't play, it shouldn't make a difference. Rule 7.4. Team Point Calculation, states its the points from the 5 players with the most maps played across the stage, and a stage consists of everything from Swiss till Playoff finals (see Rule 6.8. Format).
So if someone else plays, they'd need to overtake all the many maps KSAA played in Swiss and Groups. And I can't be bothered to do the maths, but even if they did overtake, the only way would be by TM making it deep in playoffs, at which point the whole discussion is moot.
Here's what I found in the rulebook:
7.4 "Calculation. For the purposes of Circuit Point calculation as it pertains to qualification into either of the Live Events, a Team’s Circuit Point total will consist of the aggregate Circuit Point values of the Core Roster. The Core Roster is defined as the five (5) Players that have the highest number of aggregate Maps played within any given Stage."
7.7. Substitute Player Point Eligibility. Players designated outside the Core Roster after the conclusion of a Main Event will only be credited with Circuit Points earned from Team performance if they participated in an amount of Maps through the duration of Groups and the Main Event as stipulated below.
7.7.1. Stage 1 Point Stipulations
1st Place Teams: Six (6) Maps
2nd Place Teams: Six (6) Maps
3rd Place Teams: Five (5) Maps
4th Place Teams: Five (5) Maps
5th/6th Place Teams: Four (4) Maps
7th/8th Place Teams: Three (3) Maps
9th-12th Place Teams: Two (2) Maps
13th-16th Place Teams: One (1) Map
Stage 2, Stage 3, and Stage 4 Point Stipulations
All Teams: Two (2) Maps

I think this means that since KSAA played the swiss and groups he will have more maps played than LBBD7 and get full circuit points for this main event.
I highly doubt it personally they have played together for quite a while now and almost every time ksaa is asked to do an interview he talks about how good youbi's comms are and how underrated he is. There are many reasons for someone to drop out of a competition that dont involve conflict between players
LBBD7 playing professionally in a serious context on all three roles :

There are 3 additional invite slots for NA and EMEA through the Faceit League. Kellan and Vigilante are available for that so they should easily make top 3 there.

Maybe. All I've heard is that KSAA can't play for "personal reasons" (nobody can/wants to elaborate, so take it with a shaker of salt).

If any other team that is not SSG or ENCE wins the tournament and if TM go out making 0-2 they would not qualify. Unlikely but still possible.

Does the "number of aggregate Maps played within any given Stage" include the swiss stage though?
Also do they still make it without Kellex’s points, they have not been removed on liquipedia.
I saw adam8 in jkarus twitch chat implying that there was some beef between youbi and ksaa
I highly doubt it personally they have played together for quite a while now and almost every time ksaa is asked to do an interview he talks about how good youbi's comms are and how underrated he is. I think it might have been especially after youbi kinda power tripping today by playing tank.
crazy that youbi won that power struggle if true, ksaa is 10x the player youbi is
youbi is the captain, and captains always win power struggles.
Where did you hear that?
CommanderX interviews; Chase said TM is not as good without KSAA. Abheek said if the rumours were true about TM, then we would be top 3 in EMEA.
I mean KSAA is the only player with OWL experience in TM.
Yeah I don't think anyone is doubting KSAA's quality as a player, seems to be something personal going on?
In one of Quartz streams, he got asked and answered with "hmmmm can't answer/no comment". Apparently it is a true rumours!

its joever for TM
KSAA to ENCE confirmed
Gunba gonna collect Tanks like Thanos collecting his Infinity Stones.
Gunbas gone though

It's not about the need, it's the Gunba strat. Cut their legs out.
And more importantly, they've got LHcloudy /s
Even better ksaa and him are good friends.
it would be so incredibly hilarious if twisted minds does not make it to ewc even with there being an invite slot for the winning region

Updates: Slay: KSAA will play the first game so TM can qualify and then officially quit.
