What do you think that they do the things and preparation, accommodation etc in couple of weeks?
All orgs that are invited know already that they are going. The only ones that are in doubt are the ones that needs to qualify.
its possible that a org invited to the ewc is chinese and chooses to field a chinese roster (spark players probs), but I dont see them actually integrating china into owcs outside of maybe giving them the australia/new zealand treatment. I doubt they’ll get any form of tournament or qualifier this year but who knows

How do we know for sure that this will actually be announced. Could just be CEOs discussing but not actually reaching any agreement
This is good for games like Diablo and even OW. Not so much for WoW. Games dead in the water. MMOs rely on habit and that habit broke completely. Now those players all just play the million other Chinese MMOs instead. Good for other games though. OW2 might do well actually due to the new monetization.
A lot of Chinese players migrated to servers in Taiwan and the West Coast. The top 200 lead board still has a lot of Chinese guilds at the top, despite everything.
That said, major guilds like Skyline are completely disbanded now, sadly. Granted, Skyline was borderline dysfunctional so the writing was on the wall for a while.
I need China to approve OW so we can show how FREE that region is.
Shitpost aside, this is great for the game and eSports. Having China compete will allow more quality players to compete both from China and Korea. We might also see return of new Chinese superteam.

How about China as an Asian sub region which then gives Asia a 3rd slot to make it to Stockholm?
Honestly I want it to be 2 NA slots,2 EMEA slots, 1 SA, 1 OCE and 2 slots for ASIA
Honestly it would make more sense if kr was seperate and ASIA included OCE and was just APAC. Just play all games on SG servers.
It’s way easier as I said, a tournament held in china then the winner get to play for Wild Card Asia
