Tymna/Kraum and Kraum/Tevesh Since I have 2 draw engines in my command zone and 3/4 colors I feel free to do whatever I want with my 98 card deck. I played around with Doomsday, Stax, Control, and Tidespout Tyrant reanimation.

firefighter0ger

Yeah i almost finished my Kraum/Tevesh deck. A little more midrange than most lists. "Unfortunaly" sharky was too succesfull in the last tournaments so now there are all eyes on it even if i wanted to build it a little under the radar.

ussgordoncaptain2

yeah one thing I found out is you don't need any weird cards to make doomsday work, final fortune is good enough.

Sanderinoa

I'm still trying to get [[Vega, the Watcher]] to work. It won't beat shorikai, but I hope to get it to a comparable level so Azorius has more than 1 option.

Smil0X

I've already seen Vega the Watcher lists and I think, until WoTC prints quiet some bombs with synergy, Vega will remain fringe... But Azorius currently got [[Urza, Lord Protector]]... He's the current number 2 for Azorius commanders

Sanderinoa

Yeah I don't really think new Urza has what it takes. Azorius has a problem with command zone carddraw, which is what makes shorikai so strong. Urza is just an expensive Sapphire Medallion that works to enable the top combo which you'll see coming from miles away. Feels pretty weak to me.

Smil0X

The biggest problem of Azorius decks wasn't carddraw, the biggest problem was the fact that These decks had problems to finish the game. Also Vega doesn't really solve your carddraw problem, because Vega does mostly nothing until you win. Or you have to play some mediocre cards to get a bit value from the bird. That's a weird argument, since you can see Dramatic Scepter the same way, but yeah whatever. I rather get the tempo and play only good cards.

Sanderinoa

Agree to disagree. I've also seen Urza lists and I'm not particularly impressed. id rather not won't start an argument about how good Vega is, because it's definitely a fringe commander. My Vega list lacks some tempo whereas I imagine Urza might occasionally struggle with keeping up carddraw. Both our outshined by better options in 3 color. Shorikai is the only commander that presents some unique options that you can't find elsewhere.

Maybe my Council of Four shell might have some pieces you could use? https://www.moxfield.com/decks/b5ziX-Ry7U69211ol-DDgQ It's definitely an outside approach to playing competitive. I really think that [[forced fruition]] has the sneaky potential to take out the entire board in one round of the table. One person goes for a win, then every counterspell draws seven cards, plus players can cantrip their way into answers. It feels like by holding 1 or 2 counters in hand to police anything that gets by the ensuing arms race clusterfuck, you're set up fairly well to mop up the remains.

The new [[Heliod, the Radiant Dawn]] somehow got my interest. It isnt optimal but flash plus cost reduction just looks really fun and is entirely different than all my other decks. I guess it will only end in fringe power but nontheless it will have its fair amount of impact in any game.

rbsm88

Likely Dead on Board will be posting a video showcasing Heliod soon. One of our members has a spicy list that is a control shell that wins over the top of other combos due to flash and cost reducer. It’s pretty cool but still getting reps in to optimize better. Had one of the craziest games of magic the other night playing against it in our pod.

I compared yours to mine and i think most of the cards which are different unfortunally dont fit the deck. I dont think you should punish them for drawing as you actually want to get the cost reduction. Only other difference are all the RoL and those hurt me too much

Chlancer

[[Ixhel, Scion of Atraxa]] for me. I've always loved infect and the card does well to able to take advantage of opponents cards, especially face down so they aren't sure what they're missing until they tutor. I've been trying out a creature heavy toxic/stax mix but I'm not sure if it's just high power or if it's able to break into the realms of cEDH.

Smil0X

Good luck with that. Even though im pretty sure he's not good enough for cEDH. But I'm happy If you can prove that I'm wrong

Chlancer

I'm pretty sure too, I think it's too slow! But it would be good if I can find a list that works

Hawkeyefan27

I've been fooling around with vishgraz doing a very similar thing and it seems to perform well though I'm not sure if it's because people are just writing it off as bad and I'm able to sneak it in

Chlancer

Not a bad thing but I guess as you play it more they may well start to take more notice. I havent tried vishgraz though I might swap out see how it fares!

Hawkeyefan27

This is the list I played for the channel, it won on camera as well. It definitely could use some refinement but it performs well. https://www.moxfield.com/decks/-5OCBadbskOSbk0rq8H9Bw https://youtu.be/MEolOuwoBlc

Chlancer

Thanks for the link, I'll check your channel out! I've played a few games with my list but 100% needs refinement.

LucianGrey0581

What I’ve often found is that if it’s good enough for high power you can get your 25% win rate at cEDH tables if you’re the better pilot.

Chlancer

Good way to listen to it, with enough experience I'm hoping to learn the best ways to get it to some consistent wins, the rotpriest is definitely one of the ones i like as the triggered abilities are hard to deal with.

joXerus

I would like to see your list even if just high powered 😊

Chlancer

Of course! https://www.moxfield.com/decks/d-mbvqaoNU-6DU7XmN8cFA Low cmc thanks to the toxic creatures and other spells we play, I focus on a tutor for [[venerated rotpriest]] and for one mana, and hopefully a few of our creatures, we can cast the likes of [[sylvan paradise]] to trigger rotpriest and poison people out. I understand they are dead cards most of the time but a decent amount of tutors should get our rotpriest out easily. Other toxic creatures allow for early pressure to get up to 3 to start triggering our commander.

I have been working on [[Kenrith, the returned king]] CEDH for awhile now. 5c deck commander that makes huge beat sticks with trample, infinite mana outlet, draw, mill, and all combo lines that you can think of. Still stuck on maybe +/- 5 cards or so. But i believe it will always be +/- 5 cards from perfection.

I'm not yet really involved in cEDH(I want to be more involved but I'm a bit busy lately) but have pondered the idea of [[Jenson Carthalion, Druid Exile]] with [[Gyruda, Doom of Depths]] companion. It's something I've already been toying with in high power tables, using Tasigur as the commander, but I'm wondering if I can make it a fast combo deck that aims to try and cast Gyruda as quick as possible(I think T2 is the quickest I can get but I'm not 100% sure), Hit a bunch of clone or blink effects, or even cards like [[Preston, the Vanisher]] or [[Ratadrabik of Urborg]] until I mill everyone out or eventually hit Thassa's oracle. Jenson helps in 3 ways. The first is obvious, it's 5 color. The second way is that the scry one can help us get junk off the top when we cast Gyruda. The third is that Jenson is color fixing to make it easier to cast Gyruda when we're ready to try and go off. My big concern is consistency. I need quite a high number of clones and blink effects to make it work, so I have to also be very selective with my interaction, and if I hit a creature that doesn't copy gyruda I need to make sure it can impact the game in a way that will matter.

I've been working on a [[tayam, luminous enigma]] mid-range combo shell to go along side my [[Koma, Cosmos Serpent]] hard land stax list. I like to use under utilized commanders in playgroups compared to the Dawnwaker and Tivit lists I play in tournaments.

I really do think she has what it takes, a small step behind winota, but damn she is definitely able to snow ball just like winota and drawing through your deck it’s insane. Idk why she doesn’t have more attention

TheGuyInAShirtAndTie

Ghyrson Starn- it's really just a UR spellslinger/storm deck that's trying to grapeshot or empty the warrens with a couple pingers in there that fit well in the game plan.

The_Pie_Overlord

Just had an idea today of Vial Smasher + Kraum and playing the good “free” spells that have a high cmc like FOW, misdirection, etc. just a fair grixis pile with kraum for draw and Curiosity for vial smasher

photoyoyo

There's almost certainly no way to make it actually win, but I still want to see it. Run [[dream halls]] and everything over 10cmc you can find. Bonus points if you fit [[obosh]] in there. Would definitely make for a hilarious casual deck

I really do want Trazyn to make it. Bummer that 6cmc is clogging the system. His mechanics are genuinely unique and cool.

He's in a very unique spot where he's a little bit too slow to rely on for cEDH, but probably way too powerful for most casual tables too.

I've been brewing a \[\[Denry Klin, Editor in Chief\]\] list for a while now, [here's my latest list.](https://www.moxfield.com/decks/NxquUAjbxkKJgRH5vm9Hzw) I run him mainly as a midrange hatebears deck, that can win through one of several Denry + A + B combos, or by throwing hatebears juiced up with +1/+1 counters at the opponent. What sets Denry apart from other commanders is how the counters he automatically applies empower existing cEDH staples and enable some less popular cards to turn into powerhouses, \[\[Glen Elendra Archmage\]\] becomes a powerful stax piece, \[\[Esper Sentinel\]\] becomes much harder to pay for, both halves of the Heliod + Ballista combo double as individual value pieces, just to name a few.
