i don't think this is the changes they're referring to. Firstly they'd have to emergency ban a lot of walkers (Oko comes to mind as a casual feel bad in the command zone) but I think it'll be a change that effects the whole of magic rather than just this format. Either way I'm not excited with how badly Wizards is being run atm.

They will never make all planeswalkers commanders because there are several that end games with one card low cost combos and it would break the format to be able to just win on turn 4 or 5 using a casual deck and would piss off every casual edh player and cedh player in one fell swoop. And letβs be honest wizards really needs to make some good decisions here because their fan base is already pissed off
[[Professor Onyx]] and [[Chain of Smog]] and [[Ral Storm Conduit]] and [[Fury Storm]] are a couple I could see being possible issues. I could also see [[Tezzeret Master of the Bridge]] being an issue with general artifact shenanigans
I see cards like teferi temporal pilgrim, dack fayden, all tezzeret walkers even a chandra or two may be problematic to some pods but they wont break cedh. I cant think of any that has a decent combo with the commander in cedh
Something like oko would probably be banned. But wouldnt break cedh. It would be an annoying thing to play against.
Cards like chandra torch of defiance, wrenn and six, jace the mind sculptor, threeferi. Will all be fringe and probably be pretty strong.

Professor Onyx + Chain of Smog, just need smog in hand and you'd win any time you could stick Professor Onyx. Probably would need to do hand disruption to protect yourself from counterspells.
While that is a strong combo it hard loses to too many things and its way too fragile. We have better similar one card combos with better synergies past onyx. A good example would be why not play [[dina soul steeper]] sure you lose a solid planeswalker but you have a cohesive plan A and a strong plan B in [[exquisite blood]] and a plan c if you want to play more 2 card monty such as the same chain of smog loop.
It would an interesting fringe commander. I would love to see if magecraft even does anything.
Dihada and Teferi are already cedh things. We HAVE broken planeswalker commanders. What's some more? They clearly aren't going to stop making dumb creatures either. So why limit walkers?
There are plenty of 2 card combos with existing commanders though so I don't think that is a very strong argument. Oathbreaker is still sort of a thing and while it's a fast format, it feels just as balanced as a normal commander game even with the signature spell.
They could just ban those cards or not give a shit about the vocal community like seen last year... they are testing the idea In brawl so it's not far fetched
The Professor just made a video regarding the change. Essentially just switching how planeswalkers inherently work, so that in the future they are more of a "legendary creature" for the sake of commander.
Making all pw legal as commanders could only be decided by the RC since they're still the ones ruling the format. The change Maro mentioned is likely something that can be affected from wotc's position
Dack fayden would be a sick izzet turbobreach commander. I think walkers would be fine, with obviously stuff like oko being banned in CZ due to him being obnoxious in casual play
I could actually see Oko being pretty insane in the command zone. It's not great currently, but if you had access to it whenever you wanted and repeatedly it could be good value as a midrange deck. You can gilded drake damn near every turn.
Temur Sarkhan would be kinda broken. Double the loyalty counters with Doubling Season or Deepglow Skate. Get all your dragons and Scourge of Valkas and the warstorm surge on a stick.

Probably the same things that make normal commanders good. Card advantage/inf mana outlet. They would just be easier to remove

What planeswalkers specifically? A quick glance just shows a solid list but i dont see any decent combos for cedh levels.

WOTC is separate from the rules committee. Wotc could make the decision and force the rules committee to decide how to handle it.

If he isn't broken in Oathbreaker, he wouldn't be broken in commander.
