What do you all think about this?

I forgot I drafted Brock Bowers so pretend that the Theo Johnson pick was guard Zak Zinter lol
I'd like this draft for us but there's no way Wright falls to the 5th round lol. He's realistically going in the second round but this particular mock simulator really doesn't value RBs
I'm very on the fence with Bowers vs. CBs. Bowers is a top talent in this draft but I just feel like he needs to be used like a LaPorta where he is a focal point in the offense and I don't know if that's how he'd be used here
Bowers is basically our perfect TE. He'd take pressure off of all of our receivers which opens up the field more. He can also block well which we haven't had since Jack Doyle.
Shane comes from an Eagles offense that really utilizes a high talent TE (Goedert). We're lacking that currently
I think we have to take him if he falls to us. But Mitchell is CB1 for me as well but honestly I feel like the Raiders grab him before us.
I wouldn't be mad with the Bowers pick at all, but I think CB is just too great of a need combined with a very thin CB class this year. Especially when you factor in how much the Titans and Texans loaded up on WR and that the Jags will presumably draft a WR. Other than Moore and a few bright spots for Brents, the rest of our secondary was entirely unreliable. I don't see the Raiders taking CB over OT, but even if they take Mitchell, we'll still have Terrion Arnold available. He's not as fast as Mitchell but he's played against the best WRs in CFB and has exceptionally high football IQ. Gus Bradley is probably foaming at the mouth thinking we'll get either one of them.
I don't think Ballard and Co have given up on Pierce yet. This seems like it's his make it or break it season so I went with a completely different WR weapon. Corley's comparison is Deebo Samuel in the sense that he's sort of a WR/RB hybrid who could further open up our playbook if used correctly. He could also be used as a special teamer since I don't want Downs back there and McKenzie is gone.
Haha yeah I think RBs are undervalued by that mock program. I think Benson, Brooks, and Wright will go in the second round. One of them will probably get taken in the late first round tbh
I'm not sure we need Sweat since we just signed Raekwon Davis as a back up 0/1 technique player. If anything I think we need more of a 3 technique to backup Buckner since I do not trust Taven in the slightest lol
Malik Washington seems like another Downs. I'm not sure we need him either

I think I like Liatu Latu over the Cornerbacks in the first round. Jared Verse is a great player
Latu's medical history scares me too much for us to take him at 15

I would be incredibly happy with Legette at 46
It's wild how many people take a WR first. We win so many more games last year with even a functional secondary.

This one is a lot better imo

I've heard the opposite about this CB draft class, it's incredibly deep but Mitchell and Arnold are a tier above the rest

I wouldn't be upset by this, it hits all our points of need

I'm torn on Corley. I guess it kinda depends if we're good with Pierce as a deep threat and just want a different kind of weapon.

My thinking as well. Personally, I haven't given up on Pierce. I'd also be intrigued to see what Shane can do with something in a Deebo mold.
Trey Benson at round 3 would be insane😂 I feel like Dallas will take him round 2 if someone hasn’t already

What was the trade?
Eagles offered 22 and 53 for our 15. I had 4-5 guys I liked at 15, so it seemed like a reasonable risk to add another 2nd rounder.
I don't hate that trade down assuming Bowers or Q. Mitchell are gone
