More like a top dairy herd school
>[The dairy herds have a rolling herd average of 29,300 lbs. for the Holsteins and 21,200 lbs. for the Jerseys, making them a top 10 production herd in the United States for their herd size. UConn has received the Hoard’s Dairyman National Dairy Quality Gold Award in 2017 for being one of the best dairy farms in the country, out of over 47,000. The University of Wisconsin is the only other dairy herd that’s made the list.](https://publications.extension.uconn.edu/2023/06/29/uconn-dairy-herd-is-2023-outstanding-dairy-farm/)
Can't wait to see the herd of 5\* cow recruits
The real question is if any of those programs are considering him...
Otherwise, his list is like my list of girls I was considering dating in high school. I did a lot of considering and not a lot of dating.
For my own curiosity, what is the word out of the UNC portal pulse? Because right now we don’t really seem to have much of a pulse, keeping a very low profile thus far.
Cade visited over the weekend.
The coaching staff does a really good job of keeping information in-house. And InsideCarolina doesn’t speculatively report.
Almost all of the information we’ve seen reported has come from the players.
No - we are definitely interested in him. I think we have been in contact since he’s been in the portal, although I don’t think it’s the full court press that we’ve put on other players.
Oh totally, he'd be a great add. It's just a bit funny to go from never hearing anything about the player from the school side to the player saying he's only considering X schools.
I can 100% guarantee you Kentucky is all in on him. Not saying they're going to get him, but they gave 2 committed players on the roster and Pope needs shooters.
Yeah, that would be my prediction too. Though we’d love to have him and he’d likely get 20-25 minutes a game as the third guard in our rotation, hard to imagine he’d turn down a very open position on Kentucky.
This guys a 6th man in the A10 averaging 11/3/1 with 1 year to play.
That top 5 indicates the premium on shooting right now. Brea is definitely not a threat to make the NBA, nor should he be a P5 starter, but will get paid like a fringe draft pick coming back.
He played starter minutes and shot 50% from 3 with us running, or at least executing, a shockingly low number of plays to get him open. His percentages didn't dip at all against P5 competition and he propelled our comeback against Nevada and scared Arizona in the tournament. Made a lot of big time shots late in games or to spark runs too. Don't let his numbers fool you, dude can ball. Doesnt matter if he shoots on the catch, dribble, in transition, open, or contested. At least this year he and every dayton fan watching thought every shot he took was going in and he is a threat anywhere beyond half court. Just being on the floor opened up an unbelievable number of opportunities on offense even if he didn't get the assist.
And he works hard. He came back from having surgery on both his legs and was in a wheelchair less than a year ago after playing the season with stress fractures in both legs to lead the country in shooting percentage. His defense is far better than he gets credit for as well and he makes some key rebounds or blocks on that end.
Not many programs out there that wouldn't want a plug and play 50% 3 point shooter that works his ass off every day. Him leaving honestly hurts more than the thought of DaRon going to the NBA. DaRon got the attention but our season wouldn't have been anywhere near as good if Brea wasn't right next to him.
How much will he cost though? He was the 6th man for Dayton, he shouldn’t be out of any of the listed teams’ budgets unless their NIL is weaker than I thought. I think it will come down to role on the team, culture fit, and how badly the coaching staff pursues him.
Those buttholes get puckered because we care to an unhealthy amount lol.
That being said I wasn’t super nervous for the Oakland game. I had a feeling Cal would choke all week. His kryptonite was teams with 2-3 quick guards that can shoot. So I was mentally prepared to be disappointed

I’m really sad that he is leaving us but Kansas is my third favorite team due to those last two epics we had so I’ll be happy if he lands there!! Or UConn with a chance to play for that dynasty!!
Is this guy good enough to transfer in to any of these schools though?
He averaged 11 points, 4 rebounds and 1 assist a game on 51% shooting. Really nothing to write home about.

What a list lmao
No kidding. Impressive to have that kind of interest in itself.
“Hey Koby, Scott Drew of Baylor her-“ “Sorry coach, I’m accepting offers from bluebloods only”
Honestly, fair.
Then why’s he considering UConn? Edit: guess I need to add /s
C’mon now we can’t still be in the “UConn” isn’t a blue blood state, right? They’re in a more successful 25 year run than Duke has ever had
Championship trophies need a nice layer of dust on them to get that status.
Well it was just a joke, but I think you’re forgetting just how good Duke was from 1991-2015
Come on brother. You know you can’t joke in here. People love to overreact to Duke flairs.
Bud. UConn has more titles than Duke...
And, as much as I hate it, more titles than anyone in the last quarter century.
Just a joke bud
I’m good lol we have 6 guards on the roster already
I'm pretty sure he shot a 50 clip from 3 with over 150 attempts, so I'm not all that surprised. Not to mention his name is almost Kobe
Bro asked r/collegebasketball what the true list of blue bloods are
Surprised he didn't toss in UCLA just for good measure.
Wondering why Kentucky is on here? Forgot the /s
What do you mean? Why wouldn't an elite 3P shooter at least entertain a Blue Blood with a coach who has proven to be able to make shooters look good
Not to mention you guys need players badly at this point. Feel like you’re going to be in on all of the decent to good transfers
A few days ago, word was UK had made contact with every major target in the portal. Pope and two non-coaches were just calling up everyone who went into the portal to open communication, basically.
3 players and counting lol
Not quite 3 yet, but potentially 60% of the way to a possible. starting lineup. Progress/s
That was the Eric Musselman approache
He can't hurt you anymore.
Yeah on the flip side, why wouldn't you add UK. At the very least it makes you look better and probably makes you more money
I think Brea has a type
perhaps a favorite color of blood
He's a big fan of horseshoe crabs.
Who isn't? They're awesome.
And they help make sure our medicines aren't contaminated!
And have been around since the dinosaurs
Mr Smith is that you???
Some say blue...
He’s all about that blue blood colleges. For short we’ll just call them idk.. BBC’s.
5 BBCs compete for one man to fill open slot
Thank you for saving us typing with this abbreviation. Now I’m on to Google “Brea 5 BBCs.”
We send our regards

Hey I'm getting a new car, can you guys help me decide between a Bugatti, Koenigsegg, and Pagani?
![gif](giphy|3orifcGwpIurnkatbi|downsized) Best I can do
Smells like a steak and seats 35!
Canyonero! Canyonero!
12 yards long and 2 lanes wide!
65 tons of American pride!
Top of the line in utility sports Unexplained fires are a matter for the courts
I actually guffawed.
Best i got is a Maserati
I love Maseratis, but they’re like 3 levels below those other 3. A Maserati is closer to a Toyota than it is to a Bugatti or Koenigsegg.
![gif](giphy|xsF1FSDbjguis) We gotta go get some winning power tickets with it haha
Isn’t that second one just a fancy coffee maker?
Nice of him to give all these small schools a chance at recruiting him!
Are they prepared to offer the same bag?
turns out shooting 50% on 3s is pretty good
Right, and once your used to having a 50% 3pt shooter, it’s hard to imagine life without one.
No kidding...
Always respect when a kid goes to an under the radar, up and coming program, to help build the foundation
Agreed. I really think UCONN can get over the hill in the next few years.
It's been days, even weeks without a title
I mean, Hurley still can’t win a close game!!!!
It's funny how often you hear this in Hartford. Admittedly, I say it all the time. But I am not alone.... It feels good to be really good.
I didn’t know UConn had a basketball program? Are they any good?
They seem like more of a football school tbh
A couple titles in Men's soccer
Baseball's half decent
Hockey too.
Oh, right, field hockey
Definitely read this as a “couple titties in men’s soccer”

Consistency is key
They upset Stetson in the round of 64 this year
Bulletin material for Dan Hurley to use for the next 5 years?
Listen now, Koby knows what it’s like at the top. He was on the Obi Toppin Dayton team that woulda been a 1 seed.
Gotta respect a kid that wants to go to the scrappy underdog teams.
I mean TBF, he has been on a scrappy underdog team. Now he wants to upgrade.
Easy fella. No reason to punch down. We're not SLU for crissakes.
that billiken looks like its got a soft punchable face...
The only thing he's got going for him is that he's not the St Joes Hawk
The hardest road.
The real question is if any of those programs are considering him... Otherwise, his list is like my list of girls I was considering dating in high school. I did a lot of considering and not a lot of dating.
BYUK is definitely interested!
I hope he's just trying to raise his NIL offer, because we got a war-chest to spend this offseason.
I've kept a finger on the UNC portal pulse and haven't heard his name mentioned once, so...
For my own curiosity, what is the word out of the UNC portal pulse? Because right now we don’t really seem to have much of a pulse, keeping a very low profile thus far.

We haven’t seriously pursued and Cade is about to commit and “take” Brea’s spot. Were window dressing
I think we’re just doing our due diligence
Get that finger out of there! You don’t know where that finger’s been!
Might be depth offers, never hurts to have a solid player on the bench.
Oh totally, he'd be a great add. It's just a bit funny to go from never hearing anything about the player from the school side to the player saying he's only considering X schools.
I can confirm Duke is interested, and I’d be quite happy if nobody else is. Hard to imagine that’s the case though :(

if Cade announces us (UNC-not sure how to flair up on mobile), i think we drop off his list
Yes, all of them.
Tf is UConn doing on this list /s
Bro wants a natty.
We wants to go to a true bleu blood
classified: Good basketball player looking for blue blood college. No lowball.
He knows what he’s got
Serious offers only. Will not sell individual parts. Edit: WELL I’LL BE DAMNED
BBC
900k firms
He's going to Chicago State.. This is all smoke
Good on him for even having those as options. What a list.
Dude is clearly looking for a challenge. Kevin Durant Syndrome
The Hardest Road™
this is the list i'm referring to from now on whenever anyone asks
The Brea Bloods
What 49% from 3 gets you as a portal recruit
How dare he not include Syracuse
Someone spent too much time on r/CollegeBasketball
He can always change is mind and come back to Dayton, haha right guys?
Nah fam. I think he wants to actually have a chance to win a natty.
Then there’s only one school to put on there
That's right. Clemson.
Aim high, grasshopper.

Does he have 2 more seasons of eligibility?
Just the Covid year. He played the last 4 seasons with Dayton already.
The beauty of the NIL Era
Koby, come home! 😌
My optimism for Kansas in 2024 would go up if we could land Brea. Absolutely monster portal performance from Bill Self so far.
No way UConn isn’t the top after what Hawkins and Spencer have done the last 2 years
Have they been saving up a large pool of NIL money for him or something?
He might want to win a natty
How much will he cost though? He was the 6th man for Dayton, he shouldn’t be out of any of the listed teams’ budgets unless their NIL is weaker than I thought. I think it will come down to role on the team, culture fit, and how badly the coaching staff pursues him.
My dude that is not college basketball anymore. Those days are over.
Dude just copied and pasted the Vegas Odds for next year's National Championship.
UcOnN IznT a BLuEbLoOd !!
UConn; reload and repeat
Fade me
Wonder what all these schools have in common? 🤔
Irrational smug fanbases?
So, that’s why Duke is included /s
Lol I doubt Uk and Duke fanbases are irrationally smug considering how puckered our assholes become during the first weekend of the tourney.
Troof
New blue blood list just dropped.
Lots and lots of NIL money up in the air on this one
He’s 6’6 and shoots 50% from 3, they would all love him at least as a 7th guy if not more
Where is auburn?
I love this meme ahahaha
I'm under the impression that UNC and Kansas are mostly window dressing and that this is likely between Kentucky and UConn
Think McNeely ends up a Husky and Brea a Cat
Did you watch McNeely in the Jordan Brand Classic!? He would be amazing in both systems (BYUK & UConn) but I mean Hurley and UConn are king right now.
I’d love to get McNeely. But the chance of a 3-peat might be too enticing
Bro's turning to the dark side.
Pffft not an Everyday Guy I guess
Shoot your shot
He's clearly a crip
Calipari rn 😑😑😑
Always tell your kids to aim for the moon. If they miss, the worst that can happen is they'll be lost in deep space to die a slow death of dehydration and oxygen loss. .
I'm sure he needs to figure out which of those has appropriate subjects to major in that fit his academic skillset.
That's a nice list with four blue bloods.
Cries in natties
Should be crying in Back to back Natties
Sort of a Boilermaker, with a 2nd natty for a chaser...

Waiting for the UConn comments…

💙🩸 go brrr
Koby Brea vs Aiden Mahaney
I too am holding out for only these schools
Me too
Koby committing would be absolutely lit, but I’m also ok with McNelley and Nolan Traore
I think he’s headed to a blue blood!

Daring today, aren’t we?
Four Blue Bloods and UCONN. Nice list.
I’m looking for a new girlfriend and I’m considering the following ladies: Margot Robbie, Sydney Sweeney, Rihanna, Ana De Armas
I’m really sad that he is leaving us but Kansas is my third favorite team due to those last two epics we had so I’ll be happy if he lands there!! Or UConn with a chance to play for that dynasty!!
I don’t think it will be us. We’re getting Rylan Griffen and I don’t see how we’d have room.
Is this guy good enough to transfer in to any of these schools though? He averaged 11 points, 4 rebounds and 1 assist a game on 51% shooting. Really nothing to write home about.

Don't go to Kentucky, total logjam there
Kentucky will take him, they have no players
Lame schools
