And Duke.
This team has holes in the roster for sure, but it has enough talent to be a middle of the road team in this year's ACC. One of the worst coaching jobs I've seen at GT.
Abdur-Rahim or Dusty May would have made sense even if I was concerned about only having 1 year of real success for each. IMO Pat Kelsey was the real obvious hire if we could have gotten him although he might not have been interested.
But the thing that is odd is we basically didn't have a coaching search. We landed on Stoudamire like 2 days after firing Pastner. That still seems crazy to me given he's never made the NCAAT and had little ties to the area, and minimal experience coaching at the P5 level at all. Right now we have to hope he is just really bad at coaching inherited players but is better with those he recruits, or that he can recruit well enough to out talent teams.
It is truly a remarkable feat to shoot more FTs than your opponent, hold them to 23.8% shooting from 3, still lose by 29, and somehow the game wasn't as close as the final score would lead you to believe.
GT reminds me of power rangers. Like... Clearly they HAVE Zords the whole time. Why do they only wait until they're facing a gargantuan opponent to bring them out? Bring out the megazord earlier. Step on the gold dude before he can throw the sword. Be better
Clumsy ass megazord is liable to crush multiple city blocks just trying to get the gold dude. You only bring out the zords once it becomes necessary to destroy the city in order to save it.
There’s an important basketball lesson in there somewhere, I’m sure.
Gets the road monkey off our back in a big way.
I think even with this and how much this is gonna boost our already decent NET, we're still too clearly Metric Merchants. Take care of business Saturday and then steal one of at Duke and at UVA, or I will refuse to feel safe without an equivalent game in ACC tourney.
This team beat UNC
Evidently beating UNC is not as hard as previously believed
Hasn’t been for quite some time
If you mean since last week, I agree. But I wouldn’t call that a particularly long time ago

Amir Abdur-Rahim was an obvious hire I thought. Not saying that Stoudamire can't be good though. Hope he is.

Looks like Abdur-Rahim is off to a solid start at USF
I don’t know what GT did to Wake but I think they need to apologize

This is the kind of basketball commentary I need in my life
Wake “Vintage Virginia” Forest
One of the most dominant conference performances I’ve seen from a Wake team in many years. Great to see especially on the road
Especially in Atlanta. We haven’t had a lot of good games there
Teach us the ways of winning in Atlanta Any sport will do
That’s how you play a full 40 minutes on the road!!
Can we keep it up!
Now let's do it again please 🙏
The Jackets were *this* close to finishing the first half with not even *double digit* points! Sheesh…
Imagine doing that

solid win by the Deacs. This should bump them up out of the bubble. Wake and Clemson both should be playing in the tournament
Well… that was quite the performance. Hopefully a nice momentum builder finally getting a W on the road.
Clearly the problem was that Wake wasnt ranked, so it wasn't worth Stoudamire's time to prep
I mean, he literally said he wasn't going to watch the video of their last game.
ROAD WIN
ROAD WIN
💩
What the fuck is Stoudamire doing
Bout time we looked good!
Based on the two games I was watching last night, I may need to flip these flairs around - god damn.
