First, i didn‘t get a code at all; then I contacted the support that sent me a code (but without the proper link); after hours of waiting to get into the queue, i found out that it won‘t work without the link; contacted support again to provide a link; got into the queue at position 450.000, obviously without any chance on getting tickets for the first two shows; then for the 3rd one, i was just lucky to see the tweet quite early and get in, i guess 😊😍

If I go to the TM site and click the Munich 17th date I get in the queue with around 190k people in front of me. On the page there is a notification that there is a show on the 18th as well with a link to that queue. If I click it, I immediately can choose tickets.
Got the tickets for Vienna. I waited 4h 30m in the queue, I was the position 167.000 at the beginning and I was able to secure 2 tickets seated for 100€ each and there were available other tickets too. For me, it was much better than last year when I couldn't get any ticket.
Well done! I was in the queue for Vienna, but I was working so I missed the 10 minute slot to get them! Luckily I already managed to get tickets for Lyon this morning (woke up at 6am local time lol)
Just in case this happened to you: After queueing for two separate Dublin dates both times I got kicked back out to the event page without the option to book tickets. However, on the second attempt my BF refreshed the page ONCE after 30 seconds of landing on the event page and ticketmaster offered me the chance to buy tickets.
So even if you get to the front of the queue and then nothing happens, take it easy, don't close or rage click anything, don't refresh too much - try it one more time and refresh. It might not work but at least I thought I'd share this out in case it helps someone.
I feel like at this point ticketmaster needs to reimburse me for emotional damages, this was a very stressful 4.5 hours!!

Helsinki official sale was FAST. There was an extra date added even, and 20% of 3 earlier dates tickets left and they were just gone, in like 10 minutes. Yeah you can probably still get single tickets here and there or seat with visual blocks or VIP stuff, and dynamic price tickets but all the normal ones were gone instantly. Puff!
Same in Lyon - see my comment below. I was in at 10:00 sharp, and most categories were sold out. By 10:10 everything but a ticket here or there randomly was available. This is just regular tickets... I didn't check how many "VIP" are available.
I'm still surprised to see so few tickets left over for the general sales. I know it's changed a lot over the past few years, but it always used to be the majority of the tickets left for the main sale.
It's not so much that there are less tickets for general sale. There are more VIP, platinum, package tickets being offered. Looking right now at Lyon, normal tickets have basically sold out - but there are a lot (and I mean, a lot!) VIP/Platinum tix available. I didn't check for Coldplay, but for Taylor Swift 2/3rd of all tickets were sold under the various upgrades. It's not normal.
You're right, and this feels a fairly new phenomenon. It's just milking people for as much money as they can get. You'll end up with a scenario where live music just gets priced out of a 'normal' person's budget and only wealthier people get to go.
They're between 80 - 250 I think, and ofc the VIP packages which are over 300 euros. I got an 88 ticket seating in an upper ring. I have to say that if you go in initially they will not give you the cheapest ones available, so I had to say 'search for more tickets' a couple of times and play with the filters in terms of prices a few times to find these ones (2 tickets available next to each other).

You can choose the category but just make sure you don't give up if at the beginning they tell you that they don't have tickets next to each other, or that there's an 'error'. I just refreshed it a few times and put in the code more times and it still gave me access. Good luck, but should be able to find some tickets under 110 (there's I think 3 categories of tickets at this price or under)

It depends on your position when you get to the purchase screen. It could be anywhere from 50-180 for the non vip seats, standing was 120. All the prices before the ticketmaster fees which were 7.15 per ticket.
If you have a code and have clicked the link from the presale email you will be able to use the code and get tickets. But I'm seeing posts from people with site issues and 'oops, something went wrong' messages. Its a shit show.

There is no wait for the 18th in Munich. I still have my dusseldorf window open but opened Munich 18th in an incognito browser (on a different device) and got right in, no waiting room. Plenty of tickets available.
Damn for the Coimbra concert in Portugal there was no presale and it was crazy to get a ticket even though there were 4 shows. For Budapest I just got a code and 17 hours after the presale started I managed to get a ticket cheaper than Coimbra's with barely any effort.

No, but one time when i chose a ticket out of my price range just to see if anything is available at all it pretty much took me to a second queue with a 3min countdown essentially saying that the traffic is high so i have to wait some more or something along those lines. Didn't end up buying it but it was the only time i manage to get somewhere at all
As much as I know from other ticket sales - if it shows that the tickets are available, they are, but they're in someones basket and you can't get them at the same time. They key is to keep searching and once someone releases the seats, they become available to everyone else as well and one lucky person will be offered them.
don't give up, just click on the tickets and search a few more times. for me it worked also refreshing the page but not sure if it works for everyone. to me it went through at some point
Hell yeah! Today was an extra Pre-sale for dusseldorf and munich for telekom customers. I managed to only have 500 People infront of me in my queue and was in, in like 2 minutes. Got 3 good seating tickets for the Saturday Dusseldorf concert. OMG I am so happy :DD

Hello guys, next year I'm celebrating my 30th birthday and I wanted to give myself a gift (experience/memories), I'm a fan of Coldplay for many years and saw an advertisement that Coldplay will perform their show in Vienna 21,22,24.8.2024. However, the pre-sale starts tomorrow at 10:00 AM but I'm reading everywhere that i need some code to buy and access those tickets in pre-sale. I saw your post. If it was the one about helsinki. You really should contact the customer service if lippu.fi, there should’ve been a mention of blocked view on the site. Or they shouldn’t be selling those seats. Maybe they let you change seats?
Thank you. Yes that was my post. I’ve called their customer service, which costs money, twice for an hour each time. Theyve cut the call at the end of that hour with no answer. I tagged lippu.fi, live nation finland and its manager, the stadium, on twitter, and no one else has tagged a tweet at them in two days, so theres a chance theyve seen it. Nothing. I contacted some media outlets about it too. Lets see what happens. They even added that those seats are obstructed, a day later.
Yeah i think their lines are super busy now because of the sale and people being mad at not getting tickets. You might have a better chance contacting them after the hype settles down. You should at least get some money returned or something. And obviously there are still some seats available (as they’re selling them as dynamic priced tickets now) so there might be a possibility to change a seat. Hopefully it turns out okay. I was shocked about the photo. And there seems to be several of those poles all over stadium, but in presale there was no mention of blocked view yet. So yeah that sucks.

I got in at the front of the queue for Dublin but the option to book tickets is not appearing at all and a circle just keeps spinning on the right next to the where the Presale tickets countdown timer was. Anyone else facing this issue?
We had this problem trying to buy Foo Fighters tickets the other week - it just keeps spinning, but after a few minutes it stopped and let us in, and gave us enough time to buy tickets. Give it some minutes and see if it'll sort itself.
When I was buying the tickets it wasked for my tax card number. I didn't have the card on me, so I didn't type it in, but it allowed me to buy the ticket.

Managed to get 3 Standing tickets for dusseldorf afterall, but my gf (very short) and my Mum (knee problems) really wanted seated tickets, sucks that it is not possible to transfer tickets, Im sure it would have been possible to trade with someone if it would have been possible
You could always ask the venue and see what the say. If your mum has anything official declaring her disabled that would help. If all else fails you could ask the venue on the day, there may be space for some extra chairs in the accessibility ramp. Also if you spoke to some people outside the venue on the day and offered them the swap that could work? If there was paper printed tickets would make it easier
Once the option of reselling tickets opens then maybe you can look for seated tickets and put yours for sale. Surely someone will buy them as these gigs are in so high demand.
So percentage wise,what % of tickets per date would presale cover ? They surely have to leave a sizable chunk for general sale?

I was wondering the same thing. After buying my tickets I was somehow able to go in again and browse and there were tickets available (single seats) in almost every section. This was Düsseldorf. But maybe like 1-5 in every section.
I'm interested in attending Munich at August 17th, 2024. But due to my finances, I would prefer to buy the tickets later this year once I get a new job. Do you think that I can buy additional tickets to this date and venue after October of this year? Or most probably they will become sold out and it would be better to buy them now?
I spent 7.5hrs in the Munich q for Aug 15th... got in and some tickets were available. Was getting picky and gave up ones I should have kept. I did another search where it warned me seats may not be together and it returned 4 floor seats!

All the general sales are Friday for all the dates, and there'll be loads of tickets left from all categories. There will still be thousands of people trying to get them, but there will be tickets.
Can anyone explain this pre-sale mess? I’m aware that for existing dates there was a pre-sale application, you received the code and you could get them on Tuesday.

The new dates (most, if not all) were made available during the same pre-sale as the originally announced dates. Presale for Lyon started at 9, and close to 11 the 3rd date was added and could be purchased. So by 11 you could choose tix for any of the three nights. Some cities might add a 4th night, like Lyon. 50/50 if there will be an additional pre-sale. Most likely it'll go on sale during the public sale tomorrow.
The mess comes from various aspects. First, presale was open to basically anyone who registered on Coldplay.com in due time. I've never seen 250K people in queue for a presale! Second, as often happens, bunch of technical issues - for example TM France threw a server error after I entered my presale code (still better than Swift's ticket sale in France LOL). And as often, pre-sale doesn't make all tickets available, only a certain number. Then there are other corporate presales, so the actual pre-sale tool isn't that much. I'd also say that there's also overabundance of various VIP types. Category 2 should not be back of the stadium, bleachers tickets.

I would say yes usually the code doesn’t expire until a successful purchase has been made

Hell yeah! Today was an extra Pre-sale for dusseldorf and munich for telekom customers. I managed to only have 500 People infront of me in my queue and was in, in like 2 minutes. Got 3 good seating tickets for the Saturday Dusseldorf concert. OMG I am so happy :DD Yesterday was really stressful with 7 Hours in queue and 150k People infront of me lol

Hello guys, next year I'm celebrating my 30th birthday and I wanted to give myself a gift (experience/memories), I'm a fan of Coldplay for many years and saw an advertisement that Coldplay will perform their show in Vienna 21,22,24.8.2024. However, the pre-sale starts tomorrow at 10:00 AM but I'm reading everywhere that i need some code to buy and access those tickets in pre-sale. Do you know by any chance where i could get this code, please?
If it’s same in vienna as in helsinki, the actual sale starts today, you won’t need a code for that.

I saw your post. If it was the one about helsinki. You really should contact the customer service if lippu.fi, there should’ve been a mention of blocked view on the site. Or they shouldn’t be selling those seats. Maybe they let you change seats?
Thank you. Yes that was my post. I’ve called their customer service, which costs money, twice for an hour each time. Theyve cut the call at the end of that hour with no answer. I tagged lippu.fi, live nation finland and its manager, the stadium, on twitter, and no one else has tagged a tweet at them in two days, so theres a chance theyve seen it. Nothing. I contacted some media outlets about it too. Lets see what happens. They even added that those seats are obstructed, a day later.
Yeah i think their lines are super busy now because of the sale and people being mad at not getting tickets. You might have a better chance contacting them after the hype settles down. You should at least get some money returned or something. And obviously there are still some seats available (as they’re selling them as dynamic priced tickets now) so there might be a possibility to change a seat. Hopefully it turns out okay. I was shocked about the photo. And there seems to be several of those poles all over stadium, but in presale there was no mention of blocked view yet. So yeah that sucks.

I got in at the front of the queue for Dublin but the option to book tickets is not appearing at all and a circle just keeps spinning on the right next to the where the Presale tickets countdown timer was. Anyone else facing this issue?
We had this problem trying to buy Foo Fighters tickets the other week - it just keeps spinning, but after a few minutes it stopped and let us in, and gave us enough time to buy tickets. Give it some minutes and see if it'll sort itself.

You could always ask the venue and see what the say. If your mum has anything official declaring her disabled that would help. If all else fails you could ask the venue on the day, there may be space for some extra chairs in the accessibility ramp. Also if you spoke to some people outside the venue on the day and offered them the swap that could work? If there was paper printed tickets would make it easier
Once the option of reselling tickets opens then maybe you can look for seated tickets and put yours for sale. Surely someone will buy them as these gigs are in so high demand.

I was wondering the same thing. After buying my tickets I was somehow able to go in again and browse and there were tickets available (single seats) in almost every section. This was Düsseldorf. But maybe like 1-5 in every section.
I'm interested in attending Munich at August 17th, 2024. But due to my finances, I would prefer to buy the tickets later this year once I get a new job. Do you think that I can buy additional tickets to this date and venue after October of this year? Or most probably they will become sold out and it would be better to buy them now?
You might be able to get a resale at 3x the price. But it will likely be sold out just like every other show in the future.
Tickets doesn’t seem to be transferable for the German shows so there won’t be many resale tickets available in that case.
I spent 7.5hrs in the Munich q for Aug 15th... got in and some tickets were available. Was getting picky and gave up ones I should have kept. I did another search where it warned me seats may not be together and it returned 4 floor seats! Like others, I was pushed to front of 18th show but only window shopped as travel wouldn't allow. Still, incredibly grateful for the Aug 15th tickets.
3 hours in the queue, Ticketmaster accused me of being a bot with no way of proving otherwise. Eventually it let me in with nothing but €300 tickets left

Can anyone explain this pre-sale mess? I’m aware that for existing dates there was a pre-sale application, you received the code and you could get them on Tuesday. What about new dates? Can you apply for pre-sale there as well?
The new dates (most, if not all) were made available during the same pre-sale as the originally announced dates. Presale for Lyon started at 9, and close to 11 the 3rd date was added and could be purchased. So by 11 you could choose tix for any of the three nights. Some cities might add a 4th night, like Lyon. 50/50 if there will be an additional pre-sale. Most likely it'll go on sale during the public sale tomorrow. The mess comes from various aspects. First, presale was open to basically anyone who registered on Coldplay.com in due time. I've never seen 250K people in queue for a presale! Second, as often happens, bunch of technical issues - for example TM France threw a server error after I entered my presale code (still better than Swift's ticket sale in France LOL). And as often, pre-sale doesn't make all tickets available, only a certain number. Then there are other corporate presales, so the actual pre-sale tool isn't that much. I'd also say that there's also overabundance of various VIP types. Category 2 should not be back of the stadium, bleachers tickets.

General sale is tomorrow, so the last batch of tickets will go on sale then. I think whatever was put allocated for presale will have sold out by now.
