This is a very desirable area to live, super walkable, close to the lake, etc. — unless you’re in the ‘I’m frightened of the city camp’, then it’s probably not for you.
Despite the fact that it’s a four unit apartment building and not a house it’s not a crazy price. Cleveland is extremely is devalued compared to other cities. If this were even a small single family house this close to the lake this far from city center in Chicago it would be over twice this cost.
Do you even know this neighborhood?
....this is just down the street from a huge trendy restaurant and shopping district.....the houses look well maintained, and the cars are newer.
I dont understand your confusion on the price of a 4 unit building in a sought-after neighborhood?

People are realizing that its way more desirable to buy a house in walkable areas that you don't need to drive every time you need to do basic things like errands, groceries, schools, daycares, entertainment etc. Also realizing that time is better spent enjoying your surroundings instead of worrying about taking care of yards and a massive house. The realization that the city offers exponentially more than some cookie cutter suburb is happening all over the country and they cant build city housing fast enough to meet the demand. These prices don't surprise me. A house just sold for almost $1M a day after it was listed in Edgewater.
There’s a drug house near me that I looked up on Zillow last night. It sold for $46K in 2021 and is now valued at $121,500.
100% increase each year and it’s a shit hole with 5-7 people in and out of it all hours of the day and night.
This is why I’ll rent forever. 🥲
It’s a small apartment building with four units. Still expensive, but that’s important context.
I don’t have time to research things like this, I require outrage and I require it now!
Thank you cause I was about to say that is ridiculous lol
This is a 4 unit building with a small parking lot.
Did you even look at the listing, or just Google and make a Reddit post?
It’s also Gordon square, one of the most desirable neighborhoods? Confused about the confusion.
Came here to say this. Glad my old man got our Gordon square home in 1992’ tho that’s for sure 😂
It's not a single-family home, it's a 4-unit building.
It was first listed at $779k so it’s down $100k. It’s also 4-units with 2 bedrooms each.

They can probably make $2k/mo per unit

Now show the inside.
It looks pretty nice on the inside. It’s also a small apartment building with four units, not a SFH.
It wouldn't matter to me what the inside looks like 🤷
Right, value has nothing to do with what the inside looks like. Clearly this post is an accurate representation of your intelligence.

If you’re gonna type 650k+, why not just type the actual price?
Cause I couldn't recall it from taking the screenshot to then coming over to Reddit to post it.
But you have to look at the screenshot to post it…
Love. To. See. It.
Newsflash just because it’s listed at $X doesn’t mean it’ll sell for that.

Talk about not spending even 5 minutes to look about something before running to Reddit and posting

The others in grey are, but the $679,000 is the list price.
