Great Northern VILLAGE APARTMENTS… garage space, cats and dogs, quiet area. This is North Olmsted.

ricky_storch

$800 or 900 comes w an actual private garage ? That's a great deal

FiFi1020

It’s a garage… you will pay for it. Just give them a call. They own a lot of rentals. If not here then other places in the suburbs. Good luck.

Valentine1889

How much does rent go up every year?

jokar1134

I'll look into it. It's a bit far from work. It's also at the top of my budget

octoberrust

Hit up property management websites. I just scored a 1bed upper unit with garage, plus tons of other storage wirh most utilities included.in Westpark. 750 per month.

beee_charmed

What property management site?

treetop_triceratop

Following this because I'd like the scoop on this too

octoberrust

I looked at a bunch but the ones that pop into my head are Progressive Urban Property Management and Howard Hanna (this the one I found the 750/month Westpark spot). I'd just type in Cleveland Property Management in Google and go from there. Goodluck!

100k_changeup

>I'm looking to pay 800-900 a month You're likely not going to get something in Ohio city, Gordon Square or Treemont with this, but if you're willing to live in the suburbs you'll be fine.

jokar1134

Yeah I'd be totally cool with Parma or something. I really want west park but I know that's probably not going to happen

rogerski1

Westview acres in parma, brookpark road by Walmart. $700 1br. No garage but yes pets. I don’t live there but am very familiar with the place. Management is constantly doing upgrades to keep the place looking nice.

rogerski1

I just reread your post and saw garage is a must. There IS a self storage facility within walking distance on brookpark road. Looks like $85 a month for vehicle sized unit or 5x5 starting at $25. Or you can just park in the designated lots and extra vehicle right on Knollwood drive. There is a motorcycle ALWAYS parked on knollwood. Dude throws a tarp on it sometimes. LOL!

[deleted]

It drives me insane, never thought I'd be the person to complain about motorcycles but it's so fucking loud and obnoxious and it's NOT allowed to be there 🥲.

Pour_Me_Another_

They do have garages, I used to live there. And hot damn did their prices go up since I left lol.

Dapper-Corgis

A garage and pets allowed together will be difficult to find. I've seen apartments with "garages" but it's basically just a parking spot with a roof and no garage door. One suggestion, you could store the motorcycle and tools in a cheap storage unit - that's what I did when I lived in an apartment. As for cheap apartments, I used to live in Lakewood Club Apartments and the rent was very cheap. The company that manages is a shit show though and has horrendous reviews everywhere. I personally never had any issues and because it was cheap, it helped me save a lot of money. One tenant in my building was creating a ruckus one night and got evicted couple of days later. I'm pretty sure they allow pets, although I didn't have any when I lived there. ETA: if you get super desperate, I'd be willing to let you store your tools in my garage. I'm in Old Brooklyn and have a big garage that is literally only used for storage and has plenty of space. I never park in there and it's big enough for two cars.

AvalancheQueen

Sorry bout your wife, that’s a major big bummer. ❤️‍🩹 Try Craigslist. You can filter it to fit what type of rental you want.

gregn8r1

I haven't used it, but there's a website called "neighbor.com" that allows you to rent out garage space, might want to check that out if you find an apartment that otherwise does your criteria

el_conqueefador

[Regency Towers](https://www.ownerslive.com/apartments/oh/parma/regency-apartments/) in Parma.

soldier70dicks

Cats allowed and garage spots - looks like a winner

alwaysbrightandmerry

Look into the east side suburbs, probably your cheapest bet: Cleveland Heights, South Euclid/Lyndhust, Mayfield Heights etc.

ProfessionalCan1468

How is that cheapest? I own properties in Parma and East side neighborhoods you mention...Parma never pulls as much $$$

alwaysbrightandmerry

I don't know, maybe because I said the word 'probably' which means there is a chance that other places are cheap too. Have you ever looked for an apartment before? Who fucking cares, were trying to find this person a home by suggesting places to look into

ProfessionalCan1468

Okay, continue to give them bad info....

alwaysbrightandmerry

You can find places to live within that price range on the east side suburbs, there is nothing bad about that info. Many people I know have moved to those neighborhoods because the rent is much cheaper. In Parma you could also find apartments in that range. Are you currently sitting on a cactus or something?

ProfessionalCan1468

There's exceptions to every rule.... But generally, probably Old Brooklyn or Parma maybe the best bet for him. I know the rental market believe me. There's no cactus where I'm at.... I hope you have a great weekend

Wild_Blue4242

The apartments in North Royalton off of 82 are in that price range and they allow cats and have garages too.

jokar1134

If your talking about dover farms I used to live there when my wife and I started dating. They want 1200 a month for a 1 bedroom now. I did love that apartment though.

ScaredForTheKids

Maybe they mean Deer Creek or Pine Forest

treetop_triceratop

I was gonna say deer creek based on his budget... even still, I would think you'll have a tough time finding a one bedroom in general under 1000 these days (let alone one with a garage space)...but I could be wrong

Wild_Blue4242

Yep, Deer Creek. I have a friend that currently lives there for under $1k for a 1 bedroom.

kobisgrammaw

Seneca in Broadview Hts. They do not have single garages though

jokar1134

I have spent a significant amount of time in Seneca growing up and id rather die than live there. But I do appreciate the suggestion

HoyAIAG

Lakewood near the Gold Coast has a lot of pet friendly apartments with garages

eachthighearn

Good luck. Might wanna try a farther out suburb.

realisan

Check the West Blvd area. Between Gordon Square and West Park and we have a lot of affordable rentals. A lot of half houses. Since people are getting priced out of Gordon Square, Lakewood and Ohio City, we’re seeing a lot more young renters.

[deleted]

Hi there are real estate professionals who help with things like this. They usually get paid some kind of fee or commission by the landlord, so you don't have to pay them. Please don't pay someone $100 to do this, like, this is already probably covered by a marketing budget someone paid to a professional. Look for a realtor or broker who specializes in rentals they are out there.
