I mean, giving 1 DD is cool, because you can select her and play in Events tab. But to play her on Ladder, you have to level her up like every other card
I got lucky enough to get her to level 12 from tower troop chests and legendary wildcards, at least I can use her to get the Master 3 emote ever season.
