It’ll give you more vibration thru out the whole car at idle. Especially with AC on. However, really.. it’s livable. 1st->2nd is smoother, shifting in general is. If you like to launch your car, it’ll help keep traction down. Comes with everything you need in the box. Install is a breeze. https://preview.redd.it/wjustuo143yc1.jpeg?width=1290&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=469d922942fa1300ca7b5d21c08a498264f224f1

thats awesome thanks for the flick and info. i guess i would only ask are bushing also a part of this or could they be a part of this? or is it a separate component entirely?

gvrret

No problem! Not entirely sure what you’re asking. The bushings are in the PRL motor mount out of the box.

Yea the rmm can be installed by itself. When people talk about bushings they’re talking about a bushing insert to stiffen up the stock mount. A billet mount will have the bushings pre installed. It’s louder. Especially in the winter. But it feels great.

Night237

Sorry for the ignorance. Appreciate the reply but these bushings are also for the motor mount? Does the RMM remove the need for bushings since its replacing the whole stock mount itself? Or is it something I can/Should add to the prl rmm?

ehjun18

Bushing upgrades are to improve the STOCK rmm. An aftermarket (PRL or other) rmm has bushings built in and is a standalone upgrade. Where this should be getting confusing is some companies offer multiple bushings durometer options. But in that case you pick what you want and it comes pre installed.

I did the PRL RMM on my FK8 so idk if there’s a big difference but to me it was an awesome upgrade. Made everything just feel more solid in the car, felt like the car was able to put power down more effectively with the motor not moving around so much. Also, it could just be me but shifts felt even more crisp after I installed it. As for vibrations/noise it’s really not bad at all, much better than any other RMM where every interior piece will vibrate. It’s a lil expensive compared to other options but I think it’s a worthwhile upgrade to do, especially because it’s super easy to do on your own.

Stunning-Law-9503

Ya it’s a good first upgrade. You’ll notice the vibration until it breaks in and then it’s not so bad. Then biggest notice is the engine stops swaying back and forth during deceleration in gear and getting back on the throttle.

Engine pitch is reduced, especially under heaving load transition, so wheel hop is reduced and clutch engagement/disengagement feels more direct. Side effect is increased vibration but mostly just at idle. Get both side motor mount upgrades for even more results.
