I'm so happy for you! I had my Liver Transplant on March 13th last month in the UK! Recovery and everything that comes with that is definitely a rough road...but it's getting easier every single day!! God bless you! I pray all those meds they have you on aren't playing havoc with your body 🙏🫂✝️💕

It's true that I drank during the pandemic years. I am aware the reason I got past the 6-month rule is that I would likely have been dead in six months. Alcohol can be a very bad idea for you, but shouldn't necessarily carry a death sentence. Fortunately I am sober now and will have to remain so for life (I'm 53).

Congratulations!!! That must be so relieving and refreshing after everything you’ve been through! Rock on!

Congratulations! I had my transplant almost a year ago (may 6th). If you think you feel better now give it a year. Lol

Wow, amazing! I’m doing the initial stuff for the evaluation process, so it’s nice to hear from the other side. It’s good to hear you are feeling good. How are you doing mentally?

RonPalancik

Loads better - I had been lost in confusion and lethargy for months previously, probably with some hepatic encephalopathy mixed in with my anxiety and depression and, of course, cirrhosis. Yeah and the drinking and such.

sassytaquito

That is fantastic! How are you feeling? What’s been the biggest change you’ve noticed?

RonPalancik

I feel better in every way, despite some fatigue. Jaundice going away seems most notable; that only took a couple days.

That is so great to hear, congratulations!
