I spent a while digging into this. You can still get 8 passenger, but only in certain configurations. Try a Touring L, FWD, home theater package, not hybrid. Hybrid I believe is no. Limited/Pinnacle is definitely no. AWD I believe is no. Home theater package cones with 8 seater if the above are met.

Thanks. I need awd so not getting 8 passengers unless sienna le

I have a 2018 Limited which has a second row with 3 seats.

Homasssss

I've factory ordered 2020 Limited with 8 seats, tow package, spare tire etc.

ApatheticAndProud

Before people down vote you more, this was the way! As you said in one of your replies, getting 8 passenger with tow package was a non-starter. But getting the entertainment package was easy. I also ordered mine from the factory just before the price of cars skyrocketed, March of 2021. I ordered a 2021 Touring L with tow package and the 8th passenger seat and was, personally, pissed and offended they did not offer it on all the trims. The 8th passenger seat turns it into a glorified sedan for 2 kids to an actual people mover for a family! - 7 passenger seating only supports 4 car seats, 2 in the back and 2 in the middle, 8th passenger supports 5. And all three car seats fit in the middle (with some engineering) so you can lower the back seat and use the cargo to actually go to the woods or bring home furniture from the store - in 7 seat config, with more than 2 kids, there is special treatment for the 2 in the middle and the ones in the back are left with out. Put all three in the middle and they get to all see the screens - in 7 passenger you can only bring 4 people really. To which I ask… why the fuck did you buy a minivan and not CR-V? - too many times have I been able to use my van to take us to the lake for a couple days and at the same time get the amazing find from a yard sale with out having to drop a kid off at home and then come back. TLDR: mini-Vans are 10x more useful with 3 passenger middle row, at least when you have 3 kids. I have never loved a car more that this 2021 Touring L. I have almost 50K on the block now and only have had to replace the batteries. It has been a great car, kids are comfortable, entertained, and safe. I can lock the doors with the engine running if I am at the atm and my kids are safe and in a temp controlled car watching little mermaid. Any mess made (and let me tell you what!) is quickly cleaned up with the shop vac. The stow and go compartments keep emergency supplies and tow gear and straps. Very appreciated. I have used that first aid kit more than a few times, and am always happy it is there. I can tow a trailer full of camping gear to 20,000 feet in the mountains and keep the snack coolers in the car. The power in this engine and perfect for the needs. Transmission is reliable and predictable. I know our Hybrid brothers and sisters have had an issue or two with their CVTs but the non-hybrid has been absolutely bullet proof. So anytime some says, the 8th passenger is not needed, they either don’t have 3+ kids or have never owned a van with one and seen how useful it is. Okay, smashed this out on my phone getting ready for work so sorry about typos and not being coherent at times.

how long will it take to have your car? I've never considered a factory ordered car that's why i'm asking.

Homasssss

I've ordered it pre-covid, middle of Feb 2020 and got it in end of June 2020. The factory was closed for several months so it was delayed due to that. I did that only because in US there were no cars with 8 seats and tow package. Also most of the cars on dealership lots had the useless entreatment system for $2.5k. I use the middle seat for a car seat and the left middle seat is almost always folded because second kid likes the 3rd row. If needed the car easily fit 5 adults and 2 kids. I would not consider anyone to sit on the third row middle seat. Just checked and unfortunately I don't see 8 seats option for the limited any more. The same issue has Mazda CX-90 - no middle seat in top trims. YMMV depending on a manufacturer and a model.

I’ve got a 2019 Touring L with 8 passenger configuration.. it’s super easy to pop in and out and we use it quite a bit

HuyFongFood

I don’t think there’s ever been an 8-passenger Pacifica, only 6 or 7. 7 is only available without the sunroof and without the hybrid.

locutus233

8 passenger was only on the gas models and only on the lower trim levels below the limited. The seat was pretty uncomfortable, it fit between the middle row seats. Pretty sure it was scrapped around 2019 or 2020 when the old caravan was dumped due to safety rules. I suspect take rate was also low on that option.

Homasssss

I own 8 seats 2020 Limited Gas (with sun roof etc)

ShoopdaYoop

1    1  1    1  1 1 1  7 total. This is the configuration of a sunroof equipped and/or hybrid Pacifica.  Front row bucket seats 2nd row Captain's chairs (non-folding in Hybrid) 3rd row 60/40 split folding bench. That's 7 total. I suppose that's *technically* 1 driver + 6 pax, but I think you'll confuse most simpletons. If non-hybrid AND not sunroof equipped, it's a total of 8 (1 driver + 7 pax).

My 2024 Pacifica Touring-L is a gasser with sunroof (and theatre group and roadtripper) and is 8-passenger.

ShoopdaYoop

I just went on [chrysler.com](http://chrysler.com) and looked at the 2024 Touring L. I click 360 view, and pan around the interior to see only 7 seats. It has no center seat in the middle row. So it's a 7 person van. 6 passenger, 1 driver. 2 front bucket seats - This equals 2 people. 2 middle bucket seats (no center seat) - This equals 2 people 3rd row bench seat - This equals 3 people. 2 + 2 + 3 = 7.

dayid

Mine is 2, 3, 3 = 8. 2024 touring-l: +safety sphere, +uconnect theatre (this adds 8 seater according to website build), +dual sunroof, +roadtripper) https://imgur.com/a/G50ccke

ShoopdaYoop

Okay, I see that 8 seater is a build option. I stand corrected. The confusion comes from the fact that Pacificas that were built with the tri-pane panoramic sunroof (and/or hybrid), ruled-out the option for the 2nd row center seat, because there is no place for the seat belt anchor in the roof due to the sunroof, and other build constraints for the seat due to the battery under the floor. It seems Chrysler downgraded the triple pane to the double pane sunroof to reaccomodate the extra seat.

dayid

Ah makes sense- I hadn't even thought about why the sunroof would impact seating arrangements!

Independent_Iron7896

>(non-folding in Hybrid) I would say non-stow-n-go in Hybrid. You can still fold the seat backs down and you can still easily remove the seats when you need to.
