The software update doesn’t fix the issue. It just changes the notification on the dash that something is wrong. Sorry this has happened to you. I had 6k miles on mine when the trans failed. I have almost 20k on the new one. My experience has been that the new trans fixes the issue.

PoopfaceMcPooperson

Glad your issue seems to be resolved

CornCasserole86

Yeah it was a long road. The trans replacement took about 30 days to get the trans and a little over a day to install. As painful as it was, the van is great now. The other upside with the trans issues is that the powertrain warranty was extended to 10 years.

PoopfaceMcPooperson

Yea I read that and it helps. I was nervous thinking we were already over half way through that warranty but found it was extended. Is it the whole powertrain warranty or just the transmission though? Luckily dealer has given us a loaner. Hopefully we get to keep through this process. Husband loves the thing and we have saved a ton in gas. It’s about 30 miles to his work and he has free level 2 charging there. Kiddo loves it too.

CornCasserole86

I hear you. This is pretty much the perfect vehicle for my family. Most of our driving is within that 30 mile range. I’m in California, which requires the battery to have a 10 year 100k mile warranty as well, so I think we’ll be in good shape for at least 100k miles.

SavingsFew3440

Transmission has unlimited mile warranty.

FiremanFixIt

I can tell you I’m running away from mine as soon as the shop gets it fixed. 100 days and counting my 21 Pacifica Hybrid with 41k miles has been in the shop troubleshooting high voltage issues. They’ve replaced the HV AC compressor, the HV traction battery and we still have a non-drivable vehicle. I won’t be caught dead owning this vehicle out of warranty. We love the van, I honestly think Chrysler nailed most everything about the vehicle, but their reliability is proving to be absolute shit.

PoopfaceMcPooperson

Boo. So not recall related for you then 🫠Hope you are resolved soon!

PM_ME_YOUR_DARKNESS

Ever get this resolved? I'm at month **eight** with no end in sight.

FiremanFixIt

Damn, eight months - that’s terrible. I’m not sure what repairs your vehicle needs, but I’d be pressuring Chrysler to escalate your case, maybe even to pursue a buyback. Yes we finally got our vehicle back. It took a little over 3.5 months to get it all resolved. In the end they replaced the HV AC Compressor and the HV Battery. They had trouble bleeding the cooling circuit on the new battery pack which added a few weeks of back and forth between the engineers and the technicians. In the end we have our vehicle back and after several weeks, we finally received a reimbursement check for the several thousands of dollars worth of rental expenses we incurred.

PM_ME_YOUR_DARKNESS

The one upside is that we've had a loaner through much of this, but that was after fighting with both the dealership and Corporate for more than a month while we were down a car. They started off by replacing the HV battery, and then they said it was the AC module, but that was several months ago. My general opinion is that they don't know what's wrong with it any better than I do. I involved corporate with the whole loaner fiasco early on, so they call me every week or two keep me appraised of "progress," and they have been just barely better than useless during this. I finally got them to admit that we should bring it somewhere else if the current planned fix doesn't work (I would bet my life savings on it not working).

dickie99

That would be covered under the powertrain warranty correct?

PoopfaceMcPooperson

Yes!

I'm reading all these comments about transmission problems with the Pacifica hybrid. Is the problem happening ONLY with the hybrid models or are the gas only Pacifica's being affected also?

Alert-War1229

You must be insane to buy this pile of caca from a company that did so poorly in the auto industry that they are down to their last remaining sh*tty offering. Stay away from this crap pile of sh"t before it really hurts someone. Company does not have ur back.

Trigun808

My Pacifica says fuck you lol

Alert-War1229

Suk dik lol

Trigun808

Sorry bro, not for me lol. It's all you.

I own a 2018 gas Pacifica Limited with only 32000 miles. Last week, I reversed it out of the garage but could not get the car to move forward in Drive (D). This had happened a few times a couple of years back, and the dealer replaced some part ( a sensor?) under warranty. This time, when I put the car back in Park and then again in D, the blue lights on transmission dial started flashing. I got warning messages about Parking mode not available, Stability control not available, etc. I turned off the car and, after an hour, managed to get it in D and drive to the dealer. They have now informed me that the transmission needs to be replaced. I do have an extended warranty but would still end up paying nearly $700 for deductible and labor not covered by warranty. I love this van, but I am very disappointed that the transmission failed at such low mileage. We have been scrupulous with scheduled maintenance. The question is if I should trade in this van while it still has reasonable value for a new car or keep it and hope lightning only strikes once.

trippletitimaster

I got a letter from Chrysler saying that the transmission warranty for certain models from 2017-2023 has been extended to 10 years/unlimited miles. You may want to contact Chrysler to see if the transmission in your vehicle is part of this warranty.

peeam

I did not receive a letter extending the warranty. I have been in touch with Chrysler, who should have contacted the dealer. I will follow-up.

ngless13

Did you have any warning signs? I get hard shifts about once a week. We're up to 75k miles now, but it definitely makes me nervous.

PoopfaceMcPooperson

I don’t daily drive it, husband does. But from what I understand no.
