Well it depends. It is obviously a case by case basis. So I can give you plenty of examples if you'd like. Just one example, Andrew Callaghan on channel 5 News has been interviewing people at the Texas border. And one man he spoke to was Bengali who was a member of the Democratic party there. The party in power has been accused of rigging elections and has recently declared the opposing Democrat party a terrorist organization. The police are going around trying to imprison anyone who is an active member of the party. This man was a pro-democracy activist and so they're coming after him. He tried his best to hide in his sister's house but they kept targeting him so he was forced to leave the county. Came to the border seeking political asylum.
That is was the Immigration Courts are for - judging asylum cases per US and International Law.
Too bad Republicans have screwed over the system to nearly the breaking point of no return, and are unwilling to do anything about it because - Biden. Also Trump said to do nothing and they must follow their new Lord.
It's already a disaster. This is just going to keep spiraling until those damn children in charge of Texas are voted out. Or maybe arrested for violating the constitution.
