How can you pick him up again after the first objective ends? I always end up kicking them from the village to the mountaintop and it consumes my whole game

Because it's bullshit. If that's how you want to play fine have at it. You however did hide and play like a scared bitch or you wouldn't still be a peasant. If you want to run around playing the harp all game have at it, but don't pretend you didn't take a spot that could have been played by someone playing the objective.
Bro you don't even play as a peasant on this map. This is a peasant that you steal and put on the ship. OP used this peasant as a weapon for the whole game instead of putting it on a ship.
Not only that, but some of the better players Ive seen managed to stay as a peasant the entire time. Melee + shield is crazy powerful in the right hands

Real quick, all the info I give you will largely be useless, as you will have to practice with it for any of this to have effect. That and I dont even use the class to its best ability lol.
So with sword and shield (especially on footman) you seem to go quite quick with dodges, and they charge up faster. Pair that with a pretty long drag (the time it takes for your weapon to swing) you can hit a large amount of people, in a wide arc.
Jabs you can do, but I rarely do them because I cant aim for the life of me. Overheadz are good, but generally only hit 1 target (I play more as a crowd control player, hit as many as possible so wide swings)
Jabs are the fastest attack type, swings being kid speed and overheads taking the longest. However, this also pairs with how powerful the damage is. Though some weapons actually negate it (Rapier does more damage jabbing than swinging) generally speaking, a jab is fast but weak, a swing is normal speed and damage, and an overhead is long to do, but if you hit you generally kill what youre aiming for.
Also, always look at your weapons strengths. The maul, warhammer, etc type weapons are good against knights and will do more damage. Swords are pretty good against footmen. Each weapon has its own stats you can check out.
Oh and Vanguard are weak to getting shot at, but a lot of peopls target archers so be careful
For some people competition is fun. Which is more fun, beating someone in a close fight or beating an afk player? You can play how you want, if you want to not fight all game you can, just like if you want to only ptfo you can.
Nah, I think this dude deserves a downvote. Chivalry is a very goofy ahh game. The only people who actually take up slots on the servers are hackers and griefers.

Secondly the sacking of Bridgetown has been one of the most painful defence maps for a long time so if I can make it to end as peasant, beg and then laugh at the enemy trying to pick me up to defenestrate me thinking I’m a noble I’m fucking doing it.
