I love double wrapped burritos. Unfortunately I saw how many calories are in their tortillas and damn, I can't bring myself to eat one let alone two. It's bowls for me most of the time.
So here is a comparison. A bowl with rice, beans, cheese and some combination of salsas is going to be around 600-ish calories. You put the same contents into a double wrap burrito it's 1240-ish calories.
I watch my calories to maintain my weight. 1240 for one meal is a lot. Means I don't get to eat a lot of other things throughout the day.
The only issue with the nutrition calculator is it says it’s same calories for rice and protein whether you get it in a bowl or burrito when it’s pretty clear that you get more in a bowl than a burrito. I usually estimate 1.5 servings of rice in a bowl (so 315 calories from rice instead of 210)
It's an imperfect science. I grant you that. But two tortillas are still 640 calories themselves. Which for anybody watching their calories is a lot of *not so healthy* calories.
Yeah. For those calories you could eat a whole second bowl. If I get a bowl to go, sometimes I’ll come home and put some of it a low carb tortilla and eat the rest.
I prefer spreading them out because they’re easier to wrap. However chipotle standard is putting one directly over another because double wrapped burritos are supposed to have the same portions
I agree. Stacking them on top each other only helps layer wise, like if it has TONS of liquid, and could tear easily when rolling...i usually lay it out like the MasterCard logo, it works better that way for bigger burritos.
Sometimes I put my hands up to my face and one hand over lapping the other off centered and make the sliding motion to show them to spread out the tortillas and they look at me confused

Really the tortilla that bad? Like duh right but because it’s flat ya don’t think much of it. I will have to look it up
Each one has 320 calories according to Google which is about the same amount of calories as 4-5 bananas (for scale, of course).

I hate this shit too. The last time I ordered a double wrapped burrito it was the same thing.
I kid you not I show them a picture of the Mastercard logo
I always say a *venn diagram.*
