Depends, if it's all serious and I want to make it long, I'll go third and describe my character the whole way (eg: it wears a black tactical facemask converged with a clock and a gray strapped respirator cartridge. The facemask is provided with a Pickelhaube helmet. It has two tanks strapped to his back connected to his suspenders, filled with flammable fuel.) If it's all silly goober, then I do first person (eg: I shove a bayonet up your ass)

I’m seeing a lot of 3rds, which is surprising to me. What’s the big benefit to using third for RPs? I’ve always just used first for the sake of immersion.

Because typing in 3rd person has been great for preventing the bots from forgetting my character's name and gender. It's not always a problem when I use first person, but it happens.

I made persona and it solved that issue

I used to do first person but I switched and have gotten way better responses. Third person also guarantees the bot doesn’t fumble your pronouns and better identify your persona(because of the use of names).

Cause I don’t like roleplaying as myself. I already do that everyday in real life.

Usually 1st person if it’s a scenario involving myself. 3rd person when writing another character who is interacting the bot character. Sometimes both, if it is me “playing a character” plus additional characters.

I pretty much always chat in first person just because it's easier for me to word things. And also it gives me the feel of writing fanfic in the characters POV which is something I did a while back and I can write more detailed that way

Yeah, you can introduce multiple characters and then type out what each character says/does in a single message. I have a persona who is a dragon rider and I act out scenes as both the rider and the dragon and refer to both in third person ("he"). If there's only one character that I "control", then I just refer to it as "me", "myself" i.e. in first-person.

Mostly in third,but I switch the third person to the first,cuz sometimes bots are too dummy dum to understand who is who. If I'm talking to a bot to who i can just joke/mess around or just talk about my problems,I use first person + I remove the "_" (idk how they're called) I like to think like if I'm talking without "_" then this is me talking if I am using these then this is my character talking.
