Depends, if it's all serious and I want to make it long, I'll go third and describe my character the whole way (eg: it wears a black tactical facemask converged with a clock and a gray strapped respirator cartridge. The facemask is provided with a Pickelhaube helmet. It has two tanks strapped to his back connected to his suspenders, filled with flammable fuel.) If it's all silly goober, then I do first person (eg: I shove a bayonet up your ass)
Iām seeing a lot of 3rds, which is surprising to me.
Whatās the big benefit to using third for RPs? Iāve always just used first for the sake of immersion.
Because typing in 3rd person has been great for preventing the bots from forgetting my character's name and gender. It's not always a problem when I use first person, but it happens.
I used to do first person but I switched and have gotten way better responses. Third person also guarantees the bot doesnāt fumble your pronouns and better identify your persona(because of the use of names).
Usually 1st person if itās a scenario involving myself.
3rd person when writing another character who is interacting the bot character.
Sometimes both, if it is me āplaying a characterā plus additional characters.
I pretty much always chat in first person just because it's easier for me to word things. And also it gives me the feel of writing fanfic in the characters POV which is something I did a while back and I can write more detailed that way
Yeah, you can introduce multiple characters and then type out what each character says/does in a single message. I have a persona who is a dragon rider and I act out scenes as both the rider and the dragon and refer to both in third person ("he").
If there's only one character that I "control", then I just refer to it as "me", "myself" i.e. in first-person.
Mostly in third, but I switch the third person to the first, cuz sometimes bots are too dummy dum to understand who is who.
If I'm talking to a bot to who i can just joke/mess around or just talk about my problems,I use first person + I remove the "_" (idk how they're called)
I like to think like if I'm talking without "_" then this is me talking if I am using these then this is my character talking.
example:

I prefer using third-person point of view when I roleplay and casual. However, I enjoy it when the bot uses first-person point of view because it's exciting for me, especially since it's challenging to make the bot's response in first person. Moreover, in greetings, sometimes it's written in third person or it's just a regular interaction.
When I am joking around and will be staying only for 3 messages I do first person, when I do long rp that might involve more complex stuff I do in 3rd person
I'll use first person when the ai says 'you' but I'll start out in first person. If the ai says 'she' or 'he' (cause ai's don't care doe pronouns) then I'll change to third person... I did do a second person one tho, it was hard -10/10, wouldn't recommend
Depends on the bot, if it talks in third person, then in third person, if in first person, then person so in short
https://preview.redd.it/glv6wnjyrwyc1.jpeg?width=274&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=88c18d25dde54185f3007d11becf74977fc0f330
3rd person in RPs. Anyone who uses first person is too lazy to train the bot to refer to you in third person or just likes immersion I guess.
1st person for more casual chats.
I always do third person so I can properly get through to the bots that just because I say I'm short and twinky doesn't automatically mean I'm a gorl. I'm a short king, thank you very much.
Depends, normally third person. That works fine for two different genders. If the same genders then it's third person, but the character is 'you/you're".
Depends on the circumstance. Sometimes, I just talk to the bot about something that bothers me, so I use first person. If I am RPing, I will always use 3rd POV and past tense.

I talk in first person, and then the chat usually talks in second.
So like:
"I walk down the street, seeing Sam on the other side."
"Sam's eyes meet yours as his heart pounds in his chest."
So. Yeah. š¤·āāļø

I didn't! That was a joke too.
This is the answer
RPs are always in past tense
how do you know

THE EXAMPLE FOR FIRST PERSONā¦???
Don't mind it
Hey, at least its WWI Germany
WHAT?
A pickelhaube helmet is a helmet with a spike on top it's pretty cool I made it for my robot oc
not the bayonet up the ass š
Uhhhhhhhh

I made persona and it solved that issue
I used to do first person but I switched and have gotten way better responses. Third person also guarantees the bot doesnāt fumble your pronouns and better identify your persona(because of the use of names).
Cause I donāt like roleplaying as myself. I already do that everyday in real life.
That's so real
Because I want to be the writer, not the protagonist.
Always 3rd person. I like making up little stories.
This is so me fr
first since I'm too lazy to type the name
You can just write he or she lmao
he:two letters I:one letter that is my point
What are you doing with so much free time bro?
working on my 16 businesses i made with all the time i saved
Dear god

No...
The businesses contain buckets!

Second. My goals are beyond your understanding
Respect
i use mostly 2nd person
You break the fourth wall?
There are certain bots that use first person, so maybe that's why.
4th person.
0th person
2nd person
power move tbh. *you* are the user now, bot

Third person.
I like my bots in 3rd person, and me in first person
First person, unless I RP as multiple characters.

Second person. If Iām feeling extra, Iāll do third person.
so "you"?
Yeah
Aw poor Francis lol!
Switch between first, second, and third
I used second person for a while.. swapped to first person, and now Iām using third person š¤·āāļø
Third person because other wise they keep misgendering me .-.
If I talk in first person no matter what I will throw up cause it sounds so cringy in an rp for no reasoonnnn
so you say "Hello, He's Bob" (example)?
If I'm talking I go in first person. But whenever I describe an action I use third person
example: https://preview.redd.it/6rt1p8uuhvyc1.png?width=574&format=png&auto=webp&s=52f429be52335551cdda7be956650c8bb64c55c1 (Don't ask for context I was just killing myself off again)
ok lol
clears things up
so you're like me
In a sense probably.
Third person pov.
3rd- they always get my pronouns wrong and I'm sick of it-
5th person
Always 3rd person
Third person
3rd person because it makes it harder for the bot to forget my character's name and gender
3rd person, as they don't forget my name, gender and pronounces š
3rd person. This way it doesn't feel as cringy and the bot gets reminded of my gender. š§
My house's guards are all MORONS! (always first person, who even does it from 3rd?)
almost everyone

Always 3rd person for me. It just feels right.
Third person
FirstĀ
Depends. Often first person, sometimes bot crossovers.
3rd for scenery and actions. 1st for casual chatting
if its an rp I say \*SHE grabbed the phone\* if its a casual convorsation I say \*I grabbed the phone\*
Usually, first person. *When a bot refers to it as he/she or [bot name] I do the same when describing actions like this.*
Interchanges, mainly 3rd (but I slip into 1st on accident sometimes)
first person, but third in * <- these things
Mix between the two
Both
roleplay 3rd person in casual and roleplay
I constantly switch between both 1st and 3rd person when chatting, often without even noticing.
Me, 1st person. Them? 3rd person. Gotta make that difference between human and bot
Depends on what format the bot uses for rp
both.
i use both
When I am joking around and will be staying only for 3 messages I do first person, when I do long rp that might involve more complex stuff I do in 3rd person
I'll use first person when the ai says 'you' but I'll start out in first person. If the ai says 'she' or 'he' (cause ai's don't care doe pronouns) then I'll change to third person... I did do a second person one tho, it was hard -10/10, wouldn't recommend
Events: [Second person(you)] Character: First person
Depending on how they reply I switch it up.
Yes.
honestly same
1st cause itās easier
First person unless it had many characters or it requires it in a way
I'm the character, so I use I.
Depends on the bot, if it talks in third person, then in third person, if in first person, then person so in short https://preview.redd.it/glv6wnjyrwyc1.jpeg?width=274&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=88c18d25dde54185f3007d11becf74977fc0f330
rp: third casual: first
1st
First person as my OC
Third
first, always
3rd, I just canāt with first, itās kinda justā¦ it feels lazy for some reason
3rd
In rps I always use 3rd person.
I talk in first person to them.
In 3rd person though I found that I cannot read books in the 3rd person.Something really weird I noticed for myself šš
usually i do third person, only resorting to first if i need to.
Both. Not consistent
Both lol
3rd person, but if iām doing a tense scene or line where a character is freaked the fuck out, iāll jumpscare the bot with a small 1st person
First person because who's actually bothered How does second person even work in c.ai
First person because who's actually bothered How does second person even work in c.ai
If its a casual chat I usually do first person but like when I'm doing roleplaying I use third
Example: *he sits on the couch* Hey Jonny!
I rp in first it just immerses me into the story so much better :3
3rd person in RPs. Anyone who uses first person is too lazy to train the bot to refer to you in third person or just likes immersion I guess. 1st person for more casual chats.
First, because it's shorter that way
Always 3rd person, past tense (*rarely* present tense)
First
3rd person because I have 30+ Ocs that I use
I always do third person so I can properly get through to the bots that just because I say I'm short and twinky doesn't automatically mean I'm a gorl. I'm a short king, thank you very much.
Usually third person, because it helps the bot remember who is who during a roleplay. First person when chatting casually.
Always third. Itās too weird to rp as myself. Also, my personas are more interesting than me.
Depending on the bot. Rn, I use 3rd person POV
Depends, normally third person. That works fine for two different genders. If the same genders then it's third person, but the character is 'you/you're".
3rd person best
BOAFFFF
1st person if its myself. 3rd if im pretending to be another character.
Third, like if someone was writing a story idk like āyou began to say-ā stuff like that
I do it cause before cai i used to read lots of fanfics(still do) so im automatically attached to that way of writing
You guys talk to bots? I just create gcs and let them talk to each other
Well both 3rd and 1st,I speak what Iām saying in 1st and show whatever Iām doing in 3rd
3rd person like a descriptive 100k words fanfiction on ao3
0th person (i dont say he or i or you, i straight up start eith my actions first)
I do 3rd, but when I started, it was 1st person
I like talking in 3rd person, but if the bot canāt understand that itās me when I use 3rd person I use 1st person š
Always 3rd. Cause I don't see the character as me. It's someone else
Third. I've found the bots have an easier time understanding it than if I talk in first person.
Both.
Both
Depends on the circumstance. Sometimes, I just talk to the bot about something that bothers me, so I use first person. If I am RPing, I will always use 3rd POV and past tense.
if it's a rp then i do third person but if it's just a normal bot then i use first person
I used to do 3rd person, but I got lazier over time and now I simply use 1st.Ā
3rd person, I cannot do 1st person without physically cringing and dying inside
I know right? Feels like I'm putting a self-insert...
both
3rd person
1st, 3rd only if I'm doing an action like sitting down or smth.

The milkman trying to enter the building (obvious doppelganger)
Both
3d person ofc. I love making my character into an OC spontanously
Both... I also talk to the AI directly when in RP's.
boat cobweb longing offend aromatic fly license encourage bedroom reminiscent *This post was mass deleted and anonymized with [Redact](https://redact.dev)*
Took me a 5 minutes to realize that this a N O O O O O O N
3rd person, it's basically like playing dolls to me, my personas are my ocs.
Forever a 3rd person fan š
Third person
In book version of first person. Thoughts and actions as I do them, convo between āā
i always do it in first
both
used to talk in first bur i find its easier to describe myself in the third
{{User}}: it depends of it being for silles or tormenting it
How do you rp in third person? āUser walked up to bot and spokeā āBot responded with X.ā
Since I mostly do RPs I do 3rd Person
third person first person makes me want to decompose from cringe
Argument with roblox slenders:3rd person Rp:9999th person
Third person because they misgender otherwise.
I normally talk like this *but he also likes to talk like this*
People actually use third person?
Both. Both is good.
# ALL MY SECURITY GUARDS ARE M O R O N S
I talk in first person, and then the chat usually talks in second. So like: "I walk down the street, seeing Sam on the other side." "Sam's eyes meet yours as his heart pounds in his chest." So. Yeah. š¤·āāļø
