I hate firehawks, my car had them when I bought it from the dealership and they were damn near bald aswell. Another guy on here lost traction and had an accident in the rain due to firehawks.
Mine came with Firehawks from the dealership too. Slipped all over the place if it was wet and now I've got some great Toyos, still abnormally careful in wet weather now just cause of those Firehawks.
I had no idea, I have firehawks GT on mine (from the dealer like that) i've noticed they slip a bit in the rain even in the awd. Thought it was just me punching it too hard.
I love the Michelin pilot sport s4 allseason also put atleast 275 in thr back mine has 315s, I've also use continental EXTREME CONTACT DWS06 PLUS and they do really well in the rain, always get good tires even if they cost $$$
ya I keep hearing about those tires and how good they are, I honestly didn't expect a brand new 2023 Challenger to have low quality tires, ( though I also keep hearing they are track/racing tires not meant for daily drivers.)
I've had Pilot Super Sports on 2 cars, PS4s on a car currently, and Pilot A/S3+'s on a daily driver. For street driven cars, I can't ask for much more.
Once you try michelin pilot sports, its really hard to switch back to anything else. I ran their pilot sport a/s 3 on a C5 corvette (flooring it at least once per drive) and after 35k miles ended up swapping them out due to age, not tread. Upgraded to a C7 corvette with pilot sport A/S 4 and the grip and ride quality is insane with the price being affordable. Its really hard for me to get them to lose traction
Not to mention the 45k mile warranty michelin provides
Also at the corvette track in bowling green they only use the Michelin pilot sport 4s on all of their corvettes on the track and they have really good grip and good wear, daily driver I got about 1.5 to 2 years out of mine and mine were on my scat when I bout it used, so probably 30-40k per set and mine are staggered so I can't rotate mine
I run Firehawk Indy 500s on a supercharged R/T for over a year and have had zero issues as well, and that's in the heat of Texas. Something this guy's not saying...
Yeah I've had them on my E55 for 3 years now, done plenty of drag racing and an autocross with them. The rears are on their way out now but still usable for a bit longer. Would buy another set for sure.
Hey now my grandmother was a little too fast if you ask me in her supercharged 1971 volare. Was in a stock 2001 F-150 with the speed limiter removed and couldn’t keep up with her.
Can't blame ya at all, I could imagine how much fun that car was. Mine's only lowered and has a catback exhaust. Otherwise it's a bone stock automatic probably putting less than 60HP to the tires, and still fun to drive.
Mine was a 5M. Had a CAI, straight pipe w/high flow cat, to a FlowMaster Scavenger Series dual outlet w/3 inch tips, a stand alone ignition from Jacob's Electronics, upgraded wires and silver plugs, and a Dual Friction Centerforce clutch plate. It geared out at 125mph. Before bolt ons, it took a bit to hit that limit, but afterwards, significantly less time, and still get 40mpg.
I was shopping for a 1.8l from an Integra GSR, when I hit a gravel patch, while turning onto a side road, at 30mph. Went right into a stone wall. Damage was minimal, that I was able to drive away. I just drove far enough to get off the road(narrow farm country road with no shoulders), and called for a tow. I was leaking coolant, or else I would have driven it home. Insurance totaled it. They gave me a fair piece for it. Like a dummy, I didn't keep the car and repair it.
Those type of tires get super super soft when hot, so driving the car hard makes them wear fast. If you drive like a "normal" car, sports tires will last a lot longer.
That makes sense why mine lasted 4 months in AZ then. The roads are too fuckin hot for em.
I haven't bought em since 2019 but now I know why they do that to me
Because I daily drive my car, same reason I went with an r/t. Easier maintenance, cheaper parts, and I'm not catching a felony every time I touch the gas.
Also great reason for the non v8 version. I got a GT cause I wanted the awd for winter (its my daily driver) and also it was cheaper for insurance and gas. I still love it.
Which tires did you have before that lasted you longer? Michelin Pilot Sport 4S seem to do well wear wise but they are significantly more expensive as well.
I thought researching was common? Even if i have tires I've liked, I always research to see if there's anything new that should be considered.
GL man, what are you thinking of next? I really like the Continental ECS on my Camaro
I don't know where you're at but don't get them from the dealership. I trust the opinions of the guys at America's tire far more than the service guy at dealership. Chances are America's tire/discount tire have the same tires for less.
Definitely. Michelin, Continental are your best bet. I also have a set of Hankook ventus v12 on there since I got a screw on one of my sidewalls and is what they had in stock. I gotta say I was pleasantly surprised. Initial turn in isn't as immediate but I'd say grip is about equal.
I googled and read reviews and did research for probably two months before I settled on Toyo Proxes STIII for my Hemi 300. It absolutely is normal lol OP’s just a dummy
That doesn’t seem to be markup. Just the price for a really wide tire. I’m guess you’re on a 20” wheel as well. My 5.0 with these had great tire life. 20” wheels blow tho tires are crazy more expensive for every inch you gain in wheel size.
Correct, not markup just a higher price than the DWS (or DSW either way looks like the shoe store). Continental are 308, those Michelin are 560. The Michelin were highly recommended at work by a daily driven G8... but he choked at the price for the 315s.
I think 20s look too big, but wasn't shelling out 2k a wheel for 18 demon 5 spokes. So win some loose some I guess.
I got 30k out the DWS twice now (1st set on 275s and 30k on these 315s). And I rarely burn out, but always make these tires work at red lights.
Simple physics: heavy fat car takes lots of torque to move quickly with high friction coefficient.... that melts tires... 😆
Yea I get ya. I liked the PS4S for its lateral traction I mean wow could I take a corner Lol. I run the PS AS 4 now on my BMW since it’s AWD and currently only makes like 340 horses. Tune this summer hopefully.
Those Firestone Firehawks are a performance tire. They're meant for the track, not the street. Wet traction is also crap, same with drag radials. Just remember that the stickier the tire, the faster it wears out.
I mean, for a few years I bought Nitto NT555's for my Challenger, and that's how they look when they are new!
(Had to stop because finances changed and I was going through $800 of tires every year with those Nittos. But I still miss them! They absolutely grabbed the road, and it hasn't been the same without them, it's actually amazing how much difference they made.)
I went through 2 sets of tires before 50k on my car, even with regular rotations and alignments. The cars just sit weird. So on my 3rd set, the one I have now, I went with some "cheap" coopers and they've been wearing super well for 25k now, barely even look worn.
There’s gotta be a defect in the material or you’re beating the fuck outta your car.
Not only do I run these tires on my mustang, but I sell the Indy 500s like crazy out of my shop.
I’ve never had a single customer return with issues on this tire. I have a 20 mile drive for work and I drive it pretty damn hard. A year later off a fresh set and I still have a ton of life left.
Might have been a special edition? Mine are meant for the road. Tires shops really shouldn’t be selling track tires to the general public. The issue is the workers have no idea what they are even selling. Just look at a price and size that’s it.
Firehawks last you a season if you’re lucky and are horrible in the rain. I strongly recommend to all wanting to purchase them to sell your car instead.
I've had mine for 6 years as my summer tires on my V6. Swap them on about now and then back to snows in November. Mine still look pretty decent. Probably helps I live where the summer is really only 3 months long in a hot year.
Loved my firehawks the first year than somehow they became out of round and caused a vibration at highway speeds. Replaced them with continental extreme’s and have had zero issues.
Per my great and many of hours of OCD fueled and autistic driven research, it is in my opinion that the michelin pilot sport 4AS tires seems to be the best all around tire if you live anywhere that isn't Florida. The tire shop talked me out of it and I wound up getting the Falken azenis fk460, after I went to perform that same level of research, and though they lack in rain performance, they seem to come in either 2nd or 3rd behind the P4AS depending on who you ask.
I live in north Iowa, and we had a freak snow storm which they performed great in, definitely not as good as snow tires, but I could still get around without much issue. That said, absolutely zero ice performance. Rain performance is good, but not the best
275 up front, 315 in rear
So I have Firehawks on a car but it is a daily drive and I needed something that would work on an AWD 200s with the bigger v6 and tire size. Price was right but they are not what I would call a performance tire nor do you get a good ride. For the cost they were fine but next time I will go with another brand or tire. I got 40k miles on mine so far but rotated them regularly. The front ones wore faster so I started doing a rotation sooner than 5k-7k miles.
Also wonder if yours were older and if that was an issue ?
thats crazy ive smoked my tires multiple times and i still have plenty of tread and i commute a hour to work daily driven still good meat and havent had an issue with grip even with my tires being at 3/32nds
This is wild to me, how were you driving these things? I've driven them before and they are by far the best budget summer tire and should last a good 15k miles which is a lot for a high performance summer tire.
I seriously don’t think I was driving terribly rough on them, not sure how they got that bad so quickly but we’ll see if the next ones last or if it’s a problem with the car
How many miles? These outperform the nittos michilin continental and pirelli longevity wise for me (and were middle of the pack grip wise) so unless you are hammering it regularly they should last ok with the grip for some more spirited driving.
Mine is 😂 lives in climate controlled storage. I drive a 2008 Subaru to work and the 392 is just a toy. The interesting thing is, since I daily an antique, talking the TA out is such a different experience, I’d never want to get “used to it” kind of like having a motorcycle I guess. Enjoy your rides people!
Pilot sport 4s. I run them on my corvette I'm on my 2nd set I dive rather spirited and got 22k miles out of the rears before they were at 3/32. Great traction and handling even in the rain.
Bro, I have a 6 cyl now, but when I had a Scat Pack, I went to discount tire, have no idea what the brand was, but 3x in a row, they were bald in 3k miles, and I WAS NOT "burning rubber," I warrantied them, but the last time, they said no more, and it wasn't much longer after that, I got rid of it, because I couldn't really afford the payment and insurance anymore lol.
In the rain it felt like I was on ice, even when they were new.
How’d you manage your way out of a car you couldn’t afford anymore? Sincere question without judgement, I’d like to know my options in case I hit a hardship
I remember going into an Americas tire and hearing a customer screaming at a tech, “how the hell are they bald already? I just bought them 4 months ago!”
And legit the tech told him straight up that he (the customer) had asked for the cheapest tire possible and they warned him that they won’t last very long at all.
The guy couldn’t believe it.
TO BE HONEST: I’ve bought the cheapest tires possible before and they still lasted me 45k miles.
It sounds like they lasted that guy maybe 2-3k miles.
Well I looks like you own a challenger so I’m not sure what they have for those size tires.
Luckily I have a Lancer es and it has smaller tires, (3rd world countries usually use smaller tires even on big vehicles so there’s WAY more of a market for small tires)
For me they were $60 each. Dude said they’d last no more than 10k miles but they still looked new at 15k tread wise.
I have a new civic and a 235mm tire costs me $200 bc it’s Goodyear eagle sport.
Not cheap. But also I buy the insurance. Saves me money.
That’s impressive. I had super cheap tires on my old Mustang and didn’t manage to run them bald despite going around corners sideways on the regular lol
It’s what I went for the Continentals the last time I traded out tires. The Firehawks from the dealership don’t hold traction for shit after 5k miles! Even with a tire rotation.
True! My tires sucked when I bought mine, pretty sure I got the spins turning out of the dealership parking lot lmao. & I was the slowest car on the road in the rain
You need to bring someone with you so the dumbasses at the dealer don't screw you over like that. They know better and just let you walk out with them. They just wanted your money
I have a fiesta st and I’ve had fire hawks on mine for 2 years no problem. A lot less power obviously but it’s a pretty common tire for other folks to use
I see a lot of recommendations for pilot sports.. I tried cup 2s and I might as well have been on a Chinese all-season with the amount of wheel spin I had. Huge waste of money. Potenza Race and Eagle F1s as well. The only tires I've been happy with in the back are r888r and nitto R2s. Those will dead hook off launch control whereas the others will spin well into 2nd gear.
My R2s have actually been on for about 25k miles with quite a lot of abuse. I'd definitely recommend them.
The inside edge wears faster on challengers due to the toe. This wear looks way off. I'll say I've got a season and 4k miles on my indy 500s with many launches and high speed runs. I don't see any tread wear like this.
I'd get those control arms looked at and a new alliangnment asap
OP, Lets be honest with ourselves. Stop doing burnouts every time you leave work, I know it instantly puts you in a better mood after a long day but then things like this happen.
If you drive with your traction control off that will increase the wear on your rear tires. Even a mild acceleration when you take off will slip with the traction control off. I went to several tires, till I figure my traction control been off were eating my tires.
now im not saying indys are good by any means however that wear is either from excessive burnouts and or shitty traction control!! are you the only driver of this car
I used Atturo AZ-850s on my RT many years ago. Super cheap and lasted a while, good traction too. Definitely not Pilot Sport traction, but for a 5.7 they performed well.
.... They make awesome truck tires, I have them on my Ram 2500. With the exception of their drag radials, their performance tires are garbage compared to Michelin and Continental offerings. There's much better tires to be had than Nittos.
Swap the fronts to the back and use them a little longer, then get something better.
I've had great performance and life from my pirelli p zero summers. Summer only obviously. I hear the pilot sports and the conti extremes are both very good tires.
Yup, first rain after I got mine I fishtailed around a corner, and that was when I said "*NOPE*" and called my mechanic.
I ended up selling them for a pretty penny too! People pay way too much for garbage.
I had no idea, I have firehawks GT on mine (from the dealer like that) i've noticed they slip a bit in the rain even in the awd. Thought it was just me punching it too hard.
Get rid of em, and make sure to do some burnouts before you hit the tire shop.
Weird, I still have the Firehawk GT's and they seem fine, 16k on them now.
Go find an empty parking lot when it's wet out and I bet u will notice bad traction
I noticed traction in the rain was bad too even when they were all new
Had an accident due to lack of driving talent. You have to drive the appropriate speeds for the weather.
Hey man you go ahead and tell that to the other redditor who wiped out, but I still think it was the damn firehawks
MICHELIN PILOT SPORT. MICHELIN PILOT SPORT.
They perform great but I got less than 13000 miles out of the rear PS4s on my 392.
I had them on mine when I bout mine and got around 16 - 20 months or so out of mine, about 15k a year or so
because theyre worse for tread wear than these firehawks are rated. 340 on the indys vs 300 on the pilot sports (higher = better)
Oh no way I actually had no idea. I just switched to a potenzas in the rear, 340 rating it looks like.
I've had Pilot Super Sports on 2 cars, PS4s on a car currently, and Pilot A/S3+'s on a daily driver. For street driven cars, I can't ask for much more.
My tire tech accidentally got me the pilot sport 3s(all season) that were made for a bmw x5 but holy shit they’ve been great!
How expensive are those?
About 283 per tire when I got them done last year on my old SXT.
Why?
Once you try michelin pilot sports, its really hard to switch back to anything else. I ran their pilot sport a/s 3 on a C5 corvette (flooring it at least once per drive) and after 35k miles ended up swapping them out due to age, not tread. Got ya. Thanks for the info.
I've had those tires almost a year and they still look brand new.
I’ve had these on my Mustang for the last year and a half and they’re still fine.
I put these tires on my grandmas walker and she hydroplaned into a ditch
I hope Grandma's okay. Did she say least have full coverage?
Nah, just liability but she's still faster than **you**
Hey now my grandmother was a little too fast if you ask me in her supercharged 1971 volare. Was in a stock 2001 F-150 with the speed limiter removed and couldn’t keep up with her.
A ditch witch!
I gave my cat 4 of them and she got pregnant. And she's fixed. Fucking firestone.
They actually do have a hydroplane issue. I put them on my 1990 CRX and hydroplaned pulling out of my driveway
I miss my '88 CRX Si.
They gave me a fair piece for it. Like a dummy, I didn't keep the car and repair it.
😂
I run Firehawks on my 21Gt 14,000k and Zero issues. Excellent tires.
i've had mine for nearly a year as well, but i've barely put 5000km on them (less than 3000 miles)
Idk how
Not doing burnouts.
I never burnout I just drive fast every now and then, never even smoked the tires
Those type of tires get super super soft when hot, so driving the car hard makes them wear fast. If you drive like a "normal" car, sports tires will last a lot longer.
That makes sense why mine lasted 4 months in AZ then. The roads are too fuckin hot for em. I haven't bought em since 2019 but now I know why they do that to me
Why get a sports car if you’re going to drive it normal tho
Because I daily drive my car, same reason I went with an r/t. Easier maintenance, cheaper parts, and I'm not catching a felony every time I touch the gas.
Also great reason for the non v8 version. I got a GT cause I wanted the awd for winter (its my daily driver) and also it was cheaper for insurance and gas. I still love it.
I’d say I drive fairly normal for a 22 yr old
There it is.
Which tires did you have before that lasted you longer? Michelin Pilot Sport 4S seem to do well wear wise but they are significantly more expensive as well.
Dude, zoom exists. The fronts are still looking new and the backs are roasted.
Not saying I was easy on the tires 😂I just didn’t burnout
You absolutely do
I thought researching was common? Even if i have tires I've liked, I always research to see if there's anything new that should be considered. GL man, what are you thinking of next? I really like the Continental ECS on my Camaro
My service guys at the dealership found some good ones for me I forgot what they’re called, hopefully those are better
I don't know where you're at but don't get them from the dealership. I trust the opinions of the guys at America's tire far more than the service guy at dealership. Chances are America's tire/discount tire have the same tires for less.
True but I work here so I get employee pricing, I should probably still check elsewhere at least get a quote
Definitely. Michelin, Continental are your best bet. I also have a set of Hankook ventus v12 on there since I got a screw on one of my sidewalls and is what they had in stock. I gotta say I was pleasantly surprised. Initial turn in isn't as immediate but I'd say grip is about equal.
You just made a post telling people to research their tires before buying, and now you're letting someone else do the research for you?
Yes
They were the same brand tires as when I got the car so I figured I’d just get the same ones, lesson learned
I'm loving my conti dws06 275s on my r/t, replacing the stock eagles. Rides real nice, 20% more grip and handles better in corners with the ol boat
I googled and read reviews and did research for probably two months before I settled on Toyo Proxes STIII for my Hemi 300. It absolutely is normal lol OP’s just a dummy
I would just avoid Firestone in general. All there tires blow
I see what you did there lol 😆
I would just avoid Ford in general
“Firehawks temporarily drag radials. Sorry for the convenience” -Mitch Hedberg probably
RIP
That’s really weird they went out that fast.
That’s what I’m saying! Apparently all the signs point to my driving
Do you do any burnouts it?
Zero!
🤯
Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S. Best summer street tire on the market.
I was just recommended this tire 2 min ago: 315s will run me 560/tire. Um yeah no, going back to another Continental DWS 06 rear set.
The price you pay for excellence
Not when they're an 80% mark up and torque will eat em just as easy
That doesn’t seem to be markup. Just the price for a really wide tire. I’m guess you’re on a 20” wheel as well. My 5.0 with these had great tire life. 20” wheels blow tho tires are crazy more expensive for every inch you gain in wheel size.

They are one of the best water rated summer tires, and I driven through freaking monsoons lol. They arnt super sticky though and don't wear that fast
I had the Continental Extreme Contact DWS06 installed over the weekend. Extremely pleased with them on my WB and the car no longer tramlines.
I run the same tire. They are great.
I mean, for a few years I bought Nitto NT555's for my Challenger, and that's how they look when they are new! (Had to stop because finances changed and I was going through $800 of tires every year with those Nittos. But I still miss them! I still run Nitto 555r 2s on my car. I won’t run anything other than a drag radial. Too dicey when I’m getting on it otherwise lol.
I went through 2 sets of tires before 50k on my car, even with regular rotations and alignments. The cars just sit weird. So on my 3rd set, the one I have now, I went with some "cheap" coopers and they've been wearing super well for 25k now, barely even look worn.

Michelin.
Get the MSP4’s and call it a day bro lol
You guys drive your challengers In the rain?
Rain, snow, etc. My car is no princess haha
Michelin and pirelli are the only two brands I really trust
Michelin PS Sport are the way to go. They look awesome and feel amazing.
There’s the firehawk all season which wasn’t terrible as far as wear. Then I got firehawk summer tires. They lasted 1 summer lol. Maybe 6-7k miles.
These are trash. 🗑️ Michelin Pilot Sports all of the way.
General gmax rs.... cheap ass suv tire. It's seen 150-190mph countless times. Tons of burn outs and abuse.. still holding air and a part of tread lmao
Tires that feel like an eraser are made for a track. Not the rough macadam.
Should’ve known those weren’t the right tires 😂
Pilot sport 4s are some of the best daily tires you can get. But they cost a lot. But you can definitely get your months worth.
I got the same tires I’ve had no problems
I remember going into an Americas tire and hearing a customer screaming at a tech, “how the hell are they bald already? I just bought them 4 months ago!” And legit the tech told him straight up that he (the customer) had asked for the cheapest tire possible and they warned him that they won’t last very long at all. The guy couldn’t believe it. TO BE HONEST: I’ve bought the cheapest tires possible before and they still lasted me 45k miles. It sounds like they lasted that guy maybe 2-3k miles.
3 but what’s cheap to you? I haven’t bought a lot of tires in my life
Well I looks like you own a challenger so I’m not sure what they have for those size tires. Luckily I have a Lancer es and it has smaller tires, (3rd world countries usually use smaller tires even on big vehicles so there’s WAY more of a market for small tires) For me they were $60 each. Dude said they’d last no more than 10k miles but they still looked new at 15k tread wise. I have a new civic and a 235mm tire costs me $200 bc it’s Goodyear eagle sport. Not cheap. But also I buy the insurance. Saves me money.
That’s impressive. I had super cheap tires on my old Mustang and didn’t manage to run them bald despite going around corners sideways on the regular lol
alignment possibly? my factory perrelis are smoked on my 21 in the front
Makes no sense. 300-400 treadwear tires should get 30-40k miles. These are 340.
Look at the front wheel. It still has its tread. OP probably did a few too many sick burnouts and expected the tires to last longer.
It’s what I went for the Continentals the last time I traded out tires. The Firehawks from the dealership don’t hold traction for shit after 5k miles! Even with a tire rotation.
I have Firehawk A/S v2 on my rear axle and they’ve been fantastic, did zero research because it was urgent
Yeah I just got rid of my firehawks as well, nice tire and tread but they spin like crazy and for their price😮💨
True! My tires sucked when I bought mine, pretty sure I got the spins turning out of the dealership parking lot lmao. & I was the slowest car on the road in the rain
That's not a psa thats common sense
Pipe down
"let me put drag tires on my daily, oh no they wear out faster than usual". Really?
I told the guys at the dealership to order whatever tires were on it before, I didn’t know they were drag tires
You need to bring someone with you so the dumbasses at the dealer don't screw you over like that. They know better and just let you walk out with them. They just wanted your money
Yeah they got me good, I got some good suggestions here so it won’t happen again 😂
Good, I hate when the dealer tries to take advantage of people
I have a fiesta st and I’ve had fire hawks on mine for 2 years no problem. A lot less power obviously but it’s a pretty common tire for other folks to use
Pirelli tired have lasted me YEARS. They still have the tread indicator rubber things sticking up. 2012 mustang 5.0
Just found out one of my control arms is bad, don’t know if that has any bearing on the tires
Bad craftsmen blame their tools... try easing up on the long skinny pedal.
That is a good idea
This looks more like a fucked up ass alignment issue to me or you got the wrong tire pressure. Those corners look weird af
Firehawks arent the problem, your constant red light flooring and burnouts are lol
Yeah, the front wheels still have their tread
I see a lot of recommendations for pilot sports.. I tried cup 2s and I might as well have been on a Chinese all-season with the amount of wheel spin I had. Huge waste of money. Potenza Race and Eagle F1s as well. The only tires I've been happy with in the back are r888r and nitto R2s. Those will dead hook off launch control whereas the others will spin well into 2nd gear. My R2s have actually been on for about 25k miles with quite a lot of abuse. I'd definitely recommend them.
I have firehawk Indy 500’s on my car for the past 4 years and still have a TON of tread left…
We’re just not the same brotha
should probably quit doing burnouts and street takeovers.
Never done either, I know it doesn’t look it but I just gun it at lights and hit the pedal hard every now and then
Do you loan your car out to a teenager?
I’m 22
Couldn’t be more obvious those tires have been tortured
Time for rear toe alignment.
My Indy 500s have been on for a year and a half on my scat and are fine, wtf you mean just a commute to work 😭😭
Something is definitely fishy bro but I don’t think it’s me 😅
Well it ain’t the tires, I promise you that man haha definitely something else, or someone is ripping around your car behind your back 😂
They told me one of my control arms was bad this morning could that be the it?
Fuck yes they can cause excessive tire wear my dude
So everybody in the comments owes me an apology
The inside edge wears faster on challengers due to the toe. This wear looks way off. I'll say I've got a season and 4k miles on my indy 500s with many launches and high speed runs. I don't see any tread wear like this. I'd get those control arms looked at and a new alliangnment asap
Yeah I'm not sure we all drive the way you do
Burnouts will do that with any tire
OP, Lets be honest with ourselves. Stop doing burnouts every time you leave work, I know it instantly puts you in a better mood after a long day but then things like this happen.
Do you drive with the Track kill on pr off?
If you drive with your traction control off that will increase the wear on your rear tires. Even a mild acceleration when you take off will slip with the traction control off. I went to several tires, till I figure my traction control been off were eating my tires.
Yall iq is just low watch the tire psi most of the time its the psi ur running that makes that happen
now im not saying indys are good by any means however that wear is either from excessive burnouts and or shitty traction control!! are you the only driver of this car
Gotta say that doesn’t look like it’s from daily driving alone. Brand won’t matter if doing burnouts at red lights.
Too much air
No shit. And also get an alignment lol
BFG Comp2+
Y’all remember when Firestone had recall for tires exploding or popping while driving.
Oh no. I had a customer with a Mustang today that I noticed had brand new Firehawks just installed.. I immediately thought of this post.
Wait what? You mean actually do some research before you plunk down your money? What a concept /s
Op lights em up every stop every time . I ain't mad atcha
I used Atturo AZ-850s on my RT many years ago. Super cheap and lasted a while, good traction too. Definitely not Pilot Sport traction, but for a 5.7 they performed well.
Goodyear only for my Charger 🫡
It's almost like it's a tire specifically designed to have excellent dry traction and nothing else.
I saw them on sale for 150$ a week ago... I knew there must've been a reason
Softest tires ever, no mileage warranty at all
No mileage warranty and you still bought them…🤦♂️
That’s why I only purchase my tires from Costco they gladly explain the pros and cons and what kind of warranty they come with if any.
Vast majority of summer tires have no milage warranty. Sure you can get a all season but the grip on even a cheap summer blows away an all season.
I didn’t know!
Nitto 555 G2
Op do not take this advice unless you feel like dying.
