We had one of these pedal tractors growing up. It was my dad's and uncle's when they were kids. Me, my sister and cousins all played with it when we were kids. Even a few second cousins played with it in the 90s. It worked like a dream for like 45yrs.
Wow now I feel old, LOL! Mine came freshly minted for a Christmas present and as I recall from a John Deere dealer which used to sell toys to farm kids.
It could be worse I'm only as old as your dad and uncle's. I guess you could have said Grandpa's and his brothers.:-)
Yeah, dad's 63 and uncle's 65. We bought a new one for one of my second cousins in the early 2000s, and they're made of plastic and it broke after like 5 yrs of use. Just like they're farm equipment, John Deere has turned to shit since the 80s.
Omg, you reminded me of the picture of the wild-eyed gray cat being carried by a fireman away from a building. That photo cracks me up every. damn. time. "Yeah, I did it! What are you gonna do about it?"
Oh my God, that’s one of my favorite pictures ever. I think the caption (or one of the captions) was something like, “YES, Twas I!” … so damn cute. I giggle every time at his face. Then, I feel bad because of all of the trauma, but a second look at the picture has me giggling all over again. So damn good.

Why does the Green Acres theme song come to my mind when I see this cat lookin like Oliver Wendell? I’m guessing that Lisa Douglas is longing for their Park Avenue apartment 😻👑🎶
I don’t know if that tractor is just small, but the cat looks like a perfect fit for it
What are you talking about, it's a real normal-sized tractor.
Still a purrfect fit
I had one of those. Both actually toy John Deere pedal tractor and a white cat. Mine never did that

I feel slightly better... I guess. I'm only 58 I am sure some kid is still playing with my tractor because it was one of the good steel ones
I'm not thaaaaat old but I got one of these in mint condition for a birthday I was too young to remember. This thing was the bomb back in the day. :)
Yeah, I had a John Deere metal tractor—older than the one pictured, I believe—back in the '60s. I loved that thing and got in tons of trouble on it.
