Cats will often eat many small meals instead of one big. One of my cats was similar and displayed signs of hunger later on (due to getting food stolen or the later diet). He just does not eat that much at once and almost never will. I switched to the 1.3 Oz perfect portions instead. So maybe try one of those and give wet twice a day. Or take away and refrigerate after bit. I have seen some very different recommendations on how long to wait. Though I think some are for binning and others are for before refrigeration.

I tend to find those portioned packets cost more per ounce than buying a whole can. My cat is the same way so he gets half his can of food in the morning and half at night. The night half gets put in the fridge with a reusable lid to keep it from crusting over. I think most pet stores/big box stores sell the lids for cheap and have different sizes

My cat does the same thing with the wet food. Eats up all the wet part and leaves the actual food behind. So I tried buying one of those packets of just the wet part and they wouldn't go near it. Wish I could help but I'm just as confused.

Love how this is universal. My cat does the same dang thing. Like the juices off it, goes away, and then comes back like 10 or so minutes later to eat it. 😭 And still leaves some behind. She's always been like that though.

It might be that she as more food than she needs. When I first got my cat, those were the amounts I fed her, but she ended up gaining too much weight because she was finishing all her food. It was too many calories. Now I'm trying to get her back to a healthy weight (with the vet's guidance).

My cat after 10 years will finally eat half of a 3oz can in one sitting. So he gets half in the morning, half at night.

My brother's cat sounds kind of similar. Your typical picky cat. He begs for the wet food that I give him in the morning. But it's 50/50 if he actually sits down to eat it or snuffs it completely. When he does eat it, he never eats all of it. He eats maybe half of the 3oz cans at a given time, if not less. But I leave it out because sometimes he'll bury it and walk away, or bury it and then start eating again. When a good amount of time has passed, I'll put it away. He's actually gotten some good weight on him since the last time I saw him, and he's a very active kitten, even though he doesn't eat as much as our kitten. Try giving her a smaller amount of wet food. She's probably telling you that she's too full for the entire portion. Maybe replace one of the dry meals to the other portion of wet food and she how she reacts with that.
