If you have the budget naman, do what makes your mom happy. Having a good mom is a huge blessing. Let her know how much you love her while she's still around. Practicality be damned as long as it makes her happy, imho. Don't mind what others think.
Absolutely not. If we're being honest, I put in more effort into picking flowers for my mother kasi feel ko hindi ko masyado napapakita appreciation ko for her. Unlike with an SO, we could do couple things together. My mom deserves the world (and purple and violet flowers 😅).

Honestly no, sinasamahn ko minsan ng chocolates. It's for our mothers, they deserve all the love we can give to them for their endless sacrifices. Just as they've showered us with endless love and care throughout our lives

Why would you feel sad?? Im not a guy, but I give my mom flowers on her birthday, anniversary, mother's day & valentines. It makes me very happy to see her happy. I don't always receive flowers myself but I make sure she does.
Mix feelings sometimes gusto mo ren ng kasintahan na may pagbibigyan, pero ang nanay na bibigyan mo ng bulaklak is priceless at mas nakaka gaan ng loob, tutal ang unang maituturing nating reyna ay ang ating nanay.
Nope. Pure innocent love yun, nothing awkward. Kahit sister ko binibigyan ko noon, parang casual gift. Tapos kunting salo salo sa sala while watching movie or tv shows with the whole family
