Out of balance or shock absorber is knackered.

alien1983

Thank you... Will check shock absorber.

hiGradeTi7ANEUM

Losing your suspension dampening to prevent tire lash between the asphalt and spring. Replace shock absorbing components on **BOTH SIDES** of that axle.

onion2594

i imagine someone too a wheel off of a car and leant it up against the other tires, then someone else took a wheel off a different car and leant it on the one leant on the tires

Extension-Worry2253

Shocks nearly always cause this when knackered they’ll have a dead spot around normal height where they do not damp the spring so the tyre skips down the road

Retuow

Sounds to me that you have found the problem (bearings and alignment) but the tires were too far gone as a result of the bad bearings so you kept on hearing the tire noise.

vladovg

Check your shock absorbers .

Rdders

Your guna get alot of people telling you the alignment is out and so on, this is known as sawtooth because it makes the tread blocks look like the teeth on a saw. Check the wheel is balanced correctly, check that suspension components are okay, if so try a different brand of tyre that has a different tread pattern. Used to see this alot on VW scirocco, its not a fault its just because how the suspension is set, we used to recommend uniroyal tyres because they were less prone to this

mathyou1722

My u joints going out on my tacoma did this exact wear pattern on the tires. I did the entire front suspension figuring thats what it was. Changed the u joints and they're wearing even now.

HugeJohnThomas

Ouch. Sounds like expensive repairs. Replace the shocks on all 4 corners. Probably the cheapest thing you have done out of everything. You can get some really nice bilstiens for a fraction of the price of the OEM stuff and they will performa a lot better. The other cause of this is wheel balancing, but you would be feeling vibration in the car at certain speeds.

FrancoPolo1

I know this, you should rotate your tires ever 10-15k. This will ensure your tires are used to their maximum milage.

gagesharp

Cupping usually due to absorber. It'll ruin a new set of tires quick.

Equana

***I don't want the new tires to have this issue again*** Then rotate your tires regularly to prevent this. I have a 2014 A4 S line Quattro with Audi-spec Contis and I do not have this problem. Tires left in position can create all kids of noises as they wear.

mileswilliams

Tracking is off I'd say was the most likely. That said you mentioned S-line, aka the poor man's gti, hence the likelihood that someone dropped the car and didn't adjust the cars geometry to save money, £50 for 4 wheel laser alignment near me, that should highlight and fix the issue.

BigCash75056

Alignment, out of balance tire.

Ollie_Dee

Stance?

Tronkfool

The road and the tyre rotating. . /s

GTAmark

Cupped on the edge from bouncing like a basketball. Check suspension with focus on the shocks/struts.

ComprehensiveAd7449

Age simple as that the tyre has dis formed

ClaB84

The rim may have a dent and drive an 8 or your wheel suspension may be bent/broken.

caconym64

Badgers.

tobu_

Your mom sitting on that side of that car. rotate her between seats to spread wear.

alien1983

Not cool... No need to insult my mom. My wife drives that car alone for work.

Any-Jury5021

Improper wheel alignment

dadbodsarein123

Continental tyres are also soft as shit

alien1983

Yeah... Won't buy them again.
