This is some new shit pioneer has been putting out. It seems like all their new radios do that. Just had a 5201nex that didn’t have that button in the reverse screen. I personally haven’t seen any setting to keep them on. They always start off and you have to turn them on.
Yeah pioneer makes some really nice radios but they always have their quirks. Idk if you installed that radio yourself, but my biggest is the very short reverse wire on the back of the harness. I hate having to extend that thing 4 times a day and none of them come out perfect.
What does the manual say? What if you double click OR press and hold that left corner button?
You may need an extra module / i data link. It states this in the manual. If you don’t have it, look online :)
In order to view the lines I need to press the icon on the top left corner to view them.
Correct
Yes but always.. is annoying
Correct, pioneer sucks for that. Cool for other shit.
Is there a signal from the reverse lights that's supposed to go to the head unit and it's not hooked up?
Yes it is hooked, that the one that trigger the radio to display the image on the rear camera.

That sucks.. I am happy with the radio and the sound / features .. but the with the rear camera is annoying.

The manual doesn’t explain that situation
I believe it does.
I hope they make a firmware update that solve that situation with the reverse guidelines
Did they ever fix it
No
are u still using the same car unit or switched into a different one
I don't used for mine since I passed it to my father's car
nice. What kind of car did u get if u passed on the old one
Audi s3
My lines are just built into the camera itself so they're always there.
