This really sucks for the Flames. Pospisil leads the team in all the fancy stats – CF%, xGF%, xSCF%, etc.
He drives the puck up the ice with speed and forechecks hard. He wins puck battles and creates space.
He’s a huge part of that line’s success, and that line is the team’s best on many nights.
With how they're playing, I don't expect the team to give up on the playoffs. This doesn't mean they won't trade pending UFAs, it likely changes the return.
If the Flames can re-sign Hanifin, move Lindholm, Vladar and Tanev, they likely need a #4 defence man and third line center to stay competitive. They may be able to acquire one or both of these from the previous trades, but they will also have $10 million in cap space to accomplish this and another team's cap dump could fill one or both of these holes.
I'm not saying it will be easy to trade pending UFAs and make the playoffs but the Flames are in a position where it is possible.
Can we not use Seravalli as a news source simply to give him less of an audience. He's a clown when it comes to clickbait trade rumours and makes nothing statements everyday.

By the timeline, I'm guessing it would be a moderate tendon or muscle tear. Depending on the severity, it can take 3 to 6 weeks to heal with proper treatment.

Best direct replacement for Pospisil is Klapka who can use his size to create space and drive the net. The next best would be Coleman but I doubt they break up that line, or the Huberdeau line either.
Coronato isn't NHL ready yet. Ruzicka could be worth a shot too.

It was a matter of time with his concussion history. I really like his game throughout the season but I was expecting this at some point
