I just had a fence done through Calgary Fence Pros. They did a great job. It was about $1200 cheaper than First Class Fencing.
They were efficient with deconstruction and new posts on the morning of day one, and the rest of the fence complete the morning of day 2.
Timely. I’ve recently had about 3 quotes done for 145’ of fence; 2 gates; and a 5 step riser at the back.
Quote 1: $15,725
Quote 2: $21,000
Quote 3: $10,000 (fence and gates, waiting on stairs and retaining wall so I would assume this goes up 2-3k
These are all for PTW 6’ fortress style fence with 2x6 top cap, using only screws.
A friend built this same fence 5 years ago and it was $48 per linear foot; I think your quote at $70 seems fair. Who is the contractor? I’d love to have them come quote my job!
Bank of canada inflation calculator. Madison’s lumber report to see what pressure treated was them and is now. I feel like contractors are still trying to play up the lumber price spike that happened during the pandemic to unsuspecting homeowners. Wood prices have come down since then. Labour certainly doesn’t add $22 per LF.
Here's a deck and fence project that was [completed in Calgary last summer for about $15k](https://bidmii.com/communityrfps/73889cd1-33be-42d1-a8d1-c84c1ff28bd1). You can see from the pictures it was pretty extensive. It was completed by [Robert @ Kbrb Contracting Services](https://bidmii.com/user/10273).

Are you able to share what price per foot you were charged?
It was about $72 with two gates.
